  1. I go to yard sales almost every Saturday. We have tons of them in our metro area. Of course here (in Arizona) everyone starts really early, so I have to be out the door by about 5:30AM. This past Saturday it was 90 degrees by 8:00AM. It's really hit and miss, but I've found some amazing stuff like rare cds, hair metal demo tapes, promo displays, picture discs, concert shirts, etc.. www.wishingwellonline.com www.facebook.com/Roger.Pamachena
  2. Thanks very much for the info.! I think I'll give it a whirl. I do get some cool cds from SwapaCD, but it's pretty sporadic.
  3. I was wondering if anyone here uses Swaptree (www.swaptree.com) to trade cds? Looks interesting. I don't see where they charge for trades (like SwapaCD) which sounds too good to be true. www.wishingwellonline.com www.facebook.com/Roger.Pamachena
  4. I remember getting their first album for Christmas in 1978 (thanks to my cool brother!). Really dug them up to around 'Panorama'. Fortunately they knew when to call it quits and didn't stick around too long past their prime. The first album and 'Candy-O' are both solid. Maybe a little too "New Wave" for some members on this board, but great for their time. Benjamin Orr's solo album 'The Lace' is really good too. Never really cared too much for Ric Ocasek's solo work. www.wishingwellonline.com www.facebook.com/Roger.Pamachena
  5. Hmmm...I can think of one Pennsylvania resident who kinda fits that M.O.. Or should I say "residents" since he's used more than one name (and location in Pa.) with me (on ebay and when trying to order from our shop). www.wishingwellonline.com www.facebook.com/Roger.Pamachena
  6. What a shame (if it's indeed true this time). I knew that (even if the earlier reports were off base) something bad was still happening. Had the pleasure of seeing him live 8 times, and meeting him once. Great guy and amazing performer. www.wishingwellonline.com www.facebook.com/Roger.Pamachena
  7. Very sad if true. I guess it was announced on Sirius Liquid Metal tonight. Did anyone hear that? Hadn't heard any news about him for a couple months so figured that wasn't a good sign. www.wishingwellonline.com www.facebook.com/Roger.Pamachena
  8. Washington over Montreal in 4 Pittsburgh over Ottawa in 5 Buffalo over Boston in 6 New Jersey over Philadelphia in 5 San Jose over Colorado in 5 Phoenix over Detroit in 6 Vancouver over L.A. in 6 Chicago over Nashville in 5 First White Out here in Phoenix since 2002! Should be a lot of fun. The whole town is stoked. The playoffs for me actually started on Sunday. Had to go find a bar to watch my Flyers just squeak in (should be a short run for them). Funny that I picked a place where the bartender was from Philly. He was totally screaming at the TV. lol www.wishingwellonline.com www.facebook.com/Roger.Pamachena
  9. Nata'le 'self-titled' - Arizona singer/songwriter; like a mix of Venice, Mr Reality, Richard Page and Santana - Ken Mary produces & guests- awesome find for me! Marie Fredriksson (Roxette singer) - 'Het Vind' - one of her early Swedish language albums from the 80's Tony Carey 'Blue Highway' - German pressing on MCA www.wishingwellonline.com www.facebook.com/Roger.Pamachena
  10. Just finished Adriangale 'Re: Program' - Now firing up Eye Eye 'Common Ground'. www.wishingwellonline.com www.facebook.com/Roger.Pamachena
  11. "How good would Steve Breaston be if he was a starter every game?" I think we will find out next season. They will probably trade Anquan Boldin during the off season. Breaston will start with Fitzgerald, and Early Doucet will be the #3 receiver. Q will be good trade bait if Warner retires and they need to go get a top flight QB (I wish they could get Donovan McNabb). Does anyone remember that Chargers/Dolphins playoff game from 1982? That's what this reminded me of. The scary thing about the game is that you might see it again this Saturday. The Saints offense with Drew Brees is super potent, but their defense (especially the secondary) isn't that great. They've managed to hide a lot of their defensive deficiencies up to now. www.wishingwellonline.com www.facebook.com/Roger.Pamachena
  12. OK day cd hunting today. In addition to finding some cool stuff for Wishing Well I manged to snag some goodies for myself... Strutt - Dreams - Haven't seen a cd of this for ages. No booklet, but with all the other cds I have to sell to help pay bills it will be nice to have to keep one! OK MHR/AOR. Ronny Loren - Wanderin' West - Arizona country singer with a healthy AOR influence. Kind of like a twangy Danny Wilde. Kevin Stoller (ex-Icon) is on here so I had to get it to be a completist. Pink Floyd - One Of These Days - Live show from 1971. Silver disc and good sound quality so couldn't pass it up. Not everyday that you can get a Swingin' Pig label boot for 2 bucks. Ramses - Delirio de Desastre - Mexcian thrash metal. Kind of reminds me of Sacred Reich. Not my speed, but decent quality. The booklet is pretty jacked but I may put it on the WW site anyway. I don't know why I don't see more Mexican rock and metal here where I live (Phoenix area). www.wishingwellonline.com www.facebook.com/Roger.Pamachena
  13. We sometimes order wholesale from The End for Wishing Well, and I used to deal with them when I worked at Rockaway Records. Solid company and good prices. The only shipping issues we've had have been when we ordered on Thursdays or Fridays. When we did that our orders didn't go out until Tuesday or Wednesday. Recommended. Mike and NEH are still really great too. www.wishingwellonline.com www.facebook.com/Roger.Pamachena
  14. The singer reminds me a lot of Randy O (Odin, Lost Boys). Wouldn't surprise me if it was one of those b-level Greenworld/Metal Blade/Enigma type bands from the mid 80's. -------------------------------------------- www.wishingwellonline.com www.facebook.com/Roger.Pamachena
  15. We didn't receive our shipment for Wishing Well until Monday morning (Nov. 2nd). All of our customers' orders went out Monday afternoon. Not sure when other stores had them or when Eonian shipped orders from their web site. Both cds are really good. www.wishingwellonline.com
  16. I've been dealing with Mark for years. Always great to do business with and a stellar individual too. www.wishingwellonline.com
  17. Pretty good day of football today (even though my Rams showed once again that they are DEFINITELY the worst team in the league). Argh. It's gonna be a long year. My surprise 2-0 teams so far: Jets & 49ers Surprise 0-2 teams: Titans & Panthers Unfortunately it looks like there will be a Michael Vick sighting on the field soon (unless McNabb's ribs heal real quick). Bitch ass. Loved the highlight of Ocho Cinco doing the Lambeau Leap and the Packers fan flipping off the camera. Money!
  18. The Strike Twice may just be the best of the Eonian bunch so far. It really rocks. Looking forward to checking out the Felony cd.
  19. There was definitely a manufacturing defect with some of the Jungle Blue cds. We had 3 of them returned to us at Wishing Well. I was able to get a replacement batch from Suncity that wasn't defective. Not everyone who ordered one from us originally returned them, so I don't know if it was the full first run that was defective.
  20. THAT man won't make it through the entire season. Did you see him get unloaded on last night? Defensive ends and outside linebackers will be frothing to take his head off. I'll bet the Packers will have a bounty out on him.
  21. Wow, these guys are going through singers like Journey! I was never really interested in Anthrax until Bush joined (I'm a hug Armored Saint fan). I wonder if they'll try to get him back in the band long-term.
  22. I heard the word "fuck' used about 20 times just in the half hour I was at the swap meet yesterday. Gotta love white trash people! However If I knew what "fuck" sounded like in Spanish then that number would probably have been closer to 40...
  23. The nicest "Rock Stars" I ever met were Deborah Harry, Doro Pesch and Danny Vaughn. John Lodge and Justin Hayward from the Moody Blues were surprisingly friendly too. Most unfriendly were Jonathan Cain and Kip Winger.
  24. I always dug 'Hungry Hearts' the most but CKTN is definitely an underrated album. Saw them live in 1985 and they were awesome.
