I read on Sleaze Roxx that Roy Cathey has been able to get Cold Sweat's - Break Out release from MCA Records and is going to make it available again for purchase. Here is the link for the full article.

This was one of my favorite releases back in the day. I have it on cd and love it. I'm glad that he is got it back and is going to get it back out there for all the fans. I wonder if they have any unreleased material that he will throw on there. If so, I may have to pick up another copy.

That is great news, especially for those who don't have it as the price had gotten pretty high. While I doubt it will happen, it would be really cool if they could reissue the album with the original Ferrari demo recordings. Granted that was with Oni Logan on vocals. As good as Break Out was I actually liked some of the demo versions even more than the final recordings.

I'll have to try and find some tracks from that as I didn't even know they recorded anything after Break Out.

Thanks for bringing up Sweatin' Bullets and for sharing the link to those two demo tracks, very cool.

update on reissue of Cold Sweat 'Break Out', scheduled release date Oct 26 (a bit later outside of NA) by 20th Century Music (same label that reissued Lion 'Dangerous Attraction'), unfortunately it does not appear to include any bonus material

Kinda weird that the price here in the UK is cheap as chips. I can buy it on the UK version of Amazon for £15, but on US Amazon its around $40.

    • I keep sticking with the band but my initial thoughts are that this is basically hookless. I sure hope this was just released as the first single cause it is loud and fast and isn't considered the best song on the upcoming album.
    • GENERATION LANDSLIDE (Cold Sweat / Lillian Axe members) – Ruling The Street Scene (2022) online sources · NOVEMBER 28, 2022     Comprising former members of both Cold Sweat and Lillian Axe, Las Vegas’ hard rockers GENERATION LANDSLIDE release their debut album ”Ruling The Street Scene”. Fronted by Anthony White, formerly of Cold Sweat and Cold Gin, GENERATION LANDSLIDE is a whirlwind of ’80s and early ’90s-influenced American-style melodic hard rock, complete with big hooks, singalong choruses and a feel-good vibe that continues throughout the entire ”Ruling The Street Scene”. Produced by White, the album kicks off with the ferocious ‘Little Miss Lonely’, then ‘Feel the Sensation’ follows with heavy gang vocals telling the story of finishing your day job and feeling the anticipation of going wild from seeing your favourite band in concert that night from a spiritual way. ‘Love and Pain’ relates the ups and downs in every relationship and the emptiness of being alone and ‘Are You Out There?’ is a tribute to the late Thin Lizzy bassist Phil Lynott. • Sorry I meant Dance With the Dead
    • As much as I love the Synthwave genre, I'm not very adventurous towards it. I generally allow the folks here to steer me in the right direction. I don't think I've listened to Dance of the Dead.
    • I've been coming around. The cream of the crop are good. Issue I have is for every Lebrock or Midnight there are 20 shite artists. But yeah, I have been buying a bit of the best artists. For me, the best synthwave release of 2022 is Dance of the Dead. It is like the soundtrack to a John Carpenter film never made. It really rocks in places too.
