This album came today and a massive thanks to Terry (martinsane) for pointing me in the right direction.

 

This has proven to be the most difficult album to track down.

 

Toronto And Holly Woods - Assault And Flattery

 

Glad to hear you finally got your hands on it!

So what style of music is this? Any comparisons?

postman's green bag came full today after easter's holidays(18 parcels)....didn't open them all...but for sure it was nice to find in them at very fekking last an original copy of first nitefall demotape and psycho scream's 2 trax demo 94(both collections now complete- nitefall and the whole dofka-psycho scream-screamer-brick mistress puzzle)...

 

also i'm spinning now yngwie's-angels of love(taiwan version, no bonus, but different cover on the cd)....hope my japo version arrives soon....it's nice reading "rising force records"....how "ego" is this...... :lol:

The Cheap Trick influence is there for all to hear. I know The Smashing Pumpkins and Fountains Of Wayne were very influenced by Cheap Trick, so with Bun E. along for the ride aswell no surpises there I suppose. Not sure about Taylor Hanson's vox - he is ok, but he sure ain't no Robin Zander. I think a better vocalist would have made this even better. Hope you like it anyway mate.
