Best Slaughter album?

The first half of "Back to Reality" just kicks ass....."Trailer Park Boogie Queen" is one of my all time favorite tunes!! If the drum mix would have been better, it would rate even higher.....still, for TPBQ gotta go with "Back to Reality"!

Are they still making music? I heard some security guy roughed up Mark Slaughter pretty bad last summer I think they are referring to it as the Marshall Effect.....

I preferred Vinnie Vincent.

Not a big Mark Slaughter fan,but his vox on VVI's 'That Time Of Year' & 'Love Kills' were class.

Slaughter is one of the few 80's bands that never tried to jump on the grunge/alternative bandwagon to get more fans and I really respect them for that!

BACKED! One of the things I truly love about them. I think them, Bon Jovi and Pretty Maids are a few of the only bands that didn't and I love 'em for it.

 

+ just about every AOR band I can think of who are still recording.

But they probably all sucked in the first place anyway so it didn't matter one way or another.

I think their debut ("Stick it to ya") is their most consistent, but my all-time favorite Slaughter song is "Real Love" off their sophomore album ("The Wild Life"). Still, due to its sheer consistency, I voted for "Stick it to ya." But really, as others have said, this is hardly a great band. Props to them for never selling out, but I grew weary of them a couple years back and jettisoned all their CDs from my collection. Can honestly say I haven't missed 'em.

 

Bottom line, I don't hate 'em, I don't love 'em.

I like a few songs from the first 2 cds. Not sure if there is a "best" Slaughter album, but I voted for "The Wild Life".
