  1. You need to do another run on this one Sam; been sold out for a while, and damn near impossible to get for a decent price now.
  2. So, I'm flipping through the channels last night, and run across this show on Discovery Health Channel called "Strange Sex". It was an episode from 2010, and the first 15 minutes featured former Saigon Kick/Skid Row drummer Phil Varone. In a nutshell, he talked about how the sex he'd had with THOUSANDS of partners "never meant anything" and was "very mechanical" and usually lasted "10 minutes or so" and was never fulfilling. It documented his time in sex rehab, and that he had met a nice woman, and was living with her, and that his life had improved since he had kicked his "addiction". Well, I remembered seeing a headline on SleazeRoxx a few weeks back, and sure enough, Phil has now released a XXX tape: http://www.sleazerox...ews/00461.shtml NSFW http://philvaronessecretsexstash.com/ The funny part about this, is his quotes regarding this release, are directly OPPOSITE what he stated on the show I watched last night. "Granted, it's been pretty easy for me to meet many groupies along the way," says Varone, "but I still feel a charge each time with each new girl. It's a very personal, very explicit experience and never gets old," he added. "This was the first time for me with the incredible five girls in the movie and I loved every minute I had with each of them." "I believe everyone should have sex with as many partners as possible, in as many ways as possible," he says, noting that he and his fiance have an open relationship and enjoy sexual encounters with multiple lovers. LMAO.... what's next, Phil Varone... ordained minister? I could care less either way, but c'mon man... pick a story and stick with it....
  3. http://www.halloween...com/latestnews/ Halloween 3D Officially in production! by Halloween on Jun.17, 2011, under Halloween 3 News Trancas International Films, the production company behind the Halloween franchise has officially announced that Halloween 3D is back in production and a release date of October 26th, 2012 has been announced. No official word yet on cast and crew, but details to follow. Stay tuned and make sure to become a fan of Trancas Films on Facebook for the latest Halloween news and updates! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dimension Films has finally announced the date that every fan of Michael Myers has been waiting to circle on their calendars. This news comes to us from Box Office Mojo, which lists the movies release date as October 26th, 2012. Which means one thing...Finally were going to get a Halloween movie that's actually in the month of October! This timing should work well for director Patrick Lussier and writer Todd Farmer who are currently consumed in their telling of the upcoming Hellraiser Remake. But one can only speculate if the Weinstein Bros. will pull the duo off of that project to get Halloween 3D moving. Source: Box Office Mojo -------------------------------------------- Well, it couldn't be worse than the second part of Rob Zombie's "re-imagining" could it? Could it???
  4. Always enjoyed Clarence's playing R.I.P. Big Man
  5. With the recent release of Def Leppard's "Mirror Ball", a lot of fans were upset that the band did not put forth a live offering from their 80s heyday. Well, while this isn't quite that far back, I did recently find some old files from various concerts that Lep made available on their website back around 2002. These were originally only available in 128 bit format, so the sound quality isn't the best, but I did "normalize" them, and included the track details for each song. Enjoy... http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BAKVQDDZ ACTION (live in London, UK, 1999) ROCK! ROCK! TILL YOU DROP (live in Tokyo, Japan, 1999) MISS YOU IN A HEARTBEAT (live in Montreal, Canada, 1996) ANIMAL (live in Nashville, TN, 2000) BRINGIN' ON THE HEARTBREAK / SWITCH 625 (live in Montreal, Canada, 1996) DEMOLITION MAN (live in Denver, CO, 1999) GOODBYE (live in Tokyo, Japan, 1999) PAPER SUN (live in Tokyo, Japan, 1999) WHEN LOVE & HATE COLLIDE (live in Tokyo, Japan, 1999) WOMEN (live in Salem, OR, 2000) TWO STEPS BEHIND (live in San Antonio, TX, 2000)
  6. Personally, I'd say go. You can go see him now, and hopefully get a handle on whether there is any chance for a fresh start for the two of you... if not, fine, at least you made the effort. If you don't go, and he passes suddenly, you may find yourself playing the "what if" game, and that game sucks.
  7. Literally stumbled upon this the other day as I was searching for any info concerning a new Ra album. A digital only release (unfortunately I think we're going to start seeing a lot more of these) capturing demos and b-sides going all the way back to 1994. "Supernova" - 3:54 "Cross of Snow" – 5:26 "Yesterday's Rain" – 5:53 "The Foundation" – 3:26 "Busted" – 3:24 "Baghdad" - 3:55 "Chained to the Ground" – 4:13 "Crazy Little Voices" – 3:51 "What I Am" – 5:20 "Not In Your Head" – 4:11 "U Need Me" – 5:11 "What I'm About" 4:03 "Seen All Good People" - 6:22 "Who's to Blame" – 3:41 You can listen to samples of all tracks here: http://www.amazon.co...&sr=1-1-catcorr Plus, all the info and liner notes for this release are here: http://en.wikipedia...._%28Ra_album%29 Some pretty good stuff here mixed in with some rap/rock dreck (tracks 4, 5, & 7). I find Supernova (their last single), Cross of Snow, Baghdad, What I'm About, Seen All Good People (Yes cover), and Who's to Blame to all be enjoyable tracks. Particularly What I'm About. As for a new Ra album, some articles/interviews I've found on the 'net make it sound like that's not going to happen (Sahaj has a solo CD that has been "ready to come out" for over two years now): http://www.breakdown...et/ra-1209.html BUT, on his own Twitter feed, Sahaj says "new Ra this winter" so I guess we can go with that. Yay!
  8. Shannon's "anger" is so forced it looks like she's about to crack up a few times, and in my 38+ years on this Earth, I've never seen Gene Simmons at a loss for words. Total publicity stunt b.s. *Also, how many times a day do you think Gene has people (both men and women) ask to take a picture with him? There's probably THOUSANDS of pics like the one that Shannon is supposedly mad about sitting on people's websites and Facebook pages. Geez...

  10. I just went through the registration process using a throwaway email, and it worked like a charm. I had the confirmation email (the email will be titled "Username and Password for Heavy Harmonies Comments Section" and will show as being mailed from "signup@heavyharmonies.com") in less than 10 seconds. Are you signing up from this link? http://www.heavyharmonies.com/cgi-bin/commentsregister33.cgi If so, what browser and operating system are you running? Are you running any script blocking software that could be screwing the process up?
  11. My vote is cast, and I agree, Mega Python vs Gatoroid is pure, bad movie awesomeness.
  12. You can hear samples of every song here: http://www.amazon.co...07112016&sr=1-1 *Love the editorial review on the page: Dedicated to Chaos is the sound of Queensrÿche marching forward artistically, philosophically and sonically. Their commitment to their craft is unwavering. Their ability to challenge themselves and create new soundscapes is unparalleled in hard rock. In an era when bands will sacrifice audio quality to crank out records, Dedicated to Chaos is a true "headphones record." Features the single "Get Started." ----------------------------------------- The only reason this is a "headphones record" is because you'd be damn well ashamed to let anyone else know you're listening to it! I'm a big Queensryche fan, and have probably been more forgiving than many of their fans over the last 17 years; heck, I thoroughly enjoyed "Tribe" which was panned by... well, damn near everyone. Mindrcrime II was a decent attempt at a return to the sound of the glory days, and gave hope to their fans that they were back on track. Then the "Take Cover" CD featured a few decent cover tunes, but overall was fairly disappointing, while 2009's "American Soldier" was just totally forgettable IMO. "Dedicated to Chaos"...well, there's no nice way to say it, sounds like pure, absolute shit. I've listened to the full songs, and checked out all the samples, and it's just plain depressing to hear what this once mighty band has turned into.
  13. Got the new one, "Code of Honour" in the mail yesterday and have been playing it all morning. At least as good as the S/T from last year, and maybe a touch more melodic overall. Another quality release.
  14. So, have you had a chance to listen to this one yet Geoff?
  15. Dokken are my faves, and while I may sometimes go 2-3 weeks without listening to a single song from them, when I do grab a CD, I find myself wanting to hear more. I usually listen to an older release, and then follow it up with some of their more recent stuff. I may grab Back For the Attack, and then wind up listening to Hell To Pay and Lightning Strikes Again too.
  16. OK, the recent furor over the 100% rating given to Journey's "Eclipse" got me to digging around to see what other titles have gotten a perfect rating from Andrew over the years, and here they are: Mecca - S/T Danger Danger-Cockroach Danger Danger- The Return of the Great Gildersleeves Harem Scarem- Higher Harem Scarem- Weight of the World TNT- My Religion Toto- Falling in Between W.E.T. - S/T Treat - Coup De Grace Mr. Big - What If... Journey - Eclipse So, simple question, are any of these worthy of a 100% in your opinion? For that matter, do you think ANY CD is worth a perfect 100% score? For me, from the list above, the TNT and Treat would be the closest, as I love both of those, but neither would be quite 100% in my opinion. I know some people say there is no such thing as a perfect CD; 100% across the boards on songwriting, instrumentation, vocals, song structure, running order, cover art, packaging, etc... Personally, I go in a slightly different direction, and think that every person should have at least one 100% CD that they can compare all other CDs to. Dokken's Back For the Attack is the disc that I measure all other CDs against. For me, BFtA is a 100 and I rank everything else relevant to that. Van Halen's 5150 would be a 99 for me, as would Y&T's Earthshaker. Treat's Coup De Grace is probably a 97 or 98, and TNT's My Religion would probably be a 95 or 96. See where I'm going with this? Anyone else kinda rank CDs similarly to this, or am I the lone nutjob? I know some people think there are quite a few perfect CDs out there, and I'd love to see those lists too. It's just interesting to see how different folks look at the matter.

  18. I may be alone in this thinking, but Wendy Dio really has no room to talk with the manner in which she has turned the Dio Facebook page into one long, neverending infomercial hawking products on a damn near daily basis. That's her prerogative if she wants to do so, but she's not coming off any better than Jorn, Joey DeMaio, etc... Regarding the Magic Circle tribute, with the money that would have been paid for licensing fees (I'm sure they would have wound up in court if they had not properly obtained the rights to release these songs) does anyone really think they've actually made money on that release?
  19. This is one helluva great CD! While their debut was a nice, solid release, on "Knock You Down" the band has really cranked things up a few notches. While I'm currently awaiting a new crop of 2011 releases to arrive in the mail (Poodles, Black n Blue, Warrant, FarCry) this is probably my fave for the year so far...

  23. Macho Man Randy Savage Dies In Car Accident Macho Man Randy Savage -- one of the greatest wrestlers of all-time -- died today in a car accident in Tampa, Florida ... TMZ has learned. TMZ spoke with Randy's brother, Lanny Poffo, who tells us the wrestling legend suffered a heart attack while he was behind the wheel around 9:25 AM ... and lost control of his vehicle. Earlier this month, Savage celebrated his 1-year anniversary with his new wife Lynn. Savage was 58. Macho Man began wrestling in the WWF in 1985 and became a superstar with his trademark catchphrase "Ooooooh Yeaahhhhh." Savage was so popular, he became the spokesperson for Slim Jim in the mid '90s ... and became virtually synonymous with the brand. UPDATE: Florida Highway Patrol tells TMZ ... Savage was driving his 2009 Jeep Wrangler when he veered across a concrete median ... through oncoming traffic ... and "collided head-on with a tree." Savage was transported to Largo Medical center, where he died from his injuries. Savage's wife was a passenger in the vehicle during the collision -- but survived with "minor injuries." She was transported to a different local hospital where she was treated. According to officials, Randy and Lynn were both wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident. Cops say alcohol was NOT a factor. An investigation into the accident is underway. http://www.tmz.com/2...estler-florida/ ----------------------------------------------------------- One of the all time greats. You will be missed.... oh yeaaaaaaaah.
