  1. The CW released their new fall schedule today: MONDAY 8 pm Gossip Girl (New Time) 9 pm Hart of Dixie (New Series) TUESDAY 8 pm 90210 (New Night) 9 pm Ringer (New Series) WEDNESDAY 8 pm H8R (New Series) 9 pm America’s Next Top Model THURSDAY 8 pm The Vampire Diaries 9 pm The Secret Circle (New Series) FRIDAY 8 pm Nikita (New Night) 9 pm Supernatural Ringer is probably the only thing I'll be checking out.
  2. Some pretty good returning shows there...Eureka, WH13, Haven, Covert Affairs, Burn Notice, White Collar & Rizzoli and Isles.... As for the new shows well Falling Skies is the only one worth mentioning although I will probably give Alphas a chance... I agree Falling Skies is about the only new I care about. Also looking forward to many of those returning shows such as Leverage, White Collar, Haven, WH13, Covert Affairs and True Blood. Looking forward to the return of MasterChef, Burn Notice, True Blood, The Big C, Hell's Kitchen, and if you want a throwback to the sitcoms of yore, Hot in Cleveland and Joey & Melissa are cute, harmless viewing fodder. That, plus I like watching Melissa Joan Hart and Valerie Bertinelli... yum. As for the new shows, Falling Skies is a must watch, and I'll probably check out Wilfred; looks weird, so I'll probably like it.
  3. These guys sound like a sped up version of Alice in Chains IMO, and I enjoy both their CDs, especially the second one, "Wallflower" Enemy I Hate You I'm Sorry Not an actual video, but this is probably my favorite song from them, "Diva" Band info: http://en.wikipedia....ter%27s_Machine

Probably the biggest surprise to me is CBS actually putting original, scripted programming (Rules of Engagement) on Saturday night at 8 pm. They must be trying to get the episode count up so they can get a syndication deal and make some $$ before they cancel it. Other than Terra Nova on Fox, and Grimm on NBC, not a whole lot of the new shows that I'm particularly interested in. I'll check quite a few of them out probably, just not stoked for most of 'em.
  5. I wouldn't uncross my fingers just yet. The new fall schedules will be announced next week, and it wouldn't surprise me to see CBS whack another 2-3 shows between now and then. I'm surprised Criminal Minds: Suspect behavior hasn't gotten the ax yet. I hated the new Criminal Minds. I watched the first two but stopped recording it after that. CSI NY has been renewed for next season; Criminal Minds: Suspect behavior has indeed been cancelled.

  7. And now the mass slaughter of shows begins... ABC Previously cancelled: The Whole Truth, My Generation Got the ax this week: V, No Ordinary Family, Detroit 1-8-7, Off The Map, Mr. Sunshine, Better With You CBS Previously cancelled: Medium, Chaos Got the ax this week: Shit My Dad Says, Mad Love, The Defenders NBC Previously cancelled: The Cape, Perfect Couples, Chase, The Paul Reiser Show, Undercovers, Outlaw, Friday Night Lights (Final season) Got the ax this week: Outsourced, The Event, Law & Order: L.A. FOX Previously Cancelled: Lone Star, The Good Guys, Running Wilde Got the ax this week: Breaking In, Human Target, The Chicago Code, Lie to Me, Traffic Light CW Previously cancelled: Life Unexpected, Smallville (Final Season) *Don't know if they're cancelling anything else, but I did read that they picked up a new show called "Ringer" which will star none other than Buffy herself, Sarah Michelle Gellar
  8. Interesting question. I doubt if it would have been better, but it would have had the potential to be another great album for sure. With Rock n Roll Junkie only being on the Ford Fairlane soundtrack at the time they would have probably included it, and the track "Get it For Free" from the Dr. Feelgood sessions could have possibly been re-worked and included, so they did have a pretty good start on a new album if they had chosen to go that way. Primal Scream Angela Anarchy in the UK Rock n Roll Junkie Get It For Free
  9. Hard to believe it's already been a year since RJD passed. Rock in peace Ronnie.
  10. This is old news, but today was the first time I'd read/heard about it, and I decided that others should read and wince in pain as well... http://somuchgreen.w...n-set-accident/ VH1′s Caviar aka Bethany Benz breaks Prince Yahshua's Dick in porn set accident! LOS ANGELES — Urban X Award-winning performer Prince Yahshua is on schedule to make a full recovery from a freak "broken penis" accident he suffered during a sex scene on Aug. 23. Earlier this week Yahshua had his catheter removed and his doctor told him "the surgery was a 110 percent success." "Everything aligned itself back up right. It will be a two-month recovery," he told XBIZ. "So I'm very, very happy right now. Because definitely as soon as I got to the hospital that day they were like, 'Whoa, let us let you know now that you may never do porn again if we don't fix this right.'" Yahshua, who won the Urban X Award for Male Performer of the Year in July, was working with newcomer Bethany Benz for West Coast Productions when things went south. Benz was Caviar on the reality show "For the Love of Ray J." "She's a newcomer to the game, so I start the scene and I had her in the cowgirl position and it wasn't working out too well. I didn't like it and the producer didn't really like it. So I spun her around for reverse cowgirl because we thought maybe it'd be easier for her because of her height. She's around my height. Then 10 seconds into it, her rhythm wasn't matching with my rhythm. As I put my head to the side to talk to her, the next thing you heard was…[crunch]. "She jumped off and I guess it's the equivalent of going to your backyard, you know how you turn on your garden hose and it sprays out? That's exactly what happened out of my dick. It was like five to six people got massacred in the room, not killed, massacred. "I lost a pint and a half of blood. The reason why I didn't lose consciousness is because I was shocked and I kept on biting my lower lip so I wouldn't fade out." Prince continued, "Luckily for us we had the producer and two other fairly big guys at the scene that were upstairs and they carried my big ass out and put me in the director Terry Burton's truck and he floored it to the hospital." Yahshua said the group was running red lights and got pulled over by the police on the way. "When the producer rolled down the window so they could see all the blood on me they gave us a police escort to the hospital," Yahshua said. "As soon as I got to the hospital they had to do an immediate emergency surgery on me. In layman's terms I broke my dick. In the scientific world, it was my urethra, my pee hole was ripped and the aligning wall muscle to my dick was torn." Yahshua said the normal procedure for a surgery like that is 1 hour, 20 minutes, but his doctor took three hours to work on him. He said the doctor knew who Yahshua was and actually was "a fan." "It was thank you Jesus that I actually do have quite a few fans that actually know of me," he said. "The head specialist ended up being a fan of mine. So I was in the hospital for three-and-a-half days." Now that his catheter is out, he is regaining mobility. He has 32 stitches down there. "Now I'm getting the strength back in my legs," he said. "They told me things came back together perfectly." -------------------------------------------------------------- Well good luck to ya man... that's gotta hurt!
  11. I don't know; while it certainly seems an odd choice given some of the names thrown around who they were supposedly considering (Hugh Grant, James Spader, Jerry O'connell), the guy definitely knows comedy. I personally thought he was hilarious as Kelso on That 70s Show (damn I miss new Mila Kunis footage every week... <sigh>). I think whether or not his character is successful on the show will depend more on how they write him into the plot and if it falls in place amongst the other various absurd story lines they've come up with over the years. My guess as to how he's written in: Charlie and Rose die in some freak double asphyxiation accident while having kinky sex. It looks like Alan is about to inherit everything, and then Kutcher's new character arrives claiming to be Charlie's long lost son/heir, most likely the result of when Charlie was in his teens and had started banging his teachers. DNA is used to confirm his identity, and Alan is left potentially homeless yet again, until Kutcher decides to allow him and Jake to continue living in the house. To take the absurdity even further, Alan later meets/falls in love with Kutcher's smoking hot MILF of a mom. Just my idea...
  12. Idk..it's strange. Bands can release things independently today so it still sounds fishy. Also, who is in the band now? What is their official website so out of date? It is indeed strange. You would think that someone like a SPV or Frontiers would be excited to release a new Victory album. Maybe the last release (the re-records with new singer Jioti Parcharidis) sold so poorly that the higher profile labels didn't want to mess with it? Or like you said, why not release it themselves? There's some discussion about the album here: http://udoonline.pro...int&thread=1735 Sounds like there was some real doubt as to whether this album would ever see the light of day. As for the line-up, if it's the post "Fuel to the Fire" members, I guess it would be: Jioti Parcharidis: vocals Herman Frank: guitars Tommy Newton: guitars Peter Knorn: bass Achim Keller: drums But who the hell really knows. Their website and even their Wikipedia page just kinda stop with any updates at all right after FttF was release. Guess we'll find out soon enough.
  13. http://www.tvline.co...and-a-half-men/ It's Official: Ashton Kutcher Replacing Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men That noise you hear is Team TVLine tooting its own horn. Sources confirm that Ashton Kutcher has finalized a deal to replace Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men — a suggestion that was first proposed on this site three months ago. Sure he was one of a half-dozen names we floated, but we still deserve props, dammit! The Kutcher news comes two days after Deadline.com reported that Hugh Grant rejected a lucrative offer to join CBS' No. 1 sitcom. This marks Kutcher's first series gig since That '70s Show went off the air in 2006. Details regarding his Men character have not been disclosed. Chances are CBS is holding that piece of news until upfront day on May 18. No comment yet from Sheen's camp. Thoughts? Has Men traded up… or down? ---------------------------------------------------- Wow.... I gotta admit, I didn't see that one coming....
  14. Yep, North Carolina band. 4 of the 5 members shared the same last name, "Peralta" (I'm guessing a mixture of brothers & cousins). They recorded their 5 song demo at Reflection Studios in Charlotte, NC. They had a song (the power ballad "Someday We'll Fly Away" which is pretty darn good) on the Metal Mythos Volume 1 compilation: http://www.heavyharm...Mythos+Volume+1 The lead singer was a mere 17 years old when they recorded the demo. This is a 8 song cassette. The titles are: 1. Queen Of The Night 2. Fancy Dancer 3. Fly Away 4. Hear The Music 5. Liar 6. Living On The Edge 7. Hot & Nasty 8. Our Love Coming to an auction near you Cool. I think track 3, Fly Away, must be the same song from the compilation. Here it is from the Metal Mythos comp: Peralta - Someday {We'll Fly Away) Is it exactly the same, or a slightly different version?
  15. http://tosh.comedyce...s=synd_facebook I've got a small white one... does that make a difference? Keep it at least six inches away from your face... even the little white ones....

I wouldn't mind getting my hands on that Metal Mythos compilation CD. Do you know if it shows up much these days or is it pretty hard to find? I'm going to say it's pretty tough to find; the only time I remember seeing it on eBay was several years back when I picked it up. Just keep yer eyes peeled; ya never know, it might pop up somewhere tomorrow.

  18. Started out with Andy Curran - S/T (what a great CD this is!) and am currently listening to Reverend - Play God
  19. Gotta pick up the new one sometime soon. The S/T debut is still getting repeated plays...
  20. Guess I'm on an island to myself on this one; I actually found No More Johnny to be quite entertaining, and absolutely LOVE the song "Keep On Dreaming". I'll have to give this one a listen in the next day or so to re-acquaint myself with the entire disc.
  21. Zoning aka blocking, facing, or recovering is when the store associates go through and straighten the products on the shelves and racks in their designated areas. You pull items to the front of shelves to fill in gaps and make the shelves look full & neat, and also gather any out of place merchandise to return to its proper location in the store. Or at least that's what it was 13 years ago when I last did it.
  22. http://www.huffingto...d_n_856091.html Turn to any news channel for more info... story just broke a little bit ago. 'bout time the cocksucker got his.... While it certainly won't bring them back, hopefully some of the folks who lost friends, relatives, and loved ones on 9-11 (or at any of the other attacks he orchestrated) can gain some small measure of closure.
  23. So all the samples have been up at MR.com for a bit: http://www.melodicro...e-hellyeah.html · Monkey · Target · Hail Hail · Fools Bleed · C'mon · Jaime's Got the Beer · Angry Drunk Son of a Bitch · So Long · Trippin' 45 · Falling Down · Candy · Hell Yeah! · World Goes Round · A Tribute to Hawking Thoughts? I haven't listened to all the samples, but the ones I did were more "immediate" for me than the samples from the new Warrant. I'm looking forward to picking up both, but this one a little more now.
  24. I like it.... particularly the shout out to Rod Stewart....
  25. Yep, the Panthers have some SERIOUS work to do to become a contender again. I can easily see them picking first again next year with the team they have and schedule (BRUTAL) they have next season.
