  1. Bill Burr talking about the Quiet Riot documentary "Well Now You're Here". I haven't seen it, but it looks great.
  2. One thing I know about Brad Paisley is that lucky bastard is married to Kimberly Williams.
  3. His work with "July Reign" is pretty good also.
  4. Disc maintenance is one thing I don't miss. The other thing that annoyed the shit out of me was when you had a disc that wouldn't play on certain players. I found back then that it was usually the more expensive players that were the most fussy when it came to playing certain discs.
  5. Yeah, my least favourite album of his. I still appreciate it for what it is, but couldn't really find any standout tracks from it to post.
  6. You should get an old "expendable" disc, scratch the shit out of it and see how it comes out.
  7. I'm sure you know why I love that "Warrant" track mate.
  8. Stephen Pearcy is great at what he does. He needs to stay in his own lane.
  9. I really love these three albums! Another band that came and went, but at least they left us with these three gems. I could have posted all three in their entirety TBH. Carsten "Lizard" Schulz is another one of those "hired gun" vocalists. I'm a fan, but he can be very hit and miss. He certainly hit the spot with these guys. If you're a fan of early Michael Bormann "Jaded Heart", then you'll love this stuff.
  10. Radio Exile - No Pity on the Highway. A quality track from a quality album. You have to pump this one up!
  11. Well, if you're gonna cover a "Duran Duran" track it has to be their best one, "Wild Boys". This version is a cracker, if you forget the first 15 seconds. Pearcy should have done something like this.
  12. I thought I'd create some threads to highlight some of my favourite vocalists who've work on different projects over the years. Robert Mason is absolutely one of my favourite "hired guns". Strangely and regrettably, no solo albums from him. Here's a selection of some of my favourite tracks of his over the journey (in no particular order). It wasn't easy, but I've limited it to one song per project.
  13. Hmmm, you may have crossed the line there Brother.
  14. Ha! Yes of course, 1600! That makes the $90 supply kit great value then. Hey, it's 6:00 in the morning here and i've just woken up. I'm just glad you picked that up before Karpet did!
  15. There's a commercial that's been doing the rounds down here for a while now. It's for a company called "Luv-a-Duck" (that's "Luv"). They've gone for a parody of the John Cusack 80s movie "Say Anything". The great thing about it is that they've created their own 80s style song to go with it. As far as commercial jingles go, it's not too bad. I've posted the commercial followed by the full track.
  16. There was a time for me when I would've had to have purchased one of these. Not so much now though. For traders and CD collectors though, this sounds essential. I don't like the way they force you to purchase the supply kits however. Is one 30 second cycle enough to clean/repair one disc? If so then the 800 minutes would give you enough time/supplies for 400-ish discs. That's pretty good. I'm guessing even the most ardent trader/collector would take a while to eat through those 800 minutes. It would be nice to have a back up supplier of the pads and compound though, just in case.
  17. Okay, a joke loses something when you have to explain it, but here we go. If somebody has a grudge against you it's said that they "have it in for you". Thus, if there's any suspicion regarding parentage, it's called a "grudge pregnancy", as in someone had it (penis) in (vagina) for you. That's the best I can do without diagrams. BTW, my comment had nothing to do with Geoff. I'm sure everything's hunky dory there.
  18. I love the four pre-"Cowboys From Hell" albums.
  19. Bloody Hell mate! You've seen some great gigs over the years.
