66 mustang
anyone here a fan of the Zakk Wylde mix of hard rock and southen rock? I think it is a very strong cd.
Christine
Funny you should mention this one... I just picked it up the other day. It's actually a replacement... I sold off a ton of my cd's years ago when I was a starving student! I love Zakk's drawl on "Losing Your Mind!" Killer disc...
Bobbi Flekman
Great band! He should have stayed with them instead of starting Black Label Society.
Bubbasmama
Hmmmm......I've got this.......but I haven't listened to it in a lonnnnnng time.... Think I'll do that now!!
CurtisLoew
Of course, I dig it...but I actually prefer the ballads to the rockers. He sounds a lot like Ricky Medlocke, which certainly doesn't hurt if you're doin' Southern Rock.

Captain Howdy
The Pride & Glory CD is worth buying just for the song "Hate your guts"! Of course "Losing your mind" & the awesome "Horse called war" are no slouches either!
66 mustang
I didn't know that on an import version that they did a cover of Come Together. sounds really good. I was sending a link to someone to take a listen and I took a listen and really enjoyed the clips again. I think I will pull this cd out again and give it a few more spins. Blue Charvel
I love Zakk's playing on P&G and the BLS stuff, but I wish he'd get a producer in there that knows what he's doing. I hate most of the productions on all of his non-Ozzy stuff. All the levels are whacked, his solos come in way too loud, I just don't like it . And the worst thing is I love the playing and songwriting, I just can't get into the mixes...
jason (FA-Q)
I Love Zakk Wylde! He's one of my favorite guitar players. BIG NEWS FOR BLACK LABEL FANS!!!!!!!!!!!!! BLACK LABEL SOCIETY Sign With ARTEMIS; New Album Due In March! Artemis Records has announced the signing of BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, featuring legendary guitarist Zakk Wylde, to an exclusive worldwide licensing, multi-album contract. An album of all-new material, "Mafia", is slated for a March 8, 2005 release. Artemis Chairman/CEO Danny Goldberg commented, "Zakk Wylde is one of the greatest guitar players of all time and BLACK LABEL SOCIETY is poised to become one of the world's biggest rock bands". A regular on the covers of such esteemed magazines as Guitar World, Guitar One and Guitar Player, in 1987 at the tender age of 19, an unknown Zakk Wylde was hand-picked by OZZY OSBOURNE to be his lead guitarist. In addition to his responsibilities as Ozzy's main axe slinger, Wylde was responsible for co-writing many of Osbourne's best-selling multi-platinum albums, including "No Rest for the Wicked", "No More Tears" and "Ozzmosis". The current issue of Guitar One (Holiday 2004) again features Wylde on the cover. Guitar World has recently described Wylde's skills as "skull-crushing electric prowess." Wylde's musical mastery has spawned numerous instrument product endorsements. His signature products include four custom Gibson guitars, a custom Epiphone guitar, a limited run Marshall amplifier (which sold out in one day), EMG pick-Ups, GHS strings and Dunlop pedals. Wylde can be seen prominently featured on the current MTV series "Battle For Ozzfest". In 1998, Wylde formed his own band, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, while still maintaining his role as Osbourne's lead guitarist. In BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, Wylde serves as sole songwriter, lead vocalist and of course, lead guitar player. To date, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY has released six albums and has sold in excess of one million units worldwide.

heaven&hell
I still love this disc and have since the first listen. Now that Lomenzo is freed up from Megadeth Zakk should do another P&G disc. I like most of his BLack Label discs but P&G had something extra IMO.
