  1. If that's the case, heaven&hell, they should have had someone else helping them write songs. Slik Toxiks lyrics are flat out wretched on some of their songs. I wish I had my cd with me so I could write down a few of the lyrics from Blood Money and Cheap Nicotene.
  2. I don't like onions so I don't have to worry about that problem.
  3. I've been watching reruns of In The Heat Of The Night and Nash Bridges. I remember watching In The Heat Of The Night when I was a kid. I always loved that show and it still holds up well today. It's a cop show that stands out from the crowd. The show takes place in rural Mississippi instead of the generic NY, LA, San Fran, Chicago or Miami that all cop shows seem to take place. I lived in rural areas most of my life and I can relate more to that than the big city crime. Nash Bridges is still good too. It's not a serious cop show, but still interesting. Don Johnson and Cheech Marin make the show. The fact that Jodi Lyn O'Keefe and Yasmine Bleeth were in the show made it that much better.
  4. I'm not a big fan of Pale Ale either but for some reason I love IPA's(Indian Pale Ale). The only beer I couldn't finish was that Wild Blueberry Beer that I think is made by Anheiser and it's horrible. The name alone makes me want to try it. I guess that's not such a great idea. The beer I couldn't finish was Widmer Drifter Pale Ale. That stuff is wretched. I drank a Widmer Broken Halo IPA this morning after work. It's bad, but I can tolerate it. I've drank Pitbull and Hollandia. I've drank Guiness and Guiness Extra Stout. As bad as that stuff was I was able to finish. I even drank that energy drink/beer hybrid Full Tilt. My teeth were throbbing from the drink, but I kept going. I think my teeth hurt for a day.
  5. Yesterday I mistakenly bought two six packs of beer I should have known to avoid. One sip of the pale ale and I instantly knew. Try as I might I could not finish the beer. It was just too nasty. I have a few questions. Does all pale ale taste terrible? What are some notable pale ale beers? If all pale ales are that bad I will avoid them all like the plague from now on. The other question is about not being able to finish a drink. Anyone else find a drink they could not finish? I think that might be the first bottle of beer I could not finish. I felt like I would throw up if I kept going.
  6. I'm a bit intoxicated at the moment, but I read it earlier. Very good stuff. Not sure if I could read it now if I tried.
  7. That's a great beer and probably my second fav from Canada after Molson. The first time I tried Labatt Blue I also got a 6 pack of Molson Ice. Me, my cousin, and a couple other people tried it. We all agreed that it smelled like skunk and didn't taste much better. I haven't tried anything else Molson since and that was about 3 years ago. Strangely enough I'm getting the urge to buy another 6 pack now. Maybe I will. I just bought a ton of beer this morning. Land Shark was one of them. I just drank one and it was pretty good. It tastes like a lighter MGD. My friend/boss at work kept telling me to get some so I did. I also bought a 6 pack of Widmer Drifter Pale Ale and Widmer Broken Halo IPA. My dad lives near Portland and he's pretty big on Widmer. I bought it for $5.95 a 6 pack. If I can drink enough of the beer I just bought I'll go back for the other 2 varieties I haven't tried yet. For the candy alcohol I bought Kahlua Chocolate Latte. I was on auto pilot and I accidentally bought a keg can of Fosters Lager and Foster's Bitter. I thought it was Heineken. I saw keg cans and didn't even think about what the can actually said. I should be asleep right now. It's 11:16 am at the moment. I'm not tired so I'm going to drink like crazy. I wonder how long until I hit the wall?
  8. I'm drinking one of these right now. My desire to drink beer is back. Hoorah!
  9. I'm a fan of Savage, but I think he's a bit arrogant. He takes shots at other hosts and then gets mad when they don't come to his defense. I know that if he took a shot at me I wouldn't be rushing to his defense. He also seems to have the belief that he is the only one with any intelligence. I think The Leprechaun, as Savage calls him, and Glenn Beck are just as good about getting information out there and they actually listen to what the callers have to say. Savage cuts down and belittles many callers before they even have a chance to say anything. Whether they have an important point to make or not doesn't even matter.
  10. Slik Toxik's Doin' The Nasty. For the most part the music is killer, but the lyrics are just so asinine it's hard to listen to. If there weren't a few standout tracks like Midnight Grind the cd wouldn't be worth owning. If only they had someone to help them crank out more songs like that one.
  11. I like Lostboys quite a bit. It's one of those releases everyone gives flack, but is actually quite nice.
  12. I absolutely love Cobra Dane even though I don't own it. I just wish it had better sound and I owned a copy. The cds I have need a bit more work on the inserts and some need more work on remastering the music. I'm guessing that some tracks are as good as they're going to get, but it's still a bit disheartening to hear songs that sound like they were from a second generation cassette copy. Soundwise I think Gypsy Blue is the best release I have, but Nasty Nasty isn't far behind and I like it much better. Not sure if what I just wrote made any sense, but I hope it did. From what I hear the newer releases are much better quality. We shall see at Rocklahoma. I'm going to get quite a few signed cds. Any chance I can score a copy of Cobra Dane?
  13. Yahoo Movies is the best site I've found for finding out when movies are supposed to be released. I switched to Movie Fone to find showtimes.
  14. http://wheels.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/04/27...s-too-late/?hpw Too little too late. That is one killer car. I wish I had an extra $40,000 to buy one.
  15. I wasn't the one who mentioned Prius, but that brand along with Scion are good examples of crap cars that I don't want any part of. I just threw a name out there when I mentioned Scion, but strangely enough that name is relevant to the story. I read an article, that I will try to find later, that talked about GM contemplating making Pontiac their version of the Scion line. The other option was to make it a niche brand. If they were seriously contemplating dragging the Pontiac legacy through the mud even more maybe it's good that they discontinued the brand instead. The government is a major part of the problem. They create impossible high standards for the car companies to follow. Trying to follow the governments rules and dealing with the greedy unions made it almost impossible to make a profit. The only vehicles they were actually making a profit on were the big vehicles like trucks and suvs. When the market fell out they lost their one revenue maker. I think many of you guys are missing the bigger picture. Something isn't right with this picture. Pontiac is the #3 selling brand GM has behind Chevy and GMC. For whatever reason Pontiac isn't profitable. Instead of figuring out why Pontiac isn't profitable their solution is to shut it down. What the hell sense does that make? They just shut down a brand that people are still buying. After diluting the brand and damaging it in ways unimaginable people were still buying it. It almost makes you think someone wanted Pontiac to die. Who knows? Maybe you're right about Obama's admin. GM seemed to have a wish to kill the brand. If Pontiac moved to a niche brand I'm sure they would have kept damaging it until they had an excuse to eliminate it. Obama's admin just sped up the process. I'm sure they felt good about doing it too. Tree huggers don't like muscle cars. They pollute the planet ya know? My aunt, aka adoptive mom, bought a 97' Olds Achieva when it was new. The first 5 or so years we owned it I thought it was a kick ass car. Then the car started falling apart. It had every imaginable problem after that. The car is currently sitting in my Aunt's driveway unable to run and she's wanting to give it to charity. After the nightmarish times I had with that car I can say that I don't care about Olds being gone. I can understand the brand loyalty though. They probably pissed off a lot of people with that move. Getting rid of Pontiac will probably do the same. I completely agree with what you are saying. Those people are too stupid to realize that if concessions aren't made there won't be a company for them to work at. My aunt went through the same type of thing at AA after 911 happened. The people she worked with were smart enough to realize that a smaller check was better than no check at all. What pissed them off was when the CEO tried to make himself a golden parachute. After the workers found out they ousted him. The thing is that Pontiac is all of those things to some people. Pontiacs are cool, affordable, and of decent quality. If you want a car that is stylish and has power, but you don't have tons of money you get a Pontiac. If you get a car like the G6 it can give you everything you want and you won't spend insane amounts of money. The other thing is that Pontiac doesn't look like the other cars out there. Olds was a bit like Chevy and Saturn is like a bad version of Chevy, but Pontiac is different. When GM made Pontiac cars the way they were supposed to be made there was nothing else out there like it.
  16. Pontiac is not the worst selling GM brand. Have you heard of Saab, Hummer, and Saturn? I can completely understand those brands being sold or cut, but Pontiac is classic. Looking at that chart I see that Pontiac is actually outselling Buick and Cadillac, but those brands stay. The old people and rich people get to keep their brand, but the young people brand is gone. What the hell are you going to buy if you want a cool car now? There is nothing. The way things are going we'll all be driving crap that looks like the Scion. The whole thing is just totally screwed up. GM should have never taken the bailout. It was making a deal with the devil. The brands decline is all on GM, but the death of the brand is on the governments hands. GM wanted to keep Pontiac as a niche brand, but were told to cut it by the B.O. admin. GM should have just went into bankruptcy like the experts said and they would have been in a much better situation right now. I also must say that it's not just GM and Chrysler in hard times, it's the whole industry. The vehicle makers that "supposedly" did things right are getting their asses kicked too. Even Toyota is looking to the Japanese government to bail them out.
  17. I see the Broncos finally went after a good running back. Now that Shanahan is gone they may actually have a RB that will last more than a season or two with the Broncos. That got sickening the way they went through players at that position.
  18. The travesty that was the Aztec. What the hell were they thinking when they released this? Look at this lame car. And they wonder why nobody is buying them. This is hands down the coolest car ever made. Why can't Pontiac crank out cars like this any more? You basically covered it right there. All of those things along with general incompetence helped bring GM down. The price of government intervention was to give up your decision making ability. Ford was smart enough to stay away from the bailout. The other two were not. One of the things you keep hearing from the government is that vehicles need to be more green and fuel efficient. What we think of cars is about to change. Everything is probably going to get smaller and there will no longer be gas only cars. The end of other sporty cars can't be far behind.
  19. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124060030328753755.html I knew this was going to happen sooner or later, but it hurts to finally have it confirmed. On my way home from work this morning I heard it on the radio. It has been my dream to own a Pontiac ever since I first watched Smokey and the Bandit when I was a little kid. I'm 25 now and I've yet to own my own vehicle. That dream has been with me at least 15 years. Right now I'm working my tail off trying to save for a Pontiac. I'm doing everything I can to save enough money for a new car and I don't know if I will make it in time. The stupidity of the whole thing is astounding. GM's only cool brand and they aren't going to keep it. They planned to keep it as a niche brand, but the Obama admin pressured them to cut the brand completely. Stupid Obama. I knew there was a reason I voted against you. The stupidity goes way further than that though. Instead of keeping Pontiac the cool brand they kept adding models that have hurt the image of the brand. For the life of me I cannot understand what the hell they were thinking by making the G3 and the Aztec Pontiac models. There were many other wretched models over the last few years too. If they want to know why nobody is buying Pontiac it's because they're releasing garbage like that. Give us cars that kick ass like the Firebird, Grand Prix, G6, and G8. If they kept Pontiac as the brand it was supposed to be it wouldn't be getting the axe. The mis-management of the company had a big part to play in this. There's way too much to cover at the moment, but I'm sure most of you out there already know what I mean. This makes me so sad. Another thing I love is about to be no more.
  20. I was totally caught off guard by finding out Firstryke is playing Rocklahoma. I would have never guessed it. There are a couple other bands from Tulsa that I know would have been more likely to play. There are so many great suprises. I would go just to see bands like Hericane Alice, Baton Rouge, and Lickity Split.
  21. I'm quite surprised by the Firstryke announcement. From what I heard Rick didn't have any interest in re-releasing his music. Of course all of my info was second hand knowledge so I have no idea how accurate it actually was. Maybe the info was passed along or Firstryke already had plans in place? I am indeed going. I'm going to try and bring my infamous friend Beavis with me too.
  22. Yikes! I don't want to explain it all again. It's all on here somewhere. If you want to know find the old post.
  23. Not at all mate. I want more people to see what I'm talking about. They probably did me a favor by not giving me a chance.
  24. That's a nice list. Any chance you can tell us who will be playing on what stage? Lol at Hollywood Harlot. Everyone who catches them are in for an unpleasant surprise.
  25. He should join TNA. He would make the best American wrestling company that much better.
