  1. I veered away from this thread contemplating a response... I can't imagine anyone having a "desire" to meet a "rock star", but if by happenstance you bump into someone famous it is usually pretty cool. I have met a tone of 'rock stars", wanna be rockstars and just plain lucky jack ass' (Jerry Cantrel)(emphasis on the word jack ass'), but I am not on the hunt to meet anyone per se'.
  2. Not that I don't enjoy and agree with 99.9% of everything Geoff says, he is my ugly twin brother from another mother after all, but... back on topic: Agree with some of the bands mentioned: Steel metal panther Kitty skool danger shop, Spinal Tap et al, but I am surprised no one has mentioned the Perpetrators-Porno Rock. Check em out on Amazon, the cd is a bitch to find, but Amazon's got samples... http://www.amazon.com/gp/recsradio/radio/B...01&disc=001
  3. Hey, we're not talking about REAL football, we're talking about fantasy stuff. (I don't even bother trying to get into that battle. I don't remember what a win against you guys is like. haha) Ha Ha I meant to pointing at that buttalicious avatar of yours Jay, but hey it worked both ways...
  4. What do you mean "back in the day"???? Excuse me for a minute....
  5. LIB, agreed kind of a shocker, but he had to turn up somewhere, even though he is a buthole, he can play ball. Now where will THAT EGOTISTICAL MORON turn up?
  6. Certainly worth a look. Thanks! Here is a quote from the American Sugar Bitch site: SR: You recently reissued the Teeze album on CD. Are there anymore songs in the vaults for future Teeze releases, and is there any chance of getting Roughhouse re-released as well? DW: Yes there are many many more songs but I am not sure if they will ever be released for sale. We have so many great tunes in the can. In my opinion there are many songs that should have been on the Roughhouse album, the 2nd Teeze album (never released) and the final Roughhouse demos that were cut or never made it to the stores. The Roughhouse album would have been much better. There are real live hits we have in the can. Songs like Stickin To My Guns, You're Not Meant For Me, Beat Without A Heart, What Should We Do Boys, Play Dirty, etc.... As for pre-Roughhouse stuff??...I think that stuff was just as good or even better. Songs titled: Goin To The City, King Of The Night, Lock Up Your Daughters, Sick Again, Sleaze Patrol etc.... For the time...these kicked ass...I think if the original Teeze went back in for the second LP it would have been real big. Lastly the final Roughhouse demos are overall the best written in my opinion and the best songs we ever had to date. Song titles like: Tears Of Joy, Brass Bed Dance, These Blues, Wild On You, and Somewhere Girl. This was our hardest, deepest, darkest stuff. Full of balls. Luis maxed out on this stuff. We had Brian Stover producing this last demo and we pushed Louie pretty hard. He is a bit detached in the studio and after years of working with him I find it best to let him go. He takes the song to new places. Once he finds his spot...its all over. The guy is a natural talent and a big bullet to have your belt when recording and writing. He knows the roads to take. I think those last demos were our best work. Kind of weird, the best stuff came after all of the so called good stuff left us. We had no deal, no careers, nothing. Just like in the very beginning but with years of experience. I think it was just us doing what we wanted and it shows. We have talked of releasing more stuff. Its a challenge just to get these songs into our set at this point. We should be putting some in for our spring and summer shows this year. You can hear unreleased stuff from time to time at the Roughhouse myspace site. All of this stuff may eventually be out again. Maybe one of our re-issue guru's should try and release these??? I would guess by what I've read that the band would just as soon cut off there own arm than do that, but who knows, sounds like a lot of great material out there...
  7. That magnificent bastard LV Kix aka Dave is there now, hopefully enjoying the amazing institution that is Steelers football!
  8. Certainly worth a look. Thanks!
  9. Slept through GI Joe last night, guess I might have to take another run at it tonight.
  10. Nicely put! You would think that between the 2 of them they could do a LOT better. BTW: if that was the Mr. doing vocals on this he has certainly lost all his range (s). Lita could/should still do Penthouse though.
  11. <------------------ Did you say something?
  12. Bravo, Bravo!!!!!! I too run a "snatch back" are is it a snatching wagon? Aw hell!
  13. So as everyone knows, I love this Teeze LP from 84/85' and would love to get the cd, but cost and cdr concerns keep me spinning my LP. Anyways, I took a little time reading the bands bio, again, and noticed that outside the original Teeze lp and the re-issue lp + 2, there are also some demo's (from the summer of 1989, Galaxy Studios in New Jersey, resulting in a six song master featuring songs such as "Play Dirty", "Drive Me Mad", "Somewhere Girl" and "Action Speaks") and a second session of demo's with new members recorded at "Philadelphia’s famed KayGem Studios (home of Cinderella) and Victory Studios in early 1991. Former Teeze guitarist Brian Stover produced the sessions that gave the band new songs such as "These Blues", "Brass Bed Dance" and "Tears Of Joy"". After a little searching, I came up empty handed so I was hoping someone may have these tunes on a cdr somewhere they could share or maybe manicego has a box of these "shopped demo's" that he is using for rear-view mirror decor' and would like to share as well. Thanks in advance gang!

  16. She was shit hot 25 years ago and still is now!!! She was our favorite "Club" girl back then. Thanks to Keith for keeping Sam's amazing mammories alive...
  17. Oh Freeones, alphabetized by first name, nice, real nice!! Will agree though the usual suspects cohabitate very well here and I must say I have made some great friends thanks to Dan and his little web site.

  19. Still the best installment, imho. Star Wars kicks donkey balls, but Empire is, was and always will be the best of the trilogy.
  20. Got a voice mail from Dave on Friday, says everytime he logs in he gets kicked off for bad password?
  21. Reminds me of those 2 Everlast albums... Maybe Colt Ford is the illegitimate son of Whitey Ford?
  22. Jim, Sounds like you stepped back and appreciated life's little things and are having a great summer. That darn rat race can pull us away from the little important things, like sprinkler running, glad to hear all is well with you and yours and that your summer was a good one. I have been so wrapped up in getting and keeping work that there has been little time for anyone or anything, sure I've nabbed some cd's, if I didn't I would have to kill someone! and the family did a few "staycations" (we went to Yakima last week, about a 2 hour drive, to visit a mammoth dig site) but the economy has certainly put a damper on any "real family vacations". Sadly enough my wife and I are to celebrate 10 magnificent years on 9/9/09 and I really wanted to do something equally as amazing as she did, by marrying and sticking with I big ole 'tard like myself... we shall see, maybe another maxed out credit card is in our near future, you only live once right? and you may as well die debted to the hilt.
  23. Nice little pile there. You will be pleased with that Nelson disc and that Kirka disc does indeed R.O.C.K.!!
  24. That's a "Kix Kid" isn't it...
