Yeah nothing too obvious in respect of promotion, except for the ever present Dave Ling. Must be the biggest ligger in rock journalist history ;-) In terms of the bill it was the exact wrong way round IMO. Houston were vastly inferior to Serpentine and in particular Vega, who were head and shoulders the best on the night. Agreed

If they did sponser it, there was no sign of it on the promotional material or on the night.

Interesting point. Did the same happen to Adrian Vandenberg when John Sykes and then Steve Vai were in the band? I can't really remember what the band dynamic was then. Adrian wasn't in the band when Sykes was.

Vega were my band of the night. The sound quality got worse as the evening went on? I thought that Serpentine's new singer was a good choice, looking forward to the new album from them. Yeah Houston were a bit cheesy but with better sound and a better lead guitarist they would of been much better.

Yep, I hate the guy. Always have always will avoid his movies like a javelin to the eyeball. Thus I have not seen 'School of Rock.' This thread is not for you, mate, you don't have any kids ..... ! Well...none he's admitting to. I did eventually watch School Of Rock last month and was totally underwhelmed!

I guess from say 6pm onwards. I'll get there as soon as I can due to the wait for the congestion charge to end at 6pm!

I also feel as a newbie my opinions don't matter. Hell, I don't even get many responses when I post topics so I move on to other sites where you don't have to be in a clique to make friends. Just my humble opinion. I just had a quick look at some of the topics you started and in the main (except maybe the Rhino Bucket thread!) the response wasnt that bad. Got to remember that there isnt 1000s of guys coming here every day - probably a hardcore of about 50-100 on a regular basis (?). Ive been here for about 6 years now (4 on the message boards) and ive absolutely no complaints whatsoever about the posters here. Its generally all good banter but never nasty or moany like some other boards. Exactly Cheers
