One Desire - new song from forthcoming album
Captain Howdy replied to Stefan's topic in AOR and Hard Rock
This blurb from the Frontiers FB page does not seem to indicate that a new studio album is coming any time soon: This is a new song the band decided to record and release ahead of a very special performance they have this Saturday, June 18th. Read all about said performance below, which will be filmed/recorded and released on audio & video at a later date. And YES, the band is working on more new music for a new album too! "Friends around the world we are very happy to tell you about something VERY cool that we have been working on for quite some time now. We are now today finally ready to reveal this exciting news that on June 18th you will have a once in a lifetime opportunity to see, hear, and experience One Desire like never before playing a unique live stadium set together with a symphony orchestra. Yes indeed, the project is called One Desire Philharmonic Rock Orchestra and it is a custom made concept for this evening only. It is a huge collaboration between 50+ musicians, technicians, crew, arrangers, etc. Together we will perform songs from One Desire on this spectacular evening at Kvarkenfest Vaasa Elisa Stadium together with a 30+ piece orchestra featuring musicians from Wasa Sinfonietta. The show will be backed up by a full blown light and pyro show and more. On top of all this we are filming this whole spectacle for a Blu-ray video that will be mixed in Dolby Surround. So if you guys wanna be in our next live video come out to Finland, Vasa Elisa Sium on June 18th. We promise it will be something you will remember for a long time!" -

Cassidy Paris (Australian female fronted band)
Captain Howdy replied to Captain Howdy's topic in Music Videos
Think she is currently supporting Wicked Smile on tour. Looking at her YouTube she started out doing pop music, so at least she turned to the right side of music in the end. -

Saints of Sin - Welcome to the Circus
Captain Howdy replied to grissolm's topic in AOR and Hard Rock
And just as I buy both their albums, this happens -
Well as if he wasn't already doing enough, looks like a 3rd album from this collaboration is on the way I start tracking vocals soon for the new Sweet & Lynch album. I’m blessed and humbled to be able to work with some of the greats I’m also blessed to still be doing what I love to do - Rock

Waited til I could find this cheap enough as I liked what I heard but not enough to pay full price. Finally got it a couple of days ago and the song Heroin is an absolute monster track. Cannot stop replaying it -

Revolver: 5 Heaviest Hair Metal Songs
Captain Howdy replied to auslander's topic in AOR and Hard Rock
So many hair metal songs heavier than some on this list. As much as I like the heavier tone of JYD by Winger, other hair metal bands like WASP, Guns N Roses and even Tigertailz have songs that are just as heavy or heavier. Hell, Twisted Sisters debut album has so little in common with their later output that they were closer to a band like Motorhead than they were Bon Jovi or Warrant for instance. And talking about Warrant, Inside out is way heavier than most of this list as well. Hair metal wasn't really a sound anyway, it was a combination of different musical genres, and was more about the image than the sound itself. -
Great White..... Malloy out, Freeman In
Captain Howdy replied to T-BONE's topic in AOR and Hard Rock
Another band I have not bothered with for years, and much like the Skid Row guys, they sound like douche bags. The fact that Malloy has been with them for four years and in their words "was easy to write with", yet have never released a studio album in all that time kinda tells you that this was never gonna work. I have no idea who the new guy is, and I have no interest in ever buying anything by them again unless Jack returns, and even then I am not sure I care enough anymore. Only reason I will give the new Skid Row album a go is I am a big Erik fan, but these guys would have to do something really special to reignite my interest in the band. -
I'm not sure there is any need for samples if you heard their last album from 2017. Never bothered buying that one as what I heard gave me very little interest.

I learned she was Welsh well before she ever started her solo career. I stumbled on the band Kane'd a few years before, but never really got into them. It's also why when she said she had an announcement a few days before the single dropped, I asked if she was the new singer in Tigertailz

He is producing, so I would guess he has co-written as well. She recently supported Crazy Lixx on their UK tour, so would think this might be a long term partnership.
