  1. Ditto. After hearing the title track and thinking it was pretty good I was going to pick this up. But after finding out about it being mostly covers I won't bother. He needs to get to work with the Crue and put another CD with the same quality as SOLA.
  2. I did a search here and didn't find anything so I thought I would share this bit of entertainment. Give this video a little time and watch the drummer. These guys are a show band. I'm sure someone on this board has seen these guys live somewhere and could share their thoughts... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WO7xWMi0lR8&feature=player_embedded#

    Hey guys

    "What the duece?!" Welcome!
  4. Yeah and above I saw mention of Hardcore Superstar - stoked about that, love their last 3 releases! I saw that above too but I was skeptical that it would actually be released in 2010. I hope it is released this year because for sure the last 3 releases were great.
  5. Add that Dirty Looks cd in July, depending on how "heavy" it is.
  6. I have the Thickskin release as well. Good cd, but I didn't care for the I Remember You Too...leave well enough alone I say.
  7. Jeff do yourself a favor and come see them live at DRF this year. Coming to DRF is looking like a game time decision. The last few weeks have been brutal on the bank account...$570 to replace leaking sections of pipe in the well, $170 to replace snapped spring on the garage door, $180 to have Orkin come out and eliminate black winged ants (turned out they were not carpenter ants thankfully) that had started to move in the corner of the house. Oh shit sorry to hear about your troubles but I sure hope you can find a way to make it. The more HHers there the better. I know we have myself, Pete, Rick, Chad and hopefully Dave/LV Kix will be there as well. Besides my wife had a heart attack and almost died in March and she's gonna be there(I'm doing my best to make you feel guilty ) so hopefully you can find a way to make it. Oh wow Wes, I had no idea your wife had a heart attack. Kudo's to her for being strong and making it through that! Here's to her full recovery and maybe I will get down to meet her in July!

Jeff - This is what I get Oops! Firefox could not find www.heavyharmonies.com Try reloading: www.heavyharmonies.com Additional suggestions: * Access a cached copy of www.heavyharmonies.com * Search on Google: Instead of using the heavyharmonies name, try using the IP address like this in your web browser: http://69.73.161.15/ Let me know if that works. And as if by magic.... That works Jeff - bloomin' marvellous. . I've bookmarked the page and renamed it HH and all works. Any ideas of the cause of this all of a sudden Thanx a million mate Hard to say exactly WHY it happened, there could be a few reasons, but it is not uncommon for DNS cache to get an incorrect entry. When you said you could go to all other websites with both IE and Firefox and only having issues with the HH main pages then it tells me it could have been a bad entry (wrong IP address) for www.heavyharmonies.com in your DNS cache. So what you are doing now is bypassing DNS and using the IP address directly. Ideally we would like you to be able to use the www.heavyharmonies.com because say for example Dan decided to move the HH to a different service provider. HH would get a new IP address and your shortcut that you just saved would no longer work (however all you would need to do is modify the shortcut to the new IP...but that is a manual process and automatic processes are better). You might want to consider doing a "DNS flush". Here is a link that describes how to do it. It is an easy and non harmful. It just clears your cache and then when you visit websites Windows will rebuild the DNS cache. Basically you go to a command prompt and type: ipconfig /flushdns http://www.topbits.com/how-to-flush-dns.html All that said you can just leave things as is and it's not a big deal to do it the way you are. Way more info than you wanted huh?

Jez, what is the error message the IE delivers? Page Cannot Be Displayed? or DNS Error?
  11. They probably recorded "Then She Kissed Me" because they finally ran out of sexually related themes to sing about. It's sorta like those people who have reached the End of the Internet.
  12. Jeff do yourself a favor and come see them live at DRF this year. Coming to DRF is looking like a game time decision. 13. I really liked Mercy while Psycho Magnet just didn't do it for me. I have yet to pick up Anger Management and this thread reminded me to do that. I'll have to see what everyone else says about Love You To Death.
  14. I'm not sure I like the idea of it being the "heaviest Dirty Looks album to date" but we'll see. I'll have to hear some decent samples first. ------------- The heaviest Dirty Looks album to date, I.C.U., will be released in the middle of July on FnA Records. This album was recorded at the Carriage House (Pantera, Overkill) and showcases some of the band's best work to date. The first printing of the album will come in a high gloss digi-pak version with Metallic gold print. Customers who purchase this album directly from FnA Records at www.FnARecords.net, and mention that they saw this ad on DirtyLooksmusic.com and DirtyLooksEurope.com will receive a FREE limited edition guitar pick. Just mention it in the comments section of your order in the checkout section. Pre-orders will be available in early July. Also, look for a special fan package where you can buy the new Dirty Looks album, I.C.U., and the two remastered Rumbledog albums for a discounted price. Dirty Looks will have an OFFICIAL album release party on July 24th in Nashville, TN. Watch www.FnARecords.net for details. Courtesy of www.sleazeroxx.com and DirtyLooksEurope.com
  15. Did the pop ups confirm any of the "theories" or give any more insight or answers?
  16. Maybe the Pretty Maids, but I don't think for Dan it would be the Crashdiet or the Crazy Lixx. I think it will be something a little less discussed on the board...but I don't have a guess to what it is. Actually Dan just started a thread about a song on the new Crazy Lixx so he has been listening to that one. Of course it could be some symphonic metal band from Europe with a female vocalist since I believe he likes those quite a bit. Delain or Murder My Sweet? But I think those came out in 2009. True, he did post that sample song by them. Yep, Delain did come out in '09 (great cd by the way).

  18. 2 listens through this morning and I like it....good stuff, good find Lindsay. 6 songs on a CDR for order: http://www.diehard.com.br/lojaweb/detalhes.asp?codprod=22654
  19. I didn't care for the last release at all. I didn't even find it average. So I really hope they get back to what they do best. But, if "All Night Long" is going to be the best song off the new cd then I won't be rushing out to buy it right away. It is an ok song but it has not caught on with me like I thought it might. Let's face it, after the great start to 2010, any release is gonna get compared to what we have listened to so far...so it better be really good.
  20. A Bon Jovi Tattoo..? I wonder what a Bon Jovi tattoo would look like? Well, "Have A Nice Day" Izzy...birthday that is.
  21. Overall, I still have to give this more thought but I generally liked it. It seems to be a fitting end to a great show. I think if they gave all the "nuts and bolts" answers then they run the risk of not leaving the viewers any room to imagine, interpret and make up there own theories. However, I would have liked to have a little more guidance on creating my theory so yes, a few more "nuts and bolts" answers would have been nice. No matter what your opinion on the ending is, anyone who was looking at Kate in that black dress and not thinking nasty thoughts...well you weren't watching what I was watching. Yummy.
  22. Crazy Lixx is a very very good release, but I have to put Generation Wild slightly ahead of it. They are a great 1 - 2 punch in the MP3 player for sure!
