Geoff
Holy f*ckballs. $13.99 plus postage won't work for me, but I'd love to hear this. I had no idea there was such a recording.
glam_junkie
not sure if it's silver pressed or not either. would be interested to find out. Pretty sure most of their other stuff is cdr.
heavyharmonies
Your wish is my command. I just emailed them and received the following: Hi Dan, ... The CD's are sliver replicated, the DVD on Alleycat's Encore is a DVR. ... Thanks again, Erin Demon Doll Records

BrianJ8173
I have the encore cd and it is a cdr, I am pretty sure silver replicated means cdr.
heaven&hell
I have the encore cd and it is a cdr, I am pretty sure silver replicated means cdr. I was thinking the same thing but if it is Silver pressed cd then I'd probably order it.
glam_junkie
I have the encore cd and it is a cdr, I am pretty sure silver replicated means cdr. great minds think alike. So do skeptical ones! I have the 4cd comilation set and they are cdrs, although 'very silver' looking cdrs. I'll most likely still order some more stuff from them when the aussie dollar shapes up. heavyharmonies
In industry lingo, "duplicated" means burned CD-R, and "replicated" means pressed from a glass master. If a label is using the terms otherwise, they're wrong. I'll soon find out as I bought a few of the releases. -Dan
glam_junkie
Please keep us posted Dan. I'd like to know which titles you get and what sort of "pressing" they are.
Robtyketto
Slightly off topic but didn't their drummer join the band Revolution Hazy at one time? I mention them from time to time on these boards as really liked their album and keep hoping for a re-release with added hanky panky tracks too. The demos of hanky panky I really like the ballad "Used to be you" the singers voice is haunting on that track. Sometimes the demo quality gives songs a really great atmosphere, especially that ballad. Ermm just like Tres Chics "memory lane" another band lost in the shuffle, they need to put their other tracks (better ones imo) on the myspace page, rant over

Alexxtcatz
I doubt that it's the real 'silver' CD. Same old story that was with the Alleycat Scratch's Encore release and reissue of Banshee CDs. Many people and musicians don't know a difference between a silver CD and CD-r or pretend that don't know it coz wanna get some money.
