no comments?? Listened to this 3 times today and it was like a relentless barage of awesomeness. 2024 has finally begun π
-
see them live, they are immense. My fav is actually Meliora but all the last 3 are equally excellent imo.

I bought 1 CD in 2023, predicting zero for 2024. Never play them anymore π€·

Sebastian Bach New Single... What Do I Got To Lose

opinions are like arseholes eh. as to the new song. It's solid, but would I rush to listen to it again. Prob not. The whole Skid Row merry go round just annoys me. Bach is an egotistical prick living off past glories, and Erik is wasted in that band, churning out renditions of tired old tracks with a bunch of pensioners. It's sad that I'll never see him live again π -
mine, in no order cos I like them all : Vega Creye Midnite City Defiants Story of the Year Degreed Lebrock Eclipse Tempt Nighthawk Hugo's Voyage Overland Modx My fav non HH album was Maneskin. Absolutely love it. Not seen them live but their televised set at Glastonbury was π₯π₯π₯π₯

One of the main issues with this album is Hess screaming over every track. Don't get me wrong I love Hess but for some reason he renders this album almost unlistenable. When they were recording this someone should have reeled him in imo. There are some good songs, but a mixture of downtuning (Always Be There), frantic uncomfortable listening (Rain for your roses) or just average elements (like solo in Shoot The Bullet) just means it fell off my radar and I can't see me returning to it in 2024. Imo the Vega album is miles better π€·

Nice. saw him live about 30 yrs ago. Been a while lol

I love this album. About as close to classic Journey as you'll hear. But the songs stand up in their own right. Million times better than the last Journey album, production is amazing, Hugo sounds great. How Many Times > I'll be around is magnificent, like classic era.

easy Epic & Ladder π

Not feeling this one π As mentioned production is weak (and plain annoying when most other bands nail it even on a shoestring), Strandells vocals are just not me π€·, pretty generic song titles and ideas that you've heard a million times. Sure folk will love it plenty but it's a hard pass for me

it's basically the 5th WoA album with Overland singing. I like it a lot. I hear zero Neal Schon tho π€

Ever wonder what Heavy Harmonies looked like in the early days?

I'm guessing in no order - Vega Creye Midnite City Defiants Story of the Year Degreed Lebrock Eclipse Tempt Nighthawk probably round out a very good top 10. I suspect Overland will destroy all though in a month's time First single is π₯π₯π₯π₯
