  2. Never saw this on here before, but just had the video to the first song recommended to me by YouTube and it was an easy follow straight away. Defo doing their own thing, but while I initially heard a bit of an AC/DC vibe in the first song, once the guitar solo kicked in and I heard the second song, defo picking up a classic GNR vibe in both the guitar and vocals. Of course, just my opinion and others may hear differently, but that was enough to have me sold on them.
  3. I agree, for the most part. While I am a fan of a covers album, putting a single cover on an album is the better way to go as quite often it helps you get into a new album if you are unfamiliar with the rest of the songs. Familiarity of a song and seeing a band show their influences is never "lazy". Look at what a classic song Great Whites cover of Once bitten, twice shy or Quiet Riots - Cum on feel the noize, are. A single cover song on an album used to almost be a staple of our genre back in the 80s. You want lazy, the new habit of Japanese bonus tracks being an acoustic or piano version of a song already on the album, its lazy. A live bonus track is lazy.
  4. Latvian hard rockers Bloody Heels have released a brand new single, 'Dream Killers'. The single serves as a preview of the band's upcoming studio album, which will be released this summer via Frontiers Music Srl. 'Dream Killers' offers fans the first glimpse of the massive musical leap the band has taken on their upcoming new album from their last studio album, the well-received "Ignite The Sky". Listen on YouTube HERE: https://youtu.be/Y3LKGPMBvyM or stream/download "Dream Killers" on your preferred music service HERE: https://orcd.co/dreamkillers The upcoming album, their third overall, follows their Frontiers debut, "Ignite The Sky" (2020). The preview single, "Dream Killers" will certainly please fans of the band's previous work, where strains of classic '80s hard rock were mixed with elements of heavy metal (and is still very much the case here), but touches of progressive rock, gothic rock/metal, and more modern rock are now identifiable in the mix, with spectacular results. Stay tuned for more news on the band's upcoming album, which will be revealed in the coming weeks. Formed in 2012 in Riga, Latvia, Bloody Heels made a name for themselves with the EP 'Summer Nights' (2014) and the studio albums 'Through Mystery' (2017) and 'Ignite The Sky' (2020). They’ve played shows all around Europe including Sweden, Finland, Norway, Germany, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, Netherlands, Belgium, and the Baltic States. Line-up: Vicky White - Vocals Harry Rivers - Guitars Gunn Everett - Bass Gus Hawk - Drums https://www.facebook.com/bloodyheelsband/ https://www.instagram.com/bloodyheelsband/
  5. Its classic Corabi. Not a million miles removed sonically from The Scream.
  6. Not quite sure the point of him doing solo material when it sounds very similar to EZN anyway, plus EZN is pretty much his solo project these days anyway. I mean if he wanted to do something that didn't sound like EZN, I think it's better to release that as a solo album, but will never understand people that do solo stuff that sounds the same when they are still with a band.
  7. Great singer but I agree he can be hit or miss. Still not bought the Sunbomb album yet because what I heard grated on me with regards to his vocals, and that's a shame as Tracii rips it up.
  8. I don't wanna get too excited, but going on the last two tracks he has put out, maybe just maybe the next album will deliver. If he included the last single prior to this one on the album, that would not be too upsetting.

  11. Touring is a weird thing, as I live in the UK it's understandable that European bands will tend to make it over here, but when you consider how far away the likes of the US, Japan and Australia etc are, you would think we would not see much of them, but we get a pretty decent amount, from old school bands like Pretty Boy Floyd or Motley Crue (different ends of the spectrum as far as fame goes), to modern bands like Halestorm, Airbourne or Band Maid, yet there are still bands that could do big business if they toured Europe and still won't. Poison for instance (and we all know its down to Wiggy Michaels) would be able to fill some pretty decent sized venues, as they were one of the bigger 80s hair bands worldwide, yet they have not been to the UK (and probably the whole of Europe) since 1993. Even the likes of Winger, Cinderella, Lita Ford, Seb Bach and LA Guns made it over here in recent years, and they think its worthwhile. Consider the amount of festivals in Europe that a band like Poison could play, yet despite the fact that CC, Bobby and Rikki have all said they want to return to Europe, one man stands in their way. As I say though, while I have not been able to go to any gigs the last few years due to pandemics and health issues, I do consider us extremely lucky that we are so relatively close to all the great European countries and especially the Scandi countries. Fingers crossed I will be well enough by May so I can see my first gig in over 3 years and it does not get postponed or cancelled (Crazy Lixx & Chez Kane).
  12. Michael Sweet l8h5mfm1h7uo4nugaed · Heading to LA right now to film 2 music videos for a new band project on Frontiers Music srl called “Iconic”. I co-wrote the album with Joel Hoekstra Alessandro Del Vecchio and Nathan James and if you like Whitesnake “1987”, you’re gonna love this;-) Of course the incomparable Tommy Aldridge is drumming and Marco Mendoza is playing bass. I’m very blessed to be a part of it and to be able to work with the best of the best. When I return, I sing the new Stryper album! It’s sounding absolutely stellar! Our best yet!! I’m very grateful for all that I’m allowed to do and never ever take it for granted
  13. "Yeah, Steel Panther have been doing this for over a decade" ... closer to two decades.
  14. Prefer her own version of the song as Lit is one of those bands that sounds like a million others of their era, with identical vocals. Nice for her to get some more exposure, but really not a fan of this version.
  15. Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to present the debut single, 'Tom And Ms. Amy Lee' from the new international metal group Venus 5! The single serves as a preview for the band's upcoming debut album, which will be released this summer. Venus 5 is composed of five amazing singers hailing from different European territories. In alphabetical order, they are: Herma (also of Sick N' Beautiful, another Frontiers recording artist), Karmen Klinc, Jelena Milovanovic, Tezzi Persson (also of Infinite & Divine, another Frontiers recording artist), and Erina Seitllari. Each vocalist is a unique and outstanding vocal talent, while at the same time representing a killer, unique visual portraying a character created for Venus 5. You will simply have to experience them with your ears and eyes to believe it. Stream/Download 'Tom And Ms. Amy Lee' HERE: https://orcd.co/tamal Born from an idea developed by the always creative Serafino Perugino, Frontiers’ President & Head of A&R, Venus 5 is primed to be one of the most fresh and exciting new musical prospects to emerge from the European metal scene in recent years. The concept for Venus 5 started with the idea of creating a “metal” version of pop projects like Pussycat Dolls and the like. Assembling the vocalists and musicians required a tremendous amount of time and energy as the right talent had to be in place to work together cohesively with great chemistry and to bring musical credibility to the project. The end result is that five outstanding vocal stars in the making have been brought together from different musical environments (and countries) to work together with the vision of creating a monster album that could be unleashed on an unsuspecting public. While comparisons to this being a "metal version" of pop projects might lead one to think that the visual aspect of Venus 5 would take the lead, please make no mistake, the music here is front and center. There was zero interest in making this strictly about appearance, which needed to be secondary to talent. A team effort by producer Aldo Lonobile (Secret Sphere, Timo Tolkki’s Avalon, Sweet Oblivion, etc.) and his team of writers, including Jake E (Cyrha, ex-Amaranthe) who co-produced the vocals, Stefan Helleblad (Within Temptation, who also plays guitars on the album), and Per Aldeheim (Def Leppard, H.E.A.T, Stanfour, etc.) have created an approach to the music which offers a feast of musical goodness. Venus 5 is certainly and highly recommended for all the lovers of the sounds in the current European metal scene, taking influences from, for example, Within Temptation’s latest albums and Amaranthe, but adding addictive, catchy melodies. A unique flavor that only Venus 5 can offer with such an outstanding amount of vocal abilities within the band. Stay tuned for news about the band's debut full-length, which will be released this summer! Line-up: Herma - Vocals Karmen Klinc - Vocals Terese 'Tezzi' Persson - Vocals Jelena Milovanovic - Vocals Erina Seittlari - Vocals Stefan Helleblad - Guitars Aldo Lonobile - Guitars Gabriele Robotti - Guitars Dann Arisi - Bass Alfonso Mocerino - Drums Antonio Agate - Keyboards, Piano, & Electro arrangements Social Media: https://www.facebook.com/Venus5Music https://www.instagram.com/venus5music/
  16. Last Slash album I even remotely enjoyed was his first solo album, and the songs on that I liked the least were the ones with Kennedy (especially the live GNR stuff). I just find his vocals with Slash annoying as he seems to be trying to sing closer to Axl than what he sings like in Alterbridge.
