  1. This isn't my thread, but you've just answered my question. I'll have to check it out.
  2. This was my first taste of JH and just the time and memories makes me a little bias I guess. I still stand by my comment.
  3. I know what you're saying. I used to refer to Mark Free for the earlier stuff. It's a minefield and I wouldn't bother for all examples, but this chick has earned my respect.
  4. A couple of fairly recent ones that I love.
  5. Here's an interesting one. Can anyone think of another example of 3 songs from an album appearing as covers on another future album?
  6. It's not about being PC, it's about showing respect when choosing to. Big difference.
  7. Another example of that wonderful Finnish humour (veep).
  8. What an album this is! Absolutely NO SKIPS REQUIRED! As with all of you guys, I was already a huge fan of their previous stuff, but when I heard this, it was next level. This was on very high rotation in the car CD stacker back in the day. I think this album represents Europe's peak and it came right in that '91 sweet spot. To be fair though, I haven't given their stuff after this as much time as I should. This album however is in IMO, one of the best ever. Perfect MHR.
  9. I know, it's like having a Dokken reunion album without Don. Just call it a new Eden's Curse album. If Michael Eden was dead then fair enough, but...
  10. I'd like to think that "illegal" immigration, in any form or in any country would be frowned upon. Whether a Mexican is heading to the US, or a US citizen is fleeing to Mexico, or a myriad of other examples around the world. Particularly during this "pandemic". Of course, there are many legitimate refugees and I'm not talking about them. It's not a racist philosophy, as Cody said, it's about protecting your home.
  11. Firstly, let me address the title of the thread. I've referred to her as Marcie voluntarily, out of respect. There's a big difference between that and being forced to do it legally. That being said, is this the best ever AOR album? IMO, yes, I think so. It's a big call, but this is a masterpiece. Unfortunately, with a lot of killer albums at the time, the production could have been better, but that's a minor nitpick. I got this one on release and instantly knew that it was quality. This is an "NSR" album (No Skips Required).
  12. Yeah, I've always verh much loved the first two Vixen albums as well.
  13. When it comes to best Female Fronted Rock bands, Vixen are certainly in the conversation.
  14. That surprises me mate. I thought you would have been all over Saraya.
  15. This and the debut are two of my gems. Perfect Female Fronted MHR. the intro to "Hitchin' a Ride" will blow you away! I was lucky enough to see Tony Bruno perform with Joan Jett in the early nineties at a great venue here at the time called "The Cathouse". I reckon Doggy may have been there also. I've also posted "Healing Touch" from the debut (probably my favourite Saraya track) and "Timeless Love", one of the best ballads ever that doesn't appear on either album.
  16. I always got a huge "Danger Danger" vibe from these guys. If this was released in '89 (D2 debut) or even '91 (Screw It), then it may have been a different story. They were about 3 or 4 years too late.
  17. Another no skip album, for me anyway. One of my all-time favourites. Many memories associated with this album. It's a time machine for me. Always takes me back to the glory days. They've never matched this debut. Another great party album. The last track is the only ballad. "I Stand Alone", "When Will It Rain", "Just Like A Devil", "Reach For Me" and "Brain Drain" are my favourites and of course, "The Lumberjack" is Legendary.
  18. Swedish Erotica - Down 2 Biz Niz. Unfortunately, I can't find a clip of this awesome track.
  19. For some reason, I'd always assumed you were. That's a shock.
  20. Nice. I get the same feeling about this community. The music unites us man!
  21. Another one I'm looking forward to. These guys are always good value.
  22. This song also appeared on the Michael J Fox movie "Doc Hollywood" from 1991. That's where they got their inspiration judging by the video description. One of MJF's worst films IMO.
