Questions: Wonder what ebay's policy is if the shill bidder artificially inflates the final price (which doesn't appear to be the case here). Would ebay/paypal initiate a refund to the buyer once all the shill bids had been removed? Answer: And take money out of ebay's & paypal's wallets? Not bloody likely!!!!

I really don't understand why you have to keep making these types of comments. I understand that your business doesn't exactly cater to "collectors", but do you have to keep insulting them at every turn? Of course $800.00 is an insane amount of cash to spend on a cd, but it's all relevent...& I haven't read one post here where anybody is bragging about what they have in their collection. Granted, when someone scores a rare cd, they may share their excitement here, but more often than not the poster is congratulated by the other members here, not reprimanded for "bragging". I thought we were all one, big happy family?

Yeah, me to...phenomenally boring. Given how much most melodic hard rock fans like this, I guess my ears just hear something different. "Wave Goodbye to a Friend" is absolutely awesome, the rest is a bunch of dull, derivative Bon Jovi b-sides. The only reason I would pay more than $25 for it would be so I could turn around and sell it and use the money to buy a whole shitload of CDs actually worth listening to. Ouch!

What's up with all the Kid Wikkid cd's on ebay of late? I bought mine back in May or June, & I swear I've seen at least 4 or 5 copies on ebay since then...

My wife told me this story she saw on the news...local Wal-Mart was supposed to be getting 20 units in but ended up with only 10. The store manager announces this to the crowd of people lined up and says that he's going to set up 10 chairs...whoever makes it to one gets a PS3. Of course, there's a stampede & several people are trampled. I hope someone sues the shit out of Wal-Mart...what a freakin' idiot.

You will almost NEVER win a claim filed with paypal for receiving an item "not as described"...I learned that long ago when I won a couple cd's that turned out to be CDR's. Always file "item not received"...at least that way, the seller might be more likely to offer you a partial refund, because the seller stands a good chance of losing the dispute & having paypal totally refund your payment.

I've bought from both & I'll take it one step furthur...they are 2 of the best sellers on ebay, period. The quality of their product is always top notch. No surprises from these guys. It's a pleasure doing business with both of 'em (and Tony, Dave...you can pay me later).

Motherfucker of a poll...easier to pick your favorite child than a favorite song from this one. I'm with Fat Freddy on this one...I always liked the deeper cuts, with my faves being "Die Hard The Hunter", "Comin' Under Fire", Action Not Words" & "Billy's Got A Gun"...I guess I'd have to go with "Action Not Words", but damn, the entire album smokes!

Well, I have to vehemently disagree with this one. Your logic seems almost backwards. I have a few very hard to find indie's (Rock Boulevard, Friction, White Eagle, etc) on CDR. I picked them up because I'm a FAN of the music, but I don't consider any of them part of my collection. In most instances, I've gotten a CDR of a band that I've heard people rave about to see if they were actually any good. If I liked that particular band & if I had the coin to lay out for it, I'd pick up an original. I don't think that makes me more of a "collector" than someone who has a CDR of the same title, but it doesn't make me "dumb" either. Anal, maybe...

Well, to start with, the majority of us here have waited until we had more than 4 posts to start mouthing off. Some of your suggestions were constructive, but the one regarding silver pressing his ENTIRE catalog is idiotic. I'm sure Sam would love to silver press all his discs if you would be willing to put up the money it required. As he has stated time & time again, the costs just make that unrealistic. If you have in fact been checking out the board for a while, this shouldn't come as news to you. However, I totally agree with your statement about real collectors seeking out originals instead of CDR's when available.

Just wanted to add that I recently picked up copies of Manilla Thrills & the first Mariah cd & both are excellent. Sam did a really good job with these all the way around...packaging, artwork, silver pressed...my only complaint (& it's not really a complaint, just my opinion) is that maybe a different song should have been the lead track on the Manilla Thrills cd...the first track is one of the weaker ones...the songs get better & better as you go! Can't wait to pick up the new Defcon

I totally agree...Dave, you need to knock off the "back handed" compliments of yours towards Sam...it's making you & your company look very bad...not to mention desperate. As far as I'm concerned, Sam/80's has done a complete about face regarding his posting here & has become a welcome member of the community.

That's actually a very good idea...problem being is this...I would find it very hard to believe that ebay doesn't already have this system of checks & balances in place. They just don't really care...for ebay to start suspending people in this way would mean they were cutting off a potential source of income, & we all know that that will NEVER happen. Ebay's bottom line has always been how many of our dollar's make their way into their pocket...period. I just wonder what kind of kick-back ebay is working out with the PO regarding their recent posting regarding enforcement of properly filling out customs forms
