Just watched the video on YouTube and while the song itself is ok, just not really what floats my boat, the video is terrible. They are trying as hard to be as earnest and caring as possible, but just comes across as tacky. Especially with the spelling error in one of the bits of text.

Not gonna lie, but have never been a massive Dokken fan. When they record a killer song they do it brilliantly, but overall they never excited me. They are what I call a "Best of" band. A band that in reality I only need a compilation album. I only own a handful of their albums, but Under lock and key would be my fave followed by Tooth & nail. That said, my fave song by them is on neither of those albums. Dream warriors.

I had already listened to and had singles or albums by the likes of Bon Jovi, Europe, Status Quo, Zodiac Mindwarp, Kiss, Queen, Billy Idol and a few others, but they were all just part of the fact I liked things that were in the pop charts at the time. But the two songs that completely turned me onto the whole glam/hair metal/hard rock scene and later trad metal/thrash/funk rock/etc, were first Every rose has it's thorn and then Paradise city. Went out and bought both albums the same day, and from there stuff like Poison by Alice Cooper, Love in an elevator by Aerosmith all starting to hit the charts I was diving into bands I had never even heard before buying their albums or singles. Wasn't long before I was listening to Warrant, Motley, Ratt, Twisted Sister, LA Guns, Cinderella, EZN, Danger Danger, Lita, Vixen, WASP etc etc etc

Weird thing is 11 years ago he was actually sentenced to 9 months in prison due to £45,000 benefit fraud because he claimed to be disabled but went out touring and got caught. I wonder if this affects his ability to get benefits now? Wouldn't wish this on anyone though.

Personally I would say they were equal in quality, but I am dumbfounded by comments like the album was not as consistant or the songs were too long. This isn't a hair metal band with 3 minute party anthems. I hardly think 5 or 6 minutes is too long. To each their own as far as taste goes, but both their albums have been damn near perfection. And this is coming from someone more into hair metal and glam with their three minute party anthems.
