  1. So I found this one the other day and can not find any information about it? As you can see from the pictures it is out on Vertigo, the catalogue # is A09-097, the cd is gold (not cdr gold), and the Ronnie song is missprinted on the cd (Ronnin). Any Metallica-geeks out there that can provide a little release or anything information on this would be cool!
  2. Take a swing at what this is?!?!?!?! New Cook County Correctional Center, Chicago , Illinois (I guess if I ever break the law, I'd better do it in Illinois! Homeless people should have it so good!) Once again the taxpayer gets stung. It also shows that in most cases the quality of life for prisoners has improved considerably from what you might expect. And I always thought prison was for punishment! Just in case you ever get these two environments mixed up, this comparison chart should make things a little bit clearer: @ PRISON You spend most of your time in a 10X10 cell @ WORK You spend most of your time in a 6X6cubicle @ PRISON You get three fully paid for meals a day @ WORK You get a break for one meal, and you have to pay for it @ PRISON For good behavior, you get time off @ WORK For good behavior, you get more work @ PRISON The guard locks and unlocks all the doors for you @ WORK You must carry a security card and open all the doors yourself @ PRISON You can watch TV and play games @ WORK You could get fired for watching TV and playing games @ PRISON You get your own toilet @ WORK You have to share the toilet with people who pee on the seat @ PRISON They allow your family and friends to visit @ WORK You aren't even supposed to speak to your family @ PRISON All expenses are paid by the taxpayers with no work required on your part @ WORK You must pay all your expenses to go to work, and they deduct taxes from your salary to pay for prisoners @ PRISON You spend most of your life inside bars wanting to get out @ WORK You spend most of your time wanting to get out and go inside bars @ PRISON You must deal with sadistic wardens @ WORK They are called 'managers' THERE IS SOMETHING SERIOUSLY WRONG
  3. This is still fucked up and now with even more detail and knowing the angle the justice system will take just makes me almost sick and not so proud to be an American.
  4. Too true Jay. I remember reading his book back in junior high and when my buds saw him at the fairgrounds...15 years ago? I couldn't spend the then $45.00 a ticket, but woould have loved to have seen him and especially with the rest of the rat pack. And Ugh thanks for bringing up Layne, his death get's so run over by Cobains its a shame and let me tell you Layne was one of the nicest people I have ever shared space with. Dubrow comes to mind that was a total shock and then to have it turn into a drug thing was just a sad event. Dave Prichard is another that bums me out a lot. Mia Zapata's death shook the foundations of Seattle and her death was too soon and a tragedy of massive magnitude. And lastly, for now, Landrew the love child aka Andrew Wood from Mother Love Bone. Amazing talent and a crying shame for music as a whole.
  5. Dont get me wrong, my favourite movie of all time is a Rodriguez film (Sin City) saying that i watched Once Upon A Time in Mexico which it would stand to reason that id love this film between it being directed by the guy that did Sin City and it starred Johnny Depp whos my favourite actor (so as you can guessim looking forward to Sin City 2!) and the main character is a guitarist thats also a badass....figures id love the film.....but it was just too hard to swallow, like the end scene with Depps character, i felt the idea was good but the exceution was very bad.. i do have Desperado on DVD but i havent seen that or El Mariachi yt so im not too quick to judge him as a director and as for Luc Besson, i love La Femme Nikita, but couldnt stand The Transporter....i like films by all 3 directors, im just saying theyre all the sorta thing where you have to allow a degree of artistic license....although some films (The Transporter and Once Upon A Time In Mexico for instance) are just too circumstancial IMO while on the subject of film directors, even Guy Ritchie went over the edge when he released Revolver....a decent enough film, just abit pointless in the end if i remember right Of the trilogy, Once Upon A Time In Mexico is the worst and like you I love me some Depp. Rodriguez has done a number of films I have thouroughly enjoyed, hell even the first Spy Kids was great and if you notice Rodriguez does a lot of his own soundtracks... Very Carpenter-like of him. Dig into to Desperado some day soon it is far superior to Mexico and El Mariachi is a very similar film, think Evil Dead and then the a little more $$$'d version in Evil Dead 2, same/similar movie just a better production, etc... And to get back on topic Tarentino should be
  6. Nice little rant, very Leykis-ish and his disgust towards all things Nick Cage. (Which I agree'd with whole heartedly!) Now Tarentino...hmmm. As stated, I too recall when the mindless masses were trampling each other to get a veiwing of Pulp Fiction, which I watched a nano second of before realizing what a turd it was and it also had, Johnny "one character" Travolta in it which is an instant movie avoider for me. So I agree, Tarentino is a boob, but not the good kind and his films are worthless. And Mr. Ryder, Rodriguez makes Tarentino look even stupider. Rodriguez has done some amazing work, just watch El Mariachi and escapism is one thing, but please!
  7. :) "Whats the definition of a vagina? The box a penis comes in!" Neat thread!
  8. You say that as if it is a bad thing. Good catch Dave. Huh, huh, he said "rubbin' it out", huh huh.
  9. Being a parent, like many here, the mere thought of any harm coming to my children or any others, makes me see red (yea, kind of like the Warrant song). Would snap her neck like a twig and then spend the rest of my life in the klink for doing it... were as this broad will be roaming the streets squirting out more victims in a few years. Dan, your opinions are spot on and agreed with by me 100%. "Not guilty do to reasons of insanity"... just frickin' dumb logic! Are you ever truly "sane" when you KILL someone? Sounds pretty insane to me every time.

  16. That's a line from the Jeremy Pivens movie PCU! Pivens is saying this to John Favreau's character " Don't be that guy. Don't wear the shirt of the band your about to see... don't be that guy."
  17. Backed tenfold!!! Have not and will not watch, but seen the previews and fuck if that is not wrong on all levels!!!! What "sane" person wants to see little girls dressed and painted up like $2.00 street walkers??? I'm no prude, nor a saint, but shit like this is right up there with taking a shot at the Pope!

(I will get some scans up next week)
  21. Yeah, I wonder what storage unit the cases of this stinker are at...
  22. You see. In one paragraph I am hooked like a addict... Rubbing elbows is the correct phrase and hell nothing wrong with dropping names, looks and sounds like you have had an interesting life, so far and beleive me these stories are the best and you aren't the only one telling them, seems every entertainer I meet has a fist full of, "Oh one time I was here and was drinking with so and so..." stories and I eat them up like candy. As always thanks Dave for the breif, yet entertaining insights into your past. Annnnnddddd: I did not think the record was that bad, I think Wes sent it to me??? I have heard a hell of lot worse, of course as Geoff stated, I've heard a million times better, but like Dave says, someone at Geffen dug them and gave em a deal, who knows could have been a write off...
  23. Yeah it's a good story and all but I don't get why it's put on a pedastal. Two words..............MOLLY RINGWALD!!! She could do an adult diaper commercial and I would perk up and salute her... On topic: The Superhero Movie It has Leslie Neilson in it so its a sinch it's not up for best picture, but if you like cheese with your corn you will appreciate the Police Squad/Airplane schtick.
