The LG's don't produce as deep a black as the Panasonic NeoPDP panels. You should really go into a dealers & I don't mean Currys/Comet & get a proper demo of the sets using Freeview/dvd & blu-ray playback. The Panasonic Freesat plasmas are great if you've not able to get any HD content. You get BBC1 HD, BBC HD & ITV1 HD with CH4HD starting on April 1st for free.

I think I agree on the 3D novelty, will leave that until a later date, you`re another one suggesting Panasonic Plasma, seems like I`ll be looking for that. Thanks I've got a Panasonic V20 42" THX plasma which has a fantastic picture and a good array of features.

Plasma's produce better blacks then LED/LCD screens. However they are more power hungry. John Lewis are doing a Panasonic 50" G20 plasma with Freeview HD & Freesat HD for £899 with a free 5 year guarantee. I'm personally not a fan of 3D so can't recomend it. As for cheap Blu ray systems have a look in Richer Sounds.
