  1. Got mine today....man, this is one NICE re-issue...first class all the way. Trust me, T-Bone, it's worth the wait!
  2. Ordered mine as well...15 bucks...now this is the proper way to do a re-issue. Kudos to Ken & all involved for making this happen!
  3. Mike, I haven't gotten mine yet...of course I haven't ordered it yet either
  4. He meerly pointed out that his Alyze cd was an original & not the Retrospect re-issue. What's wrong with that? Sounds like you're just looking for something to gripe about!
  5. With all the heated discussion over the Friction - Baby Talk boot...er, I mean "reissue" in this forum, I thought maybe switching gears & talking about a legit album on the horizon would be a good change of pace. Sorry if it doesn't belong here, but at the time I thought this is where it needed to be posted.
  6. Just curious...how do you have a paypal account & not have a credit card on file? I would think that paypal would jump all over this & threaten to suspend your account. Don't get me wrong, I loathe paypal myself & love it that your funds are protected against charge backs. I'd just like to know how you did it.
  7. Just read this over at melodicrock.com...this should certainly put everyone at ease regarding the upcoming releases in case anyone was having any doubts... "GREGG FULERSON TALKS BLUE TEARS - OLD, LIVE AND NEW: Blue Tears frontman Gregg Fulkerson posted a new message on this site's message board - I thought it a good idea to share that with you here and should you wish to send Gregg a message, feel free to log onto the Noticeboard to do so. Gregg says: "Hello friends....I just wanted to say that we are looking forward to playing in Europe in November...at Firefest no less!!! Big thanks go out for all the kind words about us since it was announced we were playing...I'm surprised that so many of you seem to remember us...much less being worthy to play at Firefest... I'm also really excited about seeing the other bands...and meeting them of course. Just come ready to ROCK! We are putting together the setlist right now...beginning rehearsals in a couple of weeks.....Please let me know what songs you'd like to hear!! I'm open to suggestions... As you know, we are in the process of making a brand new Blue Tears album and it's pure melodic rock...the true spirit of blue tears from the beginning....we will be playing songs from the first album, of course....songs from the new album....and we are talking about doing several songs from the new release, Mad, Bad and Dangerous on Suncity Records.....maybe Rock You To Heaven...maybe A Date With Destiny....I don't know...tell me what you are interested in...if you are interested!" The new album of previously unreleased material Mad Bad & Dangerous is due for release on Suncity Records very shortly. The CDs are currently at the pressing plant and it can be pre-ordered at: www.suncityrecords.com. Full CD Showcase preview and new Gregg Fulkerson interview coming up shortly." Straight from the horses mouth, as it where...
  8. By the way...is Peter Garrett (formerly of Midnight Oil) still involved in politics over there? I heard he won some sort of election a couple years ago. Man, I was sorry that band broke up...absolutly LOVED them.
  9. Yikes...didn't expect to get called on that one. My first instinct is to say Melbourne, but I don't think that's right...too obvious. It's been WAY too long since I studied geography. Something like Caberra? Hell I don't know. I retract my former statement...I guess I'm one of those ignorant Americans after all!
  10. I especially take umbrage to that statement...I'm American & I'm a freakin' genius
  11. On a lighter note...with all the talk over the upcoming releases from Retrospect & Sun City, I was just wondering if anybody else was as excited as I am about the new Bon Jovi single "Have A Nice Day". If that song is any indication, we're in for one mighty fine release from the Jersey boys! For those who haven't heard it yet, follow this link... http://www.islandrecords.com/www2/ecard/bo...eday/index.html
  12. Reading those words carefully, does this mean that there is a possibility of a 'second' pressing of re-issues that will not be limited? cheers, Lindsay <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My thoughts exactly...if the first pressing is in fact limited to 100 copies & that sells out, I would say it's a safe bet that Sam will do a second pressing...that I WOULD take to the bank!
  13. "Where are the people at when bands are selling their cds directly for big bucks when they have a ton of copies?? I didn't hear anyone bitching at Mark David from Concrete Jungle when he sold his own cds for $120 a piece. Or his CDR EP for $40. I don't hear anyone bitch when the guy from Mistress sells his cds on eBay for big bucks....or Sweet Teaze or the guy from Deja Vu who sold his for $100 a pop. I don't hear you smelling rats in those instances...." Well obviously, this isn't at all the same as what Sam is doing since he's selling brand new re-issues, not original deadstock cd's that have been collecting dust in someone's garage for the past 15 years. And I hate to say it, but as far as the Friction cd being pressed in quantaties of 100...I wouldn't exactly take that to the bank. A dutch auction is a super idea, & would go a long way towards Sam not only backing up his previous statements about getting music into the fan's hands, but also repairing his image in the community here at HH.
  14. I emailed Ken last night about the re-release, & he told me that it will have 3 new tracks, not 2. Also, he's working on a website to promote the cd & have it available to all for a reasonable price...site should be up in a couple weeks.
  15. I'd just like to understand the logic behind the dumb asses who are bidding over 50 bucks on a 2005 re-issue. It boggles the mind...
  16. So is Retrospect Records Sam's label...just wondering about his level of involvment.
  17. More likely the guy is a "shill bidder" (I think that's what it's called) bumping the price up so the seller can offer the cd to the next highest bidder when the winning bidder "doesn't pay"...happens all the time.
  18. Granted to each their own, but to me there isn't a cd in the world worth that kind of money......Some people have more money than they have sense.....Just my opinion of course.... Later Lon <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No doubt...I checked what cd's this guy had bid on & this kinda jumped out... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=4720774253 12 bucks all day long over at tuffcds.com
  19. Look who bid up to $514, I bet this CD could have made great source for next SG Records release <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  20. $577.00!? Sheesh...suddenly my cdr sounds REAL good. Yeah, it's a kick ass indie, but in my opinion, no cd is worth that much.
  21. ...I think we should all just send him an email saying his prices are unjustified ...
  22. Not to open up a can of worms here, but what IS the deal with the mail service from Canada? Anything I've ever bought that has had to cross that damn border up there seems to always take at least 2 weeks to arrive. On the other hand, stuff from Japan, UK, & almost anywhere else will get here in 5-7 days, tops.
  23. Geez, Delbert, do you work for paypal or something...lol. I had to close my paypal account because even though my bank refunded my money (they refused to fund paypal's withdrawel), paypal debited my account AGAIN when my bank did the reversal. I had to file a second claim with my bank & then lock my accounts against any electronic withdrawels made by paypal. Paypal didn't like that one bit & sent me a nasty email...I told them that it was unfortunate for them that they insisted on trying to fund a fraudulent transaction, because my bank wouldn't allow it. If paypal wants there money back so badly, they can go after purrfect-kat, er, I mean sspert!
  24. For those people who were burned on this one, check this out (especially if paypal ended up bending you over as well)... http://www.paypalsucks.com I've closed my paypal account...I would advise those who are pissed off with them to do the same.
