  1. Yep---Really liking the new album---Quality throughout
  2. I really liked the first album at the time, but after that, they fell off a cliff in my opinion. Their last 2 albums, 'Lower The Bar' & 'Heavy Metal Rules' were absolutely dreadful, so I'm not holding out any hope whatsoever on this one
  3. The last album was really good, but I think this one is even better. The best La Torre album so far
  4. Sweet...they seem to get better and better with subsequent albums
  5. Nice....This is going to be a great album again I think...Threshold don't do bad albums.

  7. Old Paul is a bit of a legend for me when it comes to AOR/ MR, with the mega Only Child disc, his S/T and 'Heartbreak' albums, as well as the Kid Glove and his input on the Alexa album (pretty much Only Child 2 with a female singer) all well worthy of attention. Since that, 2 or 3 of decent'ish solo albums and the odd mention on other peoples stuff. He gets my attention pretty much every time quality wise, so will definitely be checking this one out.
  8. I liked their first 2 albums and they have always had a bit of a 2nd rate Cheap Trick sound going on. Unfortunately for them, Cheap Trick still sound brilliant and produce quality albums and going by this, they don't
  9. A really good album this one. Gets better and better with each listen
  10. 11. 3rd album in and another good one. One of the better bands doing this stuff atm
  12. Arena - The Theory Of Molecular Inheritance (Earbook) 2 CD Pale Waves - Unwanted (Signed) How We Live - Dry Land (Remaster) Billy Idol - The Cage EP. Saraya - When The Blackbird Sings (Remaster)
  13. The first album was a major let down for me, so I will tread with trepidation with this one.
  14. It's quite a good album and his voice doesn't sound too bad. I will say there are some 'strange' keyboards sounds on here that I don't think fit with the typical bombastic HOL sound..obviously Mark Mangold's influence there, but they do sound a little odd to my ears in places
  15. I got their first 2 albums and really liked them, especially 'Who Am I'. The new one is really great too. 'Jealousy' is especially good. As mentioned, fairly straightforward musically, but some really great, hooky, choruses. Am waiting for CD the new to arrive, hopefully this week,
  16. Brilliant band and one i've followed since their first album. The new one is really good, not quite their best, Absolution, The 2nd Law and The Resistance edges it, but it's right up there. Got my tickets for the tour next year year...one of the best live bands around
  17. Some great albums, especially 'Silver Side Up', 'Dark Horse' and 'Feed The Machine' and lots of good songs on most of the others...Yep..I like them
  18. Marillion - Holidays In Eden (Deluxe) 4 CD Minus One - Red Black White Danny Wilde - The Boyfriend (Rock Candy) Femme Fatale - S/T...+4 (Rock Candy) Danger Danger - Screw It (Rock Candy) The Midnight - Kids The Midnight - Endless Summer (5 Year Anniversary Edition) Alcatrazz - Live In Japan 1984 2CD/ Bluray Riverside - Wasteland Tour Box 2018-2020 2CD/Bluray/DVD
  19. If you liked the last one you'll love this. It gets better and better with each spin and really has turned out to be one of the best surprises i've heard this year. Strong songs, outstanding playing from all involved and just generally a hell of good album
  20. Anything with Magnus Karlsson's involvement is usually pretty much up to spec, and with the added bonus of these two great vocalists, lifts this well above the average.
  21. A band on the main HH front pages (I Thought they maybe a little too 'Pop' for these pages tbh) but not one I've heard anybody mention on here before. If the 80's is your thing, then this band will take you right back to 1985, with 3 Very good albums of Retro Pop/Rock. It maybe far too sticky sweet for some, but they sure write some ultra catchy hooks with a real feel good factor
  22. 2 very good albums so far. Can they do a third
  23. I actually quite liked the last album and thought it had some really good tracks on it, although far from his best. The new one is better, more consistent with some nice guests featured. Ozzy's auto tuned to death these days, but god bless him, at 73, he's still going and putting out music, some of good quality
  24. A better way of putting it than I did about the opening/closing tracks. Atmospheric that start and finish the album nicely. Pretty typical of some other 'Synthwave' stuff I have heard from Gunship etc. Sweet to my ears
