  1. http://www.sleazerox...ews/00283.shtml http://blog.zap2it.c...----report.html ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Former Alice in Chains bassist Mike Starr died in Utah... TMZ.com has learned. Starr appeared on the third season of "Celebrity Rehab" back in 2009 -- and was arrested last month for felony possession of a controlled substance. Salt Lake City cops say he had 6 Xanax pills and 6 Opana (painkiller) pills when he was busted. Starr was 44 years old. Mike's dad tells TMZ, "It's a terrible shock and tragedy." Police tell TMZ that Starr's body was found in a Salt Lake City home today. Cops say they were called to the house at 1:42PM. R.I.P. Mike
  2. From Walter: "Sheen has been officially fired from his show. Hopefully he’ll get through this difficult time with the love and support of his whores"
  3. Jerry O'connell auditions to replace Charlie Sheen on 2.5 Men: It starts out a little slow, but from about the 1:11 mark on, I was laughing my ass off! "Look at me goddess...LOOK AT ME! <punches wall>"

  6. I think over the course of the last year or so, all of us have probably been affected by the passing of one of our musical "heroes"; be it Ronnie James Dio, Phil Kennemore, Gary Moore, or one of the countless others who have left this world way too soon... but this... this is a little different. This is one of "us"; one of our own if you will. This is a guy who bought, sold, collected & traded CDs just like we all do. This is a guy who signed in here on HH and talked about the music that he loved along with the rest of us. And most of all, Kelly was a husband and a father, just like many of us here. It really makes you think about your own mortality.. you know? Rock in Peace Kelly
  7. More craziness from Charlie's interview this morning on NBC's Today... http://blog.zap2it.com/pop2it/2011/02/charlie-sheen-on-today-wants-3-million-an-episode-because-hes-a-fricking-rock-star-from-mars.html "I'm tired of pretending like I'm not special. I'm tired of pretending like I'm not bitching, a total fricking rock star from Mars, and people can't figure me out; they can't process me. I don't expect them to. You can't process me with a normal brain."
  8. Excellent song, and my fave from Chasing the Grail as well!
  9. Check out Bosh acting like Boozer has hit him with a flying forearm to the head: Flopping bastard...
  10. So evidently tonight's episode is a MUST SEE. Per Ken Tucker at EW.com: Tonight’s Fringe is a do-not-miss, revelatory episode, crossing time and space and allowing us to see Olivia and Peter as children. The hour is crammed with references to previous episodes while adding a great deal of vivid detail to the series’ fundamental relationships between Walter, Olivia, Peter, and Walter’s wife, Elizabeth. I gotta say, this show has been hitting on all cylinders this season, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they throw at us tonight.
  11. Ok, so apparently, Charlie saw that 2 and 1/2 Men show producer Chuck Lorre had taken a swipe at him on one of the "vanity cards" that shows up at the end of the shows he produces (I had no clue what these were, and still haven't bothered to look 'em up) and basically went off on the guy in the media. Long story short, production on the show has been halted, and there will be no more new episodes this season. So, how does Mr. Sheen react to that? Why, by flying off to the Bahamas with his wife (who he's separated from), his new girlfriend, and porn star Bree Olsen. While i fully expect to wake up one morning and read about Charlie being found dead of a cocaine overdose, with a pair of panties wrapped around his head and a stupid grin on his face, how much fun is this fucker having right now? You can read up on the saga here if you wish: http://blog.zap2it.c...s-one-does.html http://insidetv.ew.c...rest-of-season/
  12. Welcome.... to the electric circus!
  13. David Moors posted the following on MR.com earlier: Hi Guys, I've had so many damn problems in my life over the past 2 years that I'm not even gunna start to explain. I am currently working on getting the following titles out within the next month or so - Kidd Havok - TBA (When I heard to second album for the first time, I was just gobsmacked!! This album is just a continuation of Roll The Dice. If you liked Roll The Dice, you are gonna LOVE like one!!~! Killer stuff!) Merri Hoaxx - The Hoaxx Never Jokes (The old tracks from Joel Ellis' band before he joined Cats In Boots) Jolly Roger - ReAmped (A mix of tracks recorded back in the heyday and tracks that have recently been recorded) Babe Blu - Can't Stop Rock 'N' Roll (Including about 6 killer tracks c/o written by the great Jim Peterik and these tracks have to be heard to be beileved!~!) 14. Love Ain't Enough (one of my favorite ballads... EVER!) Tainted Angel Tug of War Love Ain't Enough (Acoustic performance)
  15. Stripper girl is truly excellent, but for me, "Community Property" is their best ballad. Such deep subject matter and those touching, emotional lyrics. It just warms the heart....
  16. Stumbled across these by complete accident today: http://www.amazon.co...&rnid=625149011 Basically, 6 metal samplers that you can download absolutely FREE from Amazon. 72 songs you can download for a bagel if you enjoy the heavier stuff!
  17. So the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue arrives in my mailbox today, and inside is one of the most lovely creatures I've ever seen. Her name is Chantal O'brien. Evidently she's on one of those hideous "reality" shows (The Bachelor) but that does not change the fact that she is hot as FUCK!
  18. Listened to this one several times today; killer new tune from the 'snake!
  19. Frontiers Records is excited to announce the release of the highly anticipated fourth album from THE POODLES entitled "Performocracy" on April 15th in Europe and May 5th in North America. The title of the album is a combination of the words "Performance" and "Democracy", meaning "The power of Performance" or "Rule by Performance". The album was again produced by Mats Valentin, but this time Tobias Lindell (Europe, Mustasch) mixed the 12 outstanding tracks that make up the cd. "I think we have followed through on what we started with the last album, "Clash of the Elements", explains singer Jakob Samuel. "Besides continuing to work with producer extraordinaire, Mats Valentin, we took a step further with some of the material that was hinted at on "Clash of the Elements". On "Performocracy" there is a more epic and darker character to some of the songs that we wanted to explore in more detail. Having said this, we have definitely stayed with a lot of the signature melodic elements that are trademark of the band". The first single off "Performocracy" is "Cuts like a knife", which promises to entice both Poodles fans and anyone with a passion for rock n' roll. The song will impact at radio on February 21st and the single will be released digitally only on March 3rd. A video produced by Steve Ravic, who also shot and produced the band's landmark DVD release "In the Flesh", will accompany the release of the first single. After the gold and platinum records that the band was able to achieve in their home country Sweden, now it is time for them to take on the world ! "One important aspect of having a few releases in the bag is that you know more what you want as a band" adds bassist Pontus Egberg. "Someone once said that "if you want to dream big, you have to dream in great detail". To us this means that we take all the knowledge and experience that we have acquired from our previous efforts and use that to plan ahead and make our dreams bigger." As the album title suggests, performing songs live is the reason for what The Poodles are as a band. A full European tour is planned for the early fall of 2011 and in conjunction to this The Poodles will also head to South America and Japan to support the release of "Performocracy". For the summer of 2011 The Poodles will take part to festivals and shows with a focus on Sweden. "Performocracy" will include the following tracks: I Want It All; Until Our Kingdom Falls; Father To A Son; I Believe In You; Cuts Like A Knife; As Time Is Passing; Love Is All; Your Time Is Now; Action!; Bring Back The Night; Vampire's Call; Into The Quiet Night; Don't Tell Me (Bonus Track). http://www.poodles.se/ http://www.facebook....les/61616469928 http://www.youtube.com/thepoodles
  20. I chose as follows: 1. Defenders of the Faith - This was the first Priest album I ever owned (actually it was a cassette at the time) so as my introduction to them, it stands as my fave after all these years. SFV is awesome as well, and I would also have to give consideration to Painkiller as it contains my favorite Priest tune, "A Touch of Evil". 2. 98 Live Meltdown - I enjoy hearing Ripper take on the back catalog, and think he does a damn fine job 3. Jugulator - Just an onslaught of metal 4. Iced Earth ~ The Glorious Burden Simply put, this is EPIC! Easily my fave from Ripper. "When The Eagle Cries" is insanely good. 5. Halford ~ Resurrection Great stuff! I've recently gotten around to finally replacing my cassettes of Point of Entry, British Steel, and Hell Bent For Leather with CDS, and have been enjoying getting to know these albums all over again. I'll probably pick up Stained Class too, which is one I've never owned in any format.
