  1. Not long after the press release for the next album and the first single/video three members of Inglorious have apparently left the band (or been fired) https://sleazeroxx.com/three-fifths-of-inglorious-line-up-gone-with-one-replacement-announced-so-far/
  2. Thanks for sharing, hadn't heard any news on them lately, good to know they are working on new material. New song sounds pretty good to me.
  3. These guys do a nice job of balancing hard rock and melodic metal and these two tracks are perfect examples of that. Looking forward to checking out the full album.
  4. Finally a release date. I'm not expecting another Saints & Sinners, but something along the lines of Under a Wild Sky would be nice.
  5. Lyric video for the song "She Leads You On" from the upcoming album
  6. Decent tune with a Van Halen-esque solo, but it almost seems like they merged two songs together. The uptempo verses and solo don't quite fit with that mid-tempo chorus, imo.
  7. Thanks for sharing the info. That is a nice price for a five disc box set. I recall buying Long Cold Winter when it came out and being a bit disappointed the first time I played it. It grew on me quickly though and to this day I consider it my favorite album from the band. After Tom recovered from his vocal chord issues I had hopes that the original lineup would reunite for one more studio album but seems like that is highly unlikely.
  8. Kenny put the remaining tracks on his YT page for those who don't use paid streaming services and are interested in listening. The whole album has a very mellow feel to it. While his voice sounds good and I am glad to see him back making music most of the songs just didn't work for me.
  9. Indeed some heavy riffs by Karlsson on this track. Reminds me musically of Judas Priest's Painkiller album. It's good to hear Harnell again.
  10. Some interesting comments by Erik on his thoughts about "Into the Great Unknown" according to a recent interview with AOR Watchtower http://aorwatchtower.blogspot.com/2018/10/entrevista-com-erik-gronwall.html The next album was "Into The Great Unknown" , released last year. Undoubtedly, it is HEAT's most experimental work to date. What was different while composing the album that sets it apart from others, musically? Erik Grönwall: I think the big difference was that we did not spend as much time together as we did while working on the album and even while writing material. We were all spending time with other people in the middle and I think that somehow influenced the compositions. I honestly do not like "Into The Great Unknown" , I think we could have done something better ... but it was something we needed to do. I believe you already have some material being worked on for the new album. How would you define the musical direction of what is coming? Erik Grönwall: No antics. Hard & Heavy ...
  11. I agree the mixing/production leaves a little to be desired, the 'busy' sound is a fair critique, catchy tunes though
  12. Good album, the comments above are right on the money. If you liked the debut this picks up where that one left off, but with a fuller sound. My favorites are probably the first two promo tracks along with "Life Ain't Like This On the Radio" and "Until the End". But I'd be hard pressed to point out a song that I didn't enjoy listening to.
  13. Only point I was looking to make was that I agreed with the prior post above which had mentioned being frustrated that the guys hadn't put out many new releases over the last 15 years and that it may be beneficial to work with a better producer again. Your follow up post pointed to the time between their earlier releases being similar and I responded to explain how I felt that was different, no worries though, we just see things differently
  14. Inglorious indicated a few months ago that they had finished recording the songs for their third album, hinted as being heavier than their prior releases, which should be released via Frontiers in February 2019. The first song/video from the upcoming album is out now https://www.planetrock.com/news/rock-news/inglorious-say-heavier-third-album-is-done-and-reveal-release-date/
  15. I don't think Frontiers is involved with this one
  16. True they have been known for long delays between releases. But over a similar 15 year span from '84 -'99 they put out 4 albums vs. 2. And after Pyromania & Hysteria a delay was understandable following up hugely successful records (with long tours), Rick Allen lost his arm and had to relearn how to play, they scrapped recordings and started over with a different producer, and of course Steve's struggles with depression and alcohol eventually leading to his death while working on Adrenalize
  17. That is great news, one of the most consistent bands over the years
  18. Well said, they were one of my favorite bands for the better part of a decade starting with High 'n Dry but unfortunately outside of some tracks on Euphoria and a couple on the self-titled album they've done very little that has interested me over the last 25 years. Without Mutt pushing them and collaborating on the songwriting they seem to have been adrift without any clear direction
  19. Good tune, enjoying this one even more than the first track
