  1. Day 3 ended the event on a high note at least, no last minute lineup changes and the bands sounded good.
  2. Thanks! We hope so too. We heard this morning that Enuff Z Nuff is in fact performing today and Jetboy played at the after party last night. Still stinks how things have been handled especially with Ted's band.
  3. Overall the event has been disappointing through the first two days. Friday night was great up until about 10:00, although the crowd was smaller than I expected. Junkyard sounded good and were really nice guys. Winger and LA Guns both sounded great, but just when Tracii and the guys were starting to roll along, the sound was cut. From what I was told there was an issue with a sound ordinance with it being an outdoor show and the permit only allowed music to go until 10 . Why would you not have the bands start earlier with knowing this?!?! Saturday was full of even bigger disappointments. My wife and I noticed the band lineup info had changed. We heard rumors that Ted Poley, Enuff Z' Nuff and Jetboy were cancelled. Based on what I was told, it was the promoters who did the cancelling, not the bands who were already in town and wanted to play. Lynch Mob was the highlight for us on day 2 and sounded really good with Robert Mason, but it wasn't enough to salvage the day. I am worried that as a result of the promoter screwing over bands and the fans, many of which traveled from out of state, this might be the last event like this in the area. Despite all the issues we plan on going back today since we've already paid for the 3 day reserved pass and it is a fairly short drive there and back. As far as I know Romeo Riot, Lillian Axe and HOL are all still scheduled to perform today.
  4. Upcoming release from Steelheart Records, Volume 14 of their Lost UK Jewels series. Promo write up from AOR Heaven site http://www.aorheaven.com/NL/AORHEAVEN2018-02-09.htm The next round of the "Lost UK Jewels" series sees Preston based SWEET SIN, a product of the very vibrant North West music scene in the ‘80s, a scene that saw the likes of Dare, Angels Or Kings, etc. all vying for attention and that elusive deal. Undeterred by lack of label interest, SWEET SIN decided to self‐release their own album in 1988: seven tracks of smoldering Hard‐Rock in the vein of Dokken, Ratt and Whitesnake. First time ever on CD, digitally remastered incl. liner notes by Rob Evans and strictly limited to 500 copies!
  5. Vandal "In Your Eyes" off their 1994 album Julian Day
  6. I'm still on the fence, despite the added tracks and the movie, it just seems like this is the "clean" version and the original release is the "explicit" version of the album
  7. This upcoming weekend my wife and I will be going to 80's In The Park in Cocoa Beach, Florida. The bands performing include: House of Lords, L.A. Guns, Winger, Lynch Mob, Ted Poley, Junkyard, Lillian Axe, Enuff Z' Nuff, Jetboy, Kenny McGee, Romeo Riot, Gene Loves Jezebel, Mark Evans (of Heaven's Edge) plus others. Additionally, they have a convention room with meet and greets and approx. 60 tables of vendors selling compact discs, vinyl as well as new & vintage music memorabilia.
  8. I only have this in mp3 format. I've read some positive comments about the band in the past, but unfortunately the album didn't do much for me the couple of times I played it.
  9. At 1:38 of this scene from the movie "Fright Night" (original from '85 was a fun horror comedy, if you haven't seen) when Charlie attempts to punch his neighbor the Autograph song You Can't Hide From the Beast Inside starts playing in the background.
  10. Rest in peace Pat. From everything I had read, he was very much loved by fellow musicians. Besides being a great drummer it sounds like he was a great person. I actually started a thread on his passing too, under Exquisite Entropy, when I heard the sad news yesterday
  11. First single, from their upcoming album "8" (to be released by Golden Robot Records on March 16), Time Enough For That is out now. https://www.facebook.com/LittleCaesarOfficial/ 21 Again Mama Tried Vegas Crushed Velvet Good Times Time Enough For That Straight Shooter Another Fine Mess Morning That's Alright Mixed Signs (Bonus Track) Slow Ride (Bonus Track)
  12. I'm not feeling that chorus either, it sounds like they brought Beavis and Butthead in to do the backing vocals
  13. The previously unreleased video from the band's debut
  14. Another track made available on Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/kivel-records/do-you-love-me
  15. From Vintage Vinyl News site http://www.vintagevinylnews.com/2018/02/passings-pat-torpey-of-mr-big-1954-2018.html :
  16. Did anyone purchase this one yet? If so, I was curious what your initial thoughts are on the package? Seems like a reasonable price but I was a little hesitant after the first promo video.
  17. Very nice, I'll be adding this to my list of releases to watch for
  18. From the promo videos released so far, I think Ronnie does a good job with the vocals on these songs.
  19. Interesting, I never knew that. I do recall Darren putting out some instrumental albums, but was completely unaware he joined up with Love/Hate. Thanks for sharing the info.
  20. Love/Hate's first two albums were great. This sounds promising. The write up refers to Darren Householder being a member of Love/Hate. I may be mistaken, but I don't recall him playing on any of their records, so maybe he joined them on a tour?
  21. I read some of those posts you mentioned, a few people even stated they would download all the songs except the title track or wouldn't buy the album simply because of the title, unreal. Anyway, I concur, great album cover and I too am looking forward to this one.
