As long as an agreement is met by the end of next week everything will be normal as usual. Otherwise we start losing football. I am sending out invites for the league I have run for the last 6 years TODAY. They are down to one issue and the thought is that it will be fixed soon.

It can't get here soon enough :)

I'm in..........

Just don't draft anyone from Denver and you should be okay buddy ;)

That is no shit. Except for maybe Lloyd at WR he was huge last year.

They did just sign McGahee so he could help in a flex league or maybe he will take the starting job from Moreno. McDaniels fucked the Denver franchise for at least another 3 years unless John Fox can work some kind of miracle.

  • 2 weeks later...

I don't care if it is preseason, I'm glad to see some NFL action tonight.

Backed. :beerbang:

So when is our draft? I assume we have a few weeks.

this Saturday. August 13 11:30pm Eastern. I sent out a couple reminders but will again tonight.

I just saw the reminder but won't be able to make it so hopefully the auto draft works out for me.

Don't we usually wait until it's closer to the season start?

I'm a little worried about my team and think I'll take a few on the chin this year but I also think I can upset some people, esp when Rivers gets on a roll. I expect him to be the #1 fantasy QB this year. he was top 5 last year throwing to little jimmy, uncle joe and sally sue last year. Not very on my WR's though. Hope that with Evans gone in Buff that Steve Johnson will get even more targets.

Haven't had either of my drafts yet, but hoping to repeat in my 12-team league and do better in my 8-team league, though if I come out placing in both leagues, I'll be happy.

Last year proved that while I love American Football, I know less about it than I do about brain surgery, so decided to give this a miss. Hoping for good seasons from the Chiefs and Eagles though.

I'm starting to feel a little better about my team. I just cant wait till week 1 to see what I really have. I think they are starting to round out into a pretty good team. Rivers and Mendenhall will have to carry most of the load but I do think Rivers will be the #1 fantasy qb this year in this league

    • I have learned not to assume these kinda releases are stand alone so I won't be buying the digital single, that's for sure. Been bitten with that one before. And if it does end up being standalone, well the digital single will still be available later. I don't like buying anything digitally, so only do it when there is no other choice.
    • Fairh In You - Jack Russell
    • Eclipse played that same game when Apocalypse Blues came out.  They dropped that song as just a single and made no mention of an album at that point as far as I remember.  All they were doing was selling the 7 inch vinyl.  We know now though that they clearly knew a full album was coming as Erik said they basically were working on both albums at the same time and deciding which tracks would go on each album.  Granted, maybe they didn't know the full timing of album #2 at that point but they certainly knew one was coming. Maybe the same here.  Maybe will trickle out a few songs and then announce an album later this year or early next year when it's closer to release.
    • So, Danny posted how the song is doing on Spotify and someone asked if this means a new album soon. Danny just made vague replies and said "well there will be more stuff coming soon"
    • Funnily enough, I read that this afternoon when I went to add the album to my collection on the main page. I got the European version which has two bonus tracks ... if you don't have them, you really aint missing anything
    • Faith in the Heartland-Journey
    • Created and Posted this video recently in order to promote Ryder SRIII a little more.  I love this song, one of my personal favs from the record.   Be careful viewing at work though (NSFW), just for a couple of images in the video.
    • Named my HH self after the song Auslander on the album Stain. Love that track. Really like the whole album. It's like Living Colour's "Slave to the Grind" or "Dog Eat Dog".
    • From Frontiers: TRACKLIST: 1 Awesome God 2 Stand Up 3 Warrior 4 There You Are 5 Speak His Name 6 Why God Brought Me Here 7 Praying 8 It's Up to You 9 Holy Moment 10 Leaning on the Cross 11 Jesus Christ --- When a musical family gets together to record, magic can happen and this is what the VAN ZANT’s are here for! Brothers Johnny and Donnie Van Zant (respectively current lead vocalist of Southern Rock icons Lynyrd Skynyrd and founding member of .38 Special) were able to find room in their busy schedules for the first time in 1998, recording their collaboration album “Brother to Brother”: a tribute to their late brother and Lynyrd Skynyrd original singer and founding member Ronnie. Such release was highly acclaimed between the press and fans worldwide and brought the duo to record a follow up album, simply entitled “II” in 2001. Their collaboration during the years did not stop as they tapped their feet in a more Country-oriented style with the release of “Get Right With the Man” (certified Gold in the USA in 2005) and later on with “My Kind of Country” in 2007. Now the brothers once again reinvent themselves, offering a Christian-themed album encompassing their Rock and Blues musical roots (and with a touch of Country for good measure). The result “Always Look Up” is made up of songs that will touch the listener’s heart and soul, with an emotional depth that is truly second to none in today’s musical landscape. Experience the soul touching that only the music from the Van Zant family, can provide. You will see why they are icons of the American South, and musical heroes to millions around the globe!
