  1. & 'Your Love Kills Me'..........even more so..esp in the chorus.
  2. wow, im gonna have to listen again on the way home....havent heard that yet?? I'll let you know. I thought stuff like "Final Moment" & "Better Believe It" kinda have the harmonies of the last Harem & Emerald Rain discs? Or am I talking shite?.... No mate you most definitely are not. I am amazed that i havent heard this but now you mention it some of these songs do have HS overtones and in places...esp the verses....I get a Hess vibe as well. Definitely in 'Better Believe It'...kind of 'Overload' territory and even more so in 'Youth Of Yesterday' esp pre chorus and post chorus...definite Hess & HS vibe. & what about the chorus of 'Deeper Darker Side' and then just after the chorus.....im amazed. could be overload or even the last album. Well spotted mate.....and gave me a good excuse to listen to this great album again. Cheers
  3. Holy shit, i missed this thread....just saw the promo over at Melrock and went straight to the Myspace. These songs rule. If this isnt gonna be one of the best mhr of 2009 id be amazed....lets hope they can keep that quality up for the whole album. Sounds well good

  5. Haha... you dazzle me sometimes with your spirirt, mate. If you ask me the combined efforts of this total CD are not as good as 'I'm sorry', but to each their own. That 'Finding the one' is a nice track. I have to ask, though, have you really heard the last two Nickelback discs? I hate "defending" these guys 'cause I'm not that big a fan, but f*ck me, they rock 100% harder on those last 2 discs... well, 4 to be honest, than American Radio. They don't have balls but these guys do? You're insane my good man!!! These guys are so soft and polite I bet some versions of this CD come with a bouquet of flowers and pink ear muffs! It is very safe isn't it, definitely no-risk stuff. Sorry mate, I like a few Nickleback songs but way too many filler for me to bother with much (though their "All the Right Reasons" disc was a pretty good one) - there are hundreds of Modern Rock bands I think are more deserving of success than they are.... I'm Sorry >>>>>country mile and a half>>>>>Finding The One. (youre talking about song No 2 on my 09 list over song about No 50-60 ish or whatever??....nah sorry mate, got to disagree on this one....)
  6. My fuckin mouse has run out of battery. good night.................
  7. I do think there are quite a few songs that sound samey on the second half of this disc, but I also love the vocals and there are two outright killers (ballad "Finding the One" and "Fallin For You") plus barely a filler to be found.... Yeah i need to listen to this one again as its been awhile. What i do remember (and what i wrote above) is that the early tracks...up to say 4 or 5 just go on too long....to the point where they almost become annoying. Some good tracks in the there too, just wished they had cut them 30 seconds (at least) shorter as it spoils my enjoyment somewhat. had another listen to this tonight and have to admit that its pretty solid all the way through.....but never really gets much above solid. 'Fallin For You', 'Sweet Isabel' and 'Finding The One' are definitely the highlights. And just to expand on my comment above tracks 1, 3 and especially 4 are at least 30 seconds too long.....the choruses just goes on and on and on at the end and im afraid that the hooks arent strong enough to stop it annoying the shit out of me. Est track 4 - I skip it it everytime about 30-45 seconds from the end...shame really cos its a pretty decent track. Ho hum. If Im brutally honest with the albums due this year on the modern side I cant see this staying in the top 10.
  8. I really liked their last 2 releases.
  9. Yeah nice one mate....you must thrilled. I'll be next....only 4 days to go.

    Proper Footie 2008/9

I hope so........for your sake mate
  11. cant get it in the UK. Try to get it on Spotify - i bet more people listen there.
  12. again..........just lovin this. Apart from the first song (yuk)..barely a filler in sight.

  14. Im not gonna make a list of the songs, cos A. Im not quite as bored as you ;-) and B Mine wouldnt be a million miles from yours. All I would add is that I rate 'Stronger' a little more highly than you - not bad at all, the opener whilst being solid...i wouldnt describe as awesome....and 'Break Me Now' is a filler. Still a great album whose highlights are excellent in this order Tell Me (top 10 song for me in 09) Wasted Dirty Girl Start Over Cheers
  15. A. not better than a few songs on the debut B. would probably place about 4th or 5th at best on this disc. Personally I hope My Daughtry ups his game for the rest of the disc. Nah, you just haven't heard it properly yet, mate. I may not know your tastes inside out, but I know you cannot and will not be able to deny the strength of that song when it's coming out your speakers at you. You can thank me later. I have heard it and it is a good song....but better than anything on the debut is pushing it a bit. That s all.
  16. 'Brother' will probably feature on the new album....just a snippet...great pretty classic sounding solo. nice
  17. No Love Lost - s/t The Poodles - Clash Of The Elements
  18. yeah she's a hottie. looks like an angel...sings like an angel
  19. It looks awesome - have already pre ordered (with the Harem Scarem E.P). I especially love the sound of the SPIN GALLERY vocalist's tune, killer AOR stuff there... Yeah, I think i'll order that one too Andrew...sounds like a pretty killer set of songs. Cheers

    Nural

Tim - i havent checked but they used to have 'Tension' on their myspace - that song will give you a good feel for the debut...but that is one of the better tracks. Cheers
