Or you could've just said that ebay only wants buyers & sellers to use paypal so they can get their cut...the other "excuses" they offer are horseshit. Ebay likes to shout from the mountain top how they are looking out for buyers & sellers, but the bottom line is they are looking out for their own wallets...period.

Sound clips are great, & multiple sound clips (as you have done) is even better. A lot of times when only one sound clip is offered, it's because all the other tracks on a disc are total shit. Also, if you're only going to use one clip, a good "deep" track number, say 7 or 8, speaks volumes as to the quality of the disc overall instead of using the lead track.

Don't know how I forgot this one, but Midnight Oil is incredible. Shame that they broke up...

Yeah, as far as boots go, it's very good quality stuff. I just didn't know the Keel cd was a boot to begin with.

I've had a run in with century-moon myself (Keel - The Final Frontier). Just email the guy & tell him that the cd you got is a bootleg & demand a refund. He offered me a 30% refund if I wanted to keep the disc or a total refund if I sent it back to him. We eventually settled on a 50% refund. Good luck!

Wow...a sincere & humble post...a welcome change to this thread. It would be nice if others (& I include myself in this) could try to do more of the same without the childish name calling. And Dave, how about an update regarding Dirty Rhythm, Heavens' Wish, & Sweet Teaze?

I think maybe he means that since there is such a small percentage of people who are passionate about our kind of music (compared to all the idiots out there who are into country, rap, etc...), you would think that we would be more supportive of each other instead of at each other's throats all the time.

Getting this thing back on topic...I've only heard 2 of Retrospect's releases (Defcon & Manila Thrills), & both are top notch. Everyone who frequents the board should do themselves a favor & pick them up.

The "positive & factual" line would imply that all discussion up to this point about the label has been negative & untrue, which is just not the case. Why not just empty your paypal account & then fund the purchase with a credit card or bank account? That's what I do.

WTF is up with that? I thought that if you were involved in a transaction, ebay would automatically provide you with contact information if needed. I would pursue the damn chargeback on principle!

I thought this seller's name sounded familiar. I bought I copy of Keel - The Final Frontier from him a couple months ago. And I too was skeptical about the disc...it looked alright, but something about the inserts...they looked just a tad "fuzzy", plus they didn't fit the jewel case (a little short, both the front & back). I just contacted him a told him that my copy I received from him was a boot, & that either he could refund my money or I'd file a fraud claim with my credit card company. I'll post any response I get from him.

I read that some japanese promoter offered the band some nice coin if the original line up got back together & did a mini tour over there, but Sabo & Co. shot that idea down. I guess they're happy making shitty Goo Goo Dolls sounding records.
