  2. They have a lot of new and semi-new release CDs for 8-9 GBP. Definitely worth checking out. If you are an Aussie and like your movies make sure you check out the blu rays. I grabbed the Lord of the Rings Extended Edition blu ray box set for the missus and after VAT was removed it was GBP 35 + free shipping. Compare that to AUD $120 at JB HiFi. Have been putting an order in every month for the last 6 months. The Ozzy re-releases are cheap, as are the Helloween deluxe editions, JettBlack and so on. Lots to find and just make sure it has the Free Saver shipping tag on it (most do). Remasters, deluxe editions etc. of CDs are especially cheap and go for GBP 2-5 eg. Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin. Good hunting.
  3. For anyone wanting to pick up Spilt Milk or Bellybutton or has had difficulty finding them a Japanese reduced price (US $22) reissues are out on October 26th. Not sure if there is a Western reissue or not.
  4. Not sure if there are any fans of Animetal here, worth checking out if you are open minded, dig Japanese metal, anime and so on. Guitars are always killer. Here is the press release of their new album, turns out it is now taken over by some pretty talented western musicians. In the past they always added some very cool tributes to some of the best metal and hard rock songs within the structure of another song. Animetal was a Japanese heavy metal band who specialized in metal covers of popular Japanese anime/tokusatsu theme songs. Animetal USA, an American counterpart of Animetal, will release their first album "Animetal USA" from Sony Music Japan in Japan on October 12. They are planning a world tour next year, including Japan and the US. Animetal Japan was originally formed by a famed metal vocalist Eizo Sakamoto (Anthem) in 1996. They had released 11 metal cover albums and had sold more than 600,000 copies till 2006 when they went on hiatus. The newly formed Animetal USA' s members are all experienced heavy metal musicians. Vocal: Mike Vescera (Loudness, Yngwie Malmsteen Band) Guitar: Chris Impellitteri (Impellitteri) Bass: Rudy Sarzo (Ozzy Osbourne Band, Whitesnake, Dio) Drums: Scott Travis (Racer X, Judas Priest) They play 11 metal cover songs in the first album and sing some parts in original Japanese and some in English. The songs include the theme songs from classic anime series such as; "Space Battleship Yamato" "Science Ninja Team Gatchaman" "Kyojin no Hoshi" "Tiger Mask" "Mazinger Z" "Dragon Ball" "Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star)" "Kinnikuman"
  5. Wow, such sad news. Sargant Fury kicked ass. Wasn't much of a fan of his Threshold albums but I lost interest after Damien Wilson left. RIP
  6. Just ordered this one. Thanks for the tip
  7. Can't wait. Their debut is one of only a couple of CDs that my 2.5yr old loves along with Age Sten Nilsen - Glamunition I guess I have to buy it for him then
  8. Thanks for the link, the song is OK. Funny that they are releasing a power ballad first up that is quite tame lyrically compared to the first album (unless it's a clean version?). Smells like sell-out to me I'll be grabbing the CD when it comes out!
  9. Awesome, where did you grab it from? Ebay, mate, from a guy in Sweden. I've been looking for it for years. Awesome album, been looking to replace my CDR for ages as well. I actually gave up a while back but this will spur me on for another year or so Thanks
  10. Well spotted..... hope I'm wrong but this looks like they are trying to cash in?!? Hope it's not a CDR again.
  11. This thread is really unfortunate and made me jump onto the website for another look. http://www.kingsofthesunband.com/?page_id=18 The CD is now $24.95 + $3.50 shipping in Aus or $6.50 International shipping. At least they fixed the shipping rates. Given the CDR point noted in this thread it makes me really sad that they are releasing a new Rich & Famous CD which has the entire KOTS - Resurrection album on it. Not sure if this makes it a 2CD set or not but I would ask lots of questions before buying. I hope they do the right thing here as that 3rd album kicks ass and is very hard to find these days.
  12. If he's prepared to pay what's the problem (remembering to add a service fee)? I guess after 16 years of trading online I have seen more than a few hardcore requests.
  13. For the non-US guys here on the board you can grab this for US $10 + $4.50 via ebay. Must be someone to do with the band coz if you visit the site clicking you on international orders takes you to the ebay site: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/RUBICON-CROSS-LIMITED-EDITION-EP-/330596647227?pt=Music_CDs&hash=item4cf918813b
  14. Oh yeah, this is right up my alley and should kill some hours until the new season of Game of Thrones!
  15. Unfortunately this is happening just way too often. Seems anybody these days can silver press a few hundred CDs and booklets and try to make some money. Good for you for spotting it and opening a dispute. You're right about him re-listing another as he obviously tried to pull one over you. Funny thing is I have no problem with people or auctions labelling a CD as a private press or a bootleg, even though I wouldn't buy one. I would actually look at their items knowing they were honest and gave a crap about the people looking to buy the CD.
  16. Sorry to hear it but at least some good news that your wife is OK. Here in Australia a car as new as that would be replaced by the insurance company if they couldn't fix it (whichever is cheaper). Wonder why it is so different over there? Best of luck with it all and all the best!
  17. Thanks Mullethead and Geoff for the heads up regarding the demos. I managed to find an active torrent but have yet to hear it. Nightrain, there are only 2 songs on the CD that are older songs... Cindy from the demos (which has never been released) and that one track from the Delany CD. The other 9 tracks on the 1st CD look to be new. Obviously the All Those Strangers bonus CD came out a year or two ago and was originally shelved by Island after No Respect.
  18. Hey Geoff, where did you hear "Cindy"? It looks like Distance of Love is the only old track that I know of. That Delany CD is pretty good! Obviously if you have Move On It and Fade you have most of the tracks from All Those Strangers.... feels a little like D2's Cockroach. Still, for only a couple of extra bucks then the norm Japanese release for 2 CDs it is actually pretty good value (Aus $17 a CD). Let's hope the new stuff kicks ass.
  19. Save your pennies for this one folks, not sure what the new material is going to be like but given the song titles below I am pretty excited. Also, for those of you who haven't picked up the All Those Strangers release the Japanese pressing comes with it and a bonus track as well at a pretty decent price given All Those Strangers is a full price CD. Here's the track listing and link: 1. [Disc 1] Solid Gold 2. [Disc 1] Worship You 3. [Disc 1] Treasure Girl 4. [Disc 1] Enough Rope 5. [Disc 1] Vain 6. [Disc 1] Straight Kitten 7. [Disc 1] Triple X 8. [Disc 1] Hot Stage Lights 9. [Disc 1] Greener 10. [Disc 1] Distance Of Love 11. [Disc 1] Cindy (日本盤のみのボーナス・トラック) 12. [Disc 2] Love Drug 13. [Disc 2] Planet's Turning 14. [Disc 2] Shooting Star 15. [Disc 2] Too Bad 16. [Disc 2] Far Away 17. [Disc 2] Wake Up 18. [Disc 2] Freak Flag 19. [Disc 2] Here Comes Lonely 20. [Disc 2] Shouldn't Cry 21. [Disc 2] Do You Sleep With Strangers? http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=IUCP-16115 Anyone got any news on this one besides the delays?
  20. If it's like their first EP I'll be all over it.... unfortunately they got worse as they went along IMO.
  21. I like the Popoff review books, obviously it's not easy reading material as it's just tens of thousands of reviews but the guy is funny and has a knack for ripping into something. It does cover many metal music styles tho so if you're only into hard rock you might find yourself turning a few pages between reviews. The 1980s book is the best one so far IMO just because of the huge time in metal that it was!
  22. Backstreet definitely... Dirty Love and Loved Walked In (one the best ballads ever) are worth the purchase alone. Laughing is also good, if it was shorter (too long and a few fillers) it would have been just as good!
  23. Painted Desert Serenade is one of the greatest albums of all time, that's why there's so many vids from that release Agreed Deliah Blue has lots of fillers but a few good tracks in the mix. Did anyone ever hear his later albums?
  24. PLayed these the other day, they sound great.... no need for the reissues unless it's cheaper and has bonus goodies!
