  1. This link was sent out via the Kix mailing list today... The Shooze, Live at 11th Frame Lounge, January 19, 1980 This rare gem features the original line up of KIX, first known as The Shooze, performing live in Pikeside, West Virginia at the 11th Frame Lounge. Thanks to Doug Palmer for this 40 year old piece of KIX history.
  2. Looking back through their posts from 2015 on their FB page it seems like they actually managed to get the CD done via Pledge Music. If they had any issues, they didn't discuss them publicly anyway.
  3. Picked up this EP recently... quite enjoyable female fronted melodic hard rock. Nice covers of Scandal's "The Warrior" and The Outfield's "Your Love". I'm surprised back when this was originally posted that no mention was made of Sean Kelly of Crash Kelly fame being on guitar and Emm Gryner, sister of Tony Gryner aka our very own Koogles, being on vocals.
  4. Dokken Van Hagar Y&T Tesla That 4th spot could change almost hourly (Stryper, Def Leppard, Great White, and Brother Firetribe were all considered) but that top 3 is concrete!

  12. A synchronization license is an agreement between a music user and the owner of a copyrighted composition (song), that grants permission to release the song in a videoformat (YouTube, DVDs, Blue-ray discs). This permission is also calledsynchronization rights, synch rights, and sync rights. Thank you Google.
  13. A note from Mike Portnoy on FB:I hope you are all now enjoying the brand new Sons Of Apollo Live release “Live With The Plovdiv Psychotic Symphony”As you may have noticed, there are 2 cover songs that are on the CDs that we weren’t allowed to include on the Blu-ray or DVD because the label could not secure the video synch liscenses from the original bands. 😔I’m sharing these 2 tracks for you to enjoy while you can! 😉I encourage you all to copy, save and share just in case “the powers that BLEED” eventually take it down...Enjoy! 😎

  15. Simple song... simple message... I love it. How many times have you felt completely wiped out and then you hear a favorite song and it brings you right out of it? Sometimes the time just slips away Sometimes there's nothing left to say But I know I'm already gone Weighing me down with bills to pay So many things are in the way But I know it won't last long I hear the radio playing my favorite song Don't you just stand there, turn it up I really need to have some fun I see the struggle in my eyes What I've become, it has to die But I know I'm already gone Trying so hard to live in faith I triumph and then I fall from grace But I know it won't last long I hear the radio playing my favorite song Don't you just stand there, turn it up I really need to have some fun I hear the radio playing my favorite song I needed this, I was in a rut Sometimes everything's way too much I looked at all the things that happened I see my part, I learned my lesson Torn apart, I'm ready for a brand new start Everything I took for granted The simple things are all that mattered Tears I cried, I sing it with a troubled mind One of these days I'll say goodbye Nothing is left but space and time 'Cause I know I'm already gone I hear the radio playing my favorite song Don't you just stand there, turn it up I really need to have some fun I hear the radio playing my favorite song I needed this, I was in a rut Sometimes everything's way too much I hear the radio playing my favorite song I needed this, I was in a rut Sometimes everything's way too much I hear the radio playing my...
