  1. I listened to this today and quickly realized your description of the singer at times sounding like Cher doing country rock was spot on. Overall, a nice album, but the vocals seemed a little out of place
  2. Nice tune, they may be a bit safe as some have mentioned, but enjoyable enough that I plan on checking out the full album when it gets released
  3. Surely there is a better song they could have chosen as first track to promote the new album. Cheesy lyrics and Ronni's guitar sounds buried in the mix during the verses. Terrible!
  4. Defiants 2.0 is indeed excellent news. And although I enjoy most things Paul is involved with I have very little interest in another Darkhorse album. That was similar to Bon Jovi's Lost Highway, solid country rock, but not really my thing.
  5. It is similar in style for sure, but the songs aren't as strong to me. I think it is worth checking out for anyone who liked the debut. Just be aware that they had replaced the original singer when they recorded these tracks.
  6. I enjoyed it even more upon listening a second time. It is more consistent than the prior two albums, but I find that my favorite tracks on those releases are better than anything on this one. But that is just splitting hairs.
  7. Nice tune, easily the best song I've heard by them since Split Your Lip
  8. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the album, sounds like a good one. I ordered this one along with the new Maverick release today
  9. This would have been a must buy for me had Harnell remained involved. I'll still give it a listen out of curiousity. It is a shame great bands like TNT, Dokken, Ratt and others have allowed greed and petty squables get in the way over the years.
  10. I was thinking along those same lines, especially when the singer belts out those opening shouts. Solid tune, but had I heard it on the radio I'd never guess it was Bonfire.
  11. Promo tracks sounded good, but I have not yet ordered a copy. I'm interested to find out what you think of the album, once you've had a chance to check it out.
  12. I'm looking forward to hearing what this one sounds like. I enjoyed the first three albums, but the last one had a change in style and overall was a step down in quality, to me. I'm hoping this is more in line with those earlier releases.
  13. The Electric Boys have a PledgeMusic campaign underway to support their new album. Based on the info available, the guys are currently in the studio and the band is striving for an August release. Two songs have been made available for streaming so far. https://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/electric-boys-new-album
  14. Agreed, I am surprised these guys are still able to use the band name. I thought a few of their albums after Bormann left were solid but these new tracks just fall flat for me.
  15. Listened to it tonight and I was not disappointed. My favorite tracks at the moment are "Burn", "Elegantly Wasted" and "Dangerous". While it might end up in my top 5 this year, I initially feel it is a notch or two below their prior releases, with Rise Up still being my favorite.
  16. Haha! Indeed Poison is touring this year and did so last year. In fact, outside of a couple years off they have been touring the better part of the last two decades.
  17. Thanks for sharing, that is another well done mash up
  18. Good points, I really enjoyed Infestation and was holding out hope for one more album before they called it quits or further splintered apart like this
  19. I liked the first song, but this new one doesn't do much for me
  20. My copy should be arriving Friday, can't wait to give it a spin
