  1. Awesome CD. I also loved the first few Dream Evil CDs. Never heard the Nightrage CD, what's it like?
  2. Great album, a real shame there was no follow up back in the day!
  3. Welcome from an envious Aussie. I wished I lived in Sweden especially on Fri and Sat nights.... too many great hard rock and metal bands... you guys need to share them around som more
  4. I am pretty sure they don't have a lot of stuff coz they source companies with extra stock to get rid of cheaply. That said I picked up a few CDs, some for trades... all were between $7-10 eg. Whitesnake - 1987 Deluxe JSS - Beautiful Mess Jorn - Dukebox Gotthard - Need to Believe Gotthard - Live Lugano Kiske/Somerville Hartmann - 3 Just hope they aren't south american pressings. Most have AFM or Nuclear Blast listed as the label and not Icarus etc.
  5. LOL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6-fG2MJHuI&feature=related
  6. Does he think it's 1989? What's with the self-importance? Is he actually worth anything to a major label anymore? What doesn't make sense to me (legitimacy of Rock n Roll Hall of Fame aside) is that he hints that the 'real/current' line up is the one that should be inducted. Maybe they should for releasing on the biggest flops and slap of a face of an album to the fans after such a long wait and backing it up with gigs that are either cut short, canceled or so badly performed that they should be adding 'Stonehenge' to the setlist.
  7. I'd be interested to know what pressings the CDs you ordered are when they arrive. Last time I ordered from them I got an Argentinian press, Brazilian press and Thai press. Have pretty much stopped using them as a result.
  8. Agree with Geoff here. The band IMO needs to write less songs and polish what they have, no need to rush CDs out. Where's Kalodner when you need him? Maybe bring in the dude from Treat to help write the songs
  9. When it comes to JSS I don't think he has topped Eyes - S/T or Kuni - Lookin' For Action IMO. I think he's an awesome singer but for me personally needs someone more focused writing the songs. His solo albums are like a pizza with the lot, he tries to cover all bases which is well and good and obviously an expression of him and what he's into but I just wish he'd lock himself in a room and listen to 80s hard rock non-stop and then record a Margherita.
  10. What about: Gunners - Use Your Illusions Badlands - Voodoo Highway Kuni - Masque Falconer - Chapters From A Vale Forlorn Hurricane - Slave To The Thrill WASP - The Last Command Agree with Spread Eagle & Buletboys but that said all of the sophmore albums I love, they were just a letdown after being blown away by the debut, time helps to heal the wound. Masquerade is the one listed here where I reall hate the follow up - loved the debut but what a steam pile the folow up is.
  11. Not sure why you don't like Still Not Black Enough then. For all intents and purposes it it the Crimson Idol except for the Rock Opera/Lyrics. Compositions, style, band etc. are very, very similar to Crimson Idol.
  12. It's not a bad song but this band is not very good. After owning all of their CDs I find I can't listen to them. Songs just arent good enough.
  13. Great band and can't eait for this one. Unfortunately I think they'll always suffer, like most bands who release an awesome debut of never living up to it again. Like most I was a little disappointed by the last album but find it to be the biggest grower of the first 3CDs.... love it now.
  14. I keep watching hte show but I don't know why, am always letdown but on the flipside I am hooked ont he graphic novel (the only graphic novel I read). I wish they would follow it more closely. The novel is a drama but the action keeps coming unlike the TV show. Maybe action and zombie makeup/extras cost too much?
  15. Not usually my cup of tea but this is one cool and catchy song! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPNqub966Tw
  16. This is cool, thanks for the heads up!
  17. I guess these lists are always gonna bring some debate but I can't believe Vain's Enough Rope only got one mention as an also ran, no honourable mention, and not in a top 10. Did the rant have anything to do with the opinions of this cd? This CD is in my top 5 of the year. Love it!
  18. I love both of their albums. Some killer riffs. Silly lyrics - yes, but who cares when the music is this good!
  19. I love the CD but then again around the mid 90s is when I stopped buying CDs coz there was so much rubbish around. This is probably why you are not digging this CD. Music is a time and place thing. I started buying and listening to music in the mid 80s - Whitesnake, Savatage, Bon Jovi, WASP etc. shaped my listening preferences and I am sure if I listened to music 5 years earlier it would have been Journey, Styx etc. I can't imagine what you would like if you were buying rock and metal CDs in the mid 90s... it was too ecelectic, cheap and confusing a time for rock music IMO.
  20. I would love them to release more concerts, but those back in the day. Would love to have a killer gig for each of their albums/tours in the 80s. Same goes with most of the 80s bands... I don't want Wacken footage from the last decade, give me footage, be it 4:3 and stereo from back in the day.
  21. The song is OK, nothing more IMO and definitely not worthy of a single. Are Van Halen relevant in 2012?
