  1. Not sure how many of you guys are baseball fans, but was last night the best night of baseball or what? I had the remote smoking, going back and forth between the Red Sox/Orioles and The Braves/Phillies games on the two ESPN's, my local FSN game (Diamondbacks/Dodgers - which got interesting at the end) and all the look-ins on MLB Network. Totally crazy how things ended (and how long it took for the games to finish). The Red Sox loss didn't surprise me too much, but that Rays game was unbelievable. The Braves/Phillies game was like watching someone die slowly. That was brutal. You could see it on all the Braves players faces after the Phillies tied it up. All the first round playoff match-ups look to be good series. I don't think any one team will be over-matched (even the Cardinals - they were 6-3 against Philly this year). Even though my Dodgers were out of it a long time ago, it I still get to experience the playoff buzz with the D-Backs. Can't wait until Saturday! www.wishingwellonline.com Np - Trouble Tribe - s/t
  2. Kickstarter is a site where artists, producers, etc. (music, movies, theater, etc.) try to round up donations to fund their projects. I was reading on the Los Angeles Times web site the other day about a movie being shot right now that is being funded almost entirely by donations through Kickstarter. 5. For me it's Rick Sanford from Legs Diamond. His voice shouldn't really match that music, but somehow it works. I guess it's his voice that gives an edge to their sound. Np - Jamie Allen - 'The Storyteller' www.wishingwellonline.com
  6. Hi everyone, We just started an official Facebook page for Wishing Well Entertainment. If you're on Facebook we'd really appreciate it if you'll check out our page and "like" us. We'll be running some special promotions and contests on there in the near future. It will also be the place to get the most up to date information on happenings with us and Cassandra's On The Prowl Music Promotions. www.facebook.com/wishingwellentertainment Thanks for all your support! - Roger & Cassandra Np - Jefferson Starship - 'Winds Of Change' www.wishingwellonline.com
  7. I'm an Arizona State Sun Devils fan, and Dennis Erickson (who won a NCAA title at Miami) is our coach. Since he's been here he's run a really clean program...and we've either stunk or been mediocre. That should tell you everything you need to know. You don't get to be an "elite" program by being a totally clean program. Even with all the crap going on I'm still looking forward to the season. I'm interested to see how things with the new Pac-12 conference will turn out. Np - Art In America - s/t (LP!) www.wishingwellonline.com
  8. That really sucks. I decided awhile ago that I'm not going to sell demo tapes on ebay anymore (because of Chris Sarti). I still can't figure out why he puts so much effort into jacking people around. I know for a fact that he's been on this board, so Chris (or Robert, or whatever your name is) if you're out there...WTF???? Np - Triumph - 'Sport Of Kings' www.wishingwellonline.com
  9. What a freak. Having said that I've had to deal with people like that on a regular basis for over 20 years. If you think it's fun dealing with this guy over the e-mail, imagine the days before the internet! Try talking on the phone with some guy from Israel while he spends fifteen minutes breaking down exactly how he wants his records shipped...and busting into Hebrew (probably swearing) in frustration because you need him to repeat something because of his thick accent. Or the customer from France who just spent over $1000 on Beatles collectibles and now thinks he has the right to tell you ALL the reasons why French people hate Americans. Joy. I like the 3 options you gave him. I would do the same thing. Np - Richard Page - Shelter Me www.wishingwellonline.com
  10. Wow, Ryan's definitely channeling his inner Ian Hunter on those songs. Great stuff! - Set a few aside for us... Np - Big Bad Wolf - self-titled www.wishingwellonline.com
  11. Hi everybody, I want to give you all a heads up about my wife's new venture On The Prowl Promotions. It is a promotion, networking and consulting venture to help artists hook up with labels, producers, fanzines, radio stations, designers, etc.. The basic idea is to create a vibe of support where everyone shares ideas and resources to help keep the indie AOR, Hard Rock and Metal scenes going (and which encourages artists to take charge of all aspects of their careers). This will also be tied in with the Wishing Well web site (and other sites around the world). Cassandra has a lot of great things planned for the future. She just started a You Tube channel featuring some artists and labels who she is working with. Right now there's some cool music videos by The Johnny Engstrom Band, Voodoo Highway, Sorrow's Path and a great unsigned French group called The Hellectrokuters. There's also an unplugged Push UK performance, and a preview of upcoming debut cd from Flamedown (terrific Westcoast AOR from Argentina). I hope you'll check it out. If you subscribe to the On The Prowl channel this weekend (12th-14th) we will e-mail you a coupon code for 15% off (before s&h) your next Wishing Well order. The coupon code will be good for one order, and you have to subscribe before Monday the 15th. You will have to be a registered You Tube member to subscribe. www.youtube.com/user/ontheprowlpromotions Don't forget to also friend Cassandra on Facebook- http://www.facebook.com/people/Cassandra-Pamachena-Wishing-Well/100001504482415 Thanks for your support! - Roger Np - Marc Jordan - 'Talking Through Pictures' www.wishingwellonline.com

  13. Hi everybody, Wishing Well and Danger Avenue are teaming up to help celebrate the release of their new cd 'Long Overdue'. We are giving a away Three Danger Avenue T-Shirts. They are black 100% cotton short sleeve shirts with the full color 'Long Overdue' cover art on the front. Very cool and (especially if you live in the U.S.) definitely not something you will see being worn very much! To enter the contest you need to e-mail us with the names of 4 Swedish artists/bands who are listed on our web site (other than Danger Avenue). When you e-mail please also give us your name, e-mail address, shipping address and shirt size. Send the e-mail to info@wishingwellonline.com with "t-shirt contest" in the subject field. On Friday April 8th we will draw three names for the shirts. We will also throw in a set of Danger Avenue stickers. There is no purchase required, and anyone in the world is eligible. Good luck! The Danger Avenue 'Long Overdue' cd is now available at Wishing Well. www.wishingwellonline.com
  14. Hey everyone, Cassandra has two really cool Push UK acoustic videos up on her Facebook page. Be sure to friend request her while you're at it! If you don't have Facebook page I believe the videos are on You Tube. The songs are 'I Can Fly' and 'Red Light'. Terrific stuff! BTW these are not old versions. They were recorded back in January of this year. Np- Osukaru 'GBG2LA' www.wishingwellonline.com

  16. It was actually one of those Reborn Classics that convinced Dan Wexler to agree to let us put out the Icon 'An Even More Perfect Union' cd back in 1995. We played him the Reborn version and he was pretty upset by how bad it was (not to mention that he wasn't seeing any money from it). NP - .38 Special - 'Strength In Numbers' www.wishingwellonline.com

  18. Hi everyone, As some of you may or may not know we have started a "distribution wing" of our company. We are going to be the U.S. distributor for a number of indie artists and labels. We just recently signed deals with AOR Boulevard Records (label of Push UK) and the band Faithealer to exclusively distribute their products in the U.S.. We have more artists and labels lined up for the near future. Our goals are to make these products easier to find and less expensive for customers in the U.S. and to try to help the Melodic Rock scene grow in the U.S. by trying to get more of these products into physical retailers around the country. We are asking our U.S. friends to suggest any physical stores (independent or chains) that they think may be interested in stocking Modern Melodic Rock, AOR, Hard Rock and Metal cds. If you have a good relationship with a store in your area please ask them to check us out. We are also looking for college, indie and internet radio stations that may be interested in playing the artists we are going to distribute. It's such a big country that everyone has stores and radio stations they know about (but people in other areas may not). You can either PM me here or e-mail me at rpamachena@wishingwellonline.com with any suggestions. Any help and suggestions in these areas is greatly appreciated! FYI we will still continue to operate our three shops (web site, eBay and Amazon) as we have done for going on 15 years. Big thanks to everyone for your continued support! 19. 'Undertow' is exactly what I wanted to hear from them...Modern but super catchy and totally rockin'. It's the first time I've been so wired up about a new album in a LONG time. www.wishingwellonline.com www.facebook.com/Roger.Pamachena
  20. Did he leave you a negative saying that he never received the cd? If he did (and you have proof of delivery) then ebay should give you some relief. It's gotten even worse on there since they stopped sellers from being able to leave negative or neutral feedback for buyers. 21. Hey everybody, I was wondering about everyone on here who has traveled for a concert or some other music experience. There's got to be a few good stories! Here's my top 5: 1. 1983 US Festival (Metal Day of course!) Glen Helen, California - Thanks Dad for letting me borrow the car!!! Eating chili and drinking beer with some Marines from Camp Pendleton and their girlfriends in the dirt parking lot the night before the show was awesome. 2. Rolling Stones, Heart & George Thorogood (Boulder, Colorado 1981) - 16th birthday present from my super cool parents. Thought a family member had died when Dad pulled me out of school. He instead handed me a plane ticket and a packed bag. Hung out and saw show with my brother, cousin Susie and her roommate. 3. Journey Hollywood Walk Of Fame Ceremony and Concert 2005 - Did NOT expect Steve Perry to show up to the ceremony. Way more fans showed up than I was expecting (cops had to close off the street). Stood next to Dan Aykroyd for most of the concert. 4. Seattle/Tacoma 2006 (Paul Stanley solo show, Frank Black unplugged show, Experience Music Project museum and Jimi Hendrix grave site among other things) 5. "A Week Of Queensryche" 1994 (Las Vegas, Phoenix & Tucson; 3 shows in 4 days; backstage meet and greet at the Tucson show) Now Playing: Surgin' - self-titled www.wishingwellonline.com www.facebook.com/Roger.Pamachena
  22. It happens to me a lot with cds from SwapaCD. I'm getting more and more people sending me cds inside the booklets with no other packaging. When we ship Wishing Well orders we always make sure to put the inserts in a plastic bag (or wrap them in plastic wrap) after we wrap the discs in Kleenex. It's something we're always concerned about. www.wishingwellonline.com www.facebook.com/Roger.Pamachena
  23. How about: Avion - Never Let Me Go Ambrosia - How Can You Love Me Windfall - One In A Million B.E. Taylor Group - Take Me To Your Heart New City Rockers - Rev It Up The Ladder - Double Shot Of Love Just my two cents. Very good suggestions by everyone else! www.wishingwellonline.com www.facebook.com/Roger.Pamachena
  24. Well if it's the same David Moors I know he is the guy who runs Suncity Records. Weird because he's always been very good and reliable to deal with (from a business to business standpoint). He's always seemed like a stand-up kind of guy to me, so hopefully it's just a misunderstanding or miscommunication. You definitely deserve to get paid. www.wishingwellonline.com www.facebook.com/Roger.Pamachena
