I just noticed that Voodoo Highway by Badlands is going for $25 to $50 on Ebay. Bo Bice has made this one go up in value. I just found 3 or 4 of these for under $5 just the other day. Looks like it could be time to cash in! LOL! This CD is everywhere, people are sheep!

Their first cd was pretty good, but got way too bluesy after that one. I can't say I liked anything after the first one which sucks because Jake E Lee is one hell of a shredder! :(

I like both but if I had to choose.....the debut is the better of the 2. Haven't heard Dusk yet, I remember seeing the Japanese version years ago in the local shop but I didn't want to spend the $35.

Jake E. Lee was great, I always enjoyed his playing. Then he dropped off the map. Now he has some covers album due out soon.

All three of their cd's are essential to a collection :)

F*ck! I had both those CDs, but sold them both for really cheap on ebay. Should have waited... :(

Damn Bo!

LOL, just kidding. Good on him.

As for Badlands, personally not a fan at all. Not my style of music, but still good to see a band like that noted on a show like Idol. The only reason he did it without music is because no one had ever heard of the song and could not be arranged to be played at the short notice I reckon...

Cheers,

Geoff

It's very blues oriented much like Voodoo Highway, but it's also much more raw. My understanding is that it is essentially the basic tracks for the never to be finished CD. Pretty much just one track each of guitar, vox, bass and drums, I don't hear any overdubs or anything.

That being said, I still think it kicks ass. It has a great vibe going for it, Ray sounds great and Jake is just pure emotion on it. If you're like T-BONE and you didn't much care for the bluesy direction started on VH, you will hate this.

If you want, shoot me a PM and maybe I can send you a track or two to check out.

Cheers!

If ya like BADLANDS then check out the s/t SUN RED SUN album, it's the last record Ray Gillen sang on before he died.

Damn, you can usually snag this CD for well under $5 at any used store. I saw 1 go for $68!!?? I bet they are all buying it for that 1 song Bo sang too. Badlands first CD is much better.

LOL...apparently you need to include the key words "Bo Bice" to get your auction to take off. All most of these bidders need to do is go down to their local used music store and pick up a copy for $8 or $9 max. :rofl2:

Did you notice that shipping was $15 for that one cd?

Bo and his band better get their product out asap if they have anything to release right now. They could really cash in.

I don't see what al lthe fuss is about......I mean it is great that "Bo" has brought attention back to a genre of music.......But BO like Badlands was truly average.....And is definately not worth the price that the Badlands cd's are going for now.......But that is just my opinion.......

    • Kickin' riff. This is a cool tune indeed. New album sounding promising.
    • Doesn't do much for me. Not sure it's any better than what I've heard from the new BJ album... but I guess it's not too bad. Wouldn't play it again, though.
    • Bit 50/50 on it, myself. I prefer the stuff on Mick's solo album, but it's not a bad song. That kind of solo in a Motley song definitely sticks out... but not in a bad way. It's cool. I dig.
    • Did they actually break up? They were releasing albums annually and finally fixed up the production end but haven't heard from them for a while now. Always loved everything they released, personally.  Edit - yeah, 'Be Here' from 2020 seems to be the last album. Allegedly still active, but obviously no recent albums. Would love to hear them add to the discography.
    • Released back in 2019 on vinyl only in most of the world, the only place it could be purchased on CD was Japan. It is finally available on CD to the rest of the world with the addition of two bonus tracks. One is the usual "bonus" track of a live recording of Go man go, and the other is the song Don't give up which was released at the start of the pandemic as a single. https://townsendmusic.store/product/140275?lf=035f179d9c80928d2d3b155fa72b0731 Follow the breadcrumbs to a sonic treasure trove with Alice Cooper's "Breadcrumbs" EP, which will be available on CD for the first time ever, featuring additional bonus tracks on this edition! Originally released in 2019 as a limited-edition 10" vinyl record, "Breadcrumbs" is a tribute to the garage rock heroes of Alice Cooper's hometown of Detroit. The EP features six tracks that showcase Cooper's raw and energetic take on classic Detroit tunes, including Suzi Quatro's "Your Mama Won't Like Me", Bob Seger's "East Side Story", and the MC5's "Sister Anne". It also includes the two additional bonus tracks "Don’t Give Up", conveying Cooper’s message of hope and perseverance to his fans during the COVID-19 pandemic, and a live version of "Go Man Go" from his electrifying set at Hellfest 2022. The album featured a star-studded lineup of Detroit musicians, including Wayne Kramer of the MC5, Johnny "Bee" Badanjek of the Detroit Wheels, and Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad. "Breadcrumbs" marked the beginning of Alice Cooper's homecoming, a journey that culminated in the critically acclaimed studio album "Detroit Stories", released in 2020. This EP served as a taste of Cooper's profound affection for his hometown's rich musical heritage, making it an essential addition for any devoted fan of the shock rock icon.   1. Detroit City 2020 2. Go Man Go 3. East Side Story 4. Your Mama Won't Like Me 5. Devil With A Blue Dress On / Chains Of Love 6. Sister Anne 7. Don't Give Up (Bonus Track) 8. Go Man Go (Live At Hellfest 2022) (Bonus Track)
    • New song "Summerlovin" feat. Olli Herman, me likey...
    • Pretty awesome! I often fantasize about starting an AOR, but I know nothing about making music.
    • Not gonna lie, I kind of like it. Hardly classic Crue, more like something that would have appeared on the Corabi-fronted self-titled album, but it's not bad for an oldschool band trying a modern hard rock song. That being said, I expect my opinion to be a lonely one, and I understand why fans are dogging on it...
