As a mentioned in one of my ramblings somewhere on here. I see nothing wrong with collecting for value as long as you make that clear. Its much easier to understand where your coming from when your posting or replying to a post like this or another. I hardly doubt than anyone even a non high value cd collector that got ahold of a cd that they new would sell for hundreds would just give it away. I mean your more than welcome to send me all those high dollar cds. I promise I wont sell them on ebay . Having been around awhile I kinda see it as both. Everyone here is here for this style of music. Its about the music and all that other stuff is just part of the music. I dont collect that stuff why? Obvious I dont have the money to spend on it. If I did would I Maybe?. Though I dont always agree with everything said on here... Fact is Everyone is here for the music.

Well, I'm not defending the seller, but if asked and then bid without hearing from them you take your own chance, which has very predictable outcome... Always, ALWAYS update your address with eBay and PayPal - it takes 2 minutes to do so and will help you avoid mishaps like this. Many sellers print labels ditectly from ebay - especially the big volume sellers and its easy to overlook an instruction. Agreed since I do it full time. I print all my postage via paypal even ones that are mailed. This connects your ebay address to the postage. Parcel post will not be forwarded to a new address. I no that doesnt appy here since yours was first class?.

Shit thats hard to say..... Mustang just how big a fan are you. I bet we are close as half my collection is country and I like it all the way back and all the way up today. However im opposite Sam as I dont care much for those bands. I tend to lean more toward the female vocalists.

By Accident I was able to help buyers see the inner ring clearly. The turbo lister ebay has went to shit so I changed over to auctiva. This is a free hosting site where you can list with up to 10 pictures, Supersize(this being the keyword) plus free graphics and more. All Free........I never use ebays stock photos and scan the cd face and booklet. when you supersize the pic the inner ring is crystal clear and very readable. However for one reason or another most sellers do not do it like I do so it kinda defeats the purpose if your trying to make sure its original.

Cool read but what is it? By the way I havent heard the name All Sports Band since I went on my quest to get every song to top the 100 Billboard charts in the 1980 Decade. I never did find anything available for download for that band. Its one of the few bands from the 80s I dont have on cd.

Thought of Keeping my reply to your post to myself But after reading it I thought who really gives a shits. The Music fans have spoken loudly on this. Whether it be through ebay buys, Downloading music, or trading cdrs. I bet there is not a single artist out there that hasnt either had a boot, made copies of music, or traded copies with others. You think when these bands release music that they dont know some were along the line that the music isnt going to get "booted, made copies of music, or traded copies with others. Why becuase they did it themselves to other bands. Your right It is there property "until" that music surfaces into the hands of others. Once its out we will refer back to the above statement. Do I think a band should be pressured into releasing or reissuing NO but I dont think they should be surprised either if they see it surface. We all talk this shit here on the forum with most are hypocrites. Blah Blah Blah.... I think the only honest ones are the ones that admit they do things that arent Morally right. So let me make it perfectly Clear - Every artist is aware that if there music surfaces what will happen. It is there job not ours to protect that music. I will continue along with millions of others to buy these cds. Just becuase you say its a boot doesnt mean shit to me. Theres no hard evidence it is. Just becuase someone makes a statement on the internet "Doesnt mean they are actually who they say they are" Its all hear say. Bottom Line - Its the Artist that needs to persue these people making and selling these cds. When it becomes public court records then and only then is it proof its never been released and the copies are fake. Its a easy fix - Musicans go after these guys PERIOD!. This will solve the problem. This brings me back to this Lonnie Scam. Like most these artists you complain but you didnt follow through. Yes you did the FBI thing, Postal Fruad, Called the Police department, ect. Then I hear it isnt worth persuing any further becuase of what? Well do i need to say it! Money. It would cost to much to drive here or court cost, ect. So your basically saying its ok what he did I cant afford to do anything else. BullShit! These guys will never learn unless you follow through! You cant sit back and hope what you have done so far is enough. Same with Musicains Bottom Line - I have yet to buy a cd that I can say 100% is a bootleg. I wouldnt have a clue. I keep hearing look for this look for that blah blah blah. Then I start hearing well it was self released and the artist made cdr copies and sold them. Then I hear maybe that would be a bootleg becuase its on cdr............... sheshhhhhhhhhhh you all do more harm then good. Who is to say a artist didnt release 100 cds one month in 1988 and 100 later that year. These cds may have different writing on inner circle. All of a sudden one is a boot. No one can say for sure on alot of these are bands what is legite or not. Im not sure even those band members couldn't say 100%. I believe there are a few"very few" people on site actually trying to protect the bands rights... I beleive there are a bunch trying to protect the value of there collection and there are a ton that just agree to anything anyone says here to keep from falling out of the incrowd. For those I say this "we arent in school anymore". Me Im going to enjoy the music - Let the musicians protect there music and expect alot of replies to this.

No, my sense of smell is nothing special. It was just obvious with the Hurricane boots I got. Jarred can comfirm this...the odor just hit you in the face when you opened the jewel case. These things were obviously newly printed. And you couldn't be more wrong about my "being in it for the money". Where do you get that from? I'm in it because I'm a fan of the genre. I just want to receive what I paid for...wouldn't anybody? We hear that say quote constantly "I'm in it because I'm a fan of the genre or for the music" Its ok to admit your in it for the money or value. I have no problem what so ever with that. To many for some strange reason cant admit it. I could do like others and spend big bucks get elite stuff but why? My thoughts are this stuff its hot now but wont last forever. If it makes a person feel good or the music sounds better at 500.00 than 15.00 than go for it. Ill tell you right now becuase I dont need to pretend.... If I get ahold of a cd that sells for 500.00 that I can make a huge profit off its out the door. I dont care if its the best cd every released. That one cd gets many more 15.00-20.00 cds which gives me much more music to listen to. The music to me is not about the money but I sure the hell aint gonna pass up making a bunch if the situation arises. Now 80.00 even for the hurricane cd sounds outrageous to me. Im sure its not to most. However the difference between you and me is that I would have given 80.00 if it was something i wanted and even if i found it was a boot i would have been happy. For instance. Someone here mentioned way back that the Strutt cd Sam was selling is a boot. Well i own it- gave 40.00 would have been more than willing to give 80.00 even knowing it was a possible boot. And for the person who said it ( i cant remember who) I see no signs what so ever that it was a boot. Just for the record Being a printer I can vouch for that, definitely an odor to newly printed materials, especially when they're printed in places that have less environmental restrictions than the US, Western Europe, Japan, etc. Out of curiosity what time period we talking. I would guess your talking hot of the press? Not like a cd you buy at the store sealed. Would a example be like if i printed a picture right now off my printer with lots of color? that kind of smell? If thats true that it does have a smell then it must be pretty unusual to get one like that.

In other words it is acceptable to bootleg in an effort to blackmail the artist into doing what you want...gotcha. Actually though it sounds bad the way you put it. How else could you show them that there music is worth the effort of reissuing? Nothing speaks louder than money. No way to show demand without having something out there whether it be a boot or original. 2 Originals on ebay lets say go for 500 each. So what the band thinks you got 2 crazy SOBs that have way to much money to spend. Im not for ripping anybody off but I think there is alot of good that can come out of this Process:) You're kidding, right? For chrissakes choc you must have one Honker smeller there. I think Ive heard you mention this new smell thing before. You must be one of the few with that talent as I tried it today and had to laugh. Couldnt beleive i was sitting around spelling cds HA!. If the boot is as good as you described it then someone has some talent out there. Having read alot of your posts theres no doubt in my mind your in it for the money. Meaning the value of cd overrules the music for you. Personally I think its pretty clear when you see 1982/2005 that it originally released in 1982 and was put onto cd in 2005. Unless your a first time buyer on ebay or just started collecting you no when you see 2 dates there must be a reason. Thats why ebay has ask the seller a question button.

Having a son that turns 18 tommorow I have heard most all these plus most everything they have played. I chose Tool and really was surprised that i would like them. Alot of these bands like Drowning Pool, Korn, Disturbed, ect. have one or 2 songs I like that.

I traded with a bunch of you back when I signed up. I think King was the first I traded with. Im building my collection up and hope soon to trade again. It will be a interesting list:). Somebody I know In forgetting that I havent seen for awhile that I did alot of trades with. Ill have to check the list

Damn this post is gonna set a new record for replies. Ive been reading this since it started and didnt reply as I couldnt beleive it. I mean you all have said its just a mind blower. If any of you are like me.. You have always said no way you could be scamed or how in the hell do people get scammed so easy. Lesson learned no doubt. Obviously without a doubt there are issues here. You know how much work patience and time would have to go into a scam like this. Even a mastermind would be amazed. Just about clicked the buy button over on Amazon on Killer Bee Cd until I say the seller DavesMetal. Same problems over there. Slow shipping and a few that said they hadnt received there cds. Thanks to the thread starter here I saved myself alot of hassle. Sad the price was right and I really wanted the cd

LMAO........... Man im not laughing at you but since i sell on ebay for a living thats about all I have left is to laugh at these buyers. Like you way back in the day I got pissed at this stupid kinda shit that buyers do. It aint worth it and it wont be the last time you see it. I agree with all the comments above. Just rlelax Save your energy for the next idiot. Me I dont even worry about leaving negatives for buyers unless they sell also . Far as Im considered negatives dont stop a buyer. Hell unless your monitoring your auction buyers you dont even see it until its too late. However You can file a NPA on the 8th day after auction. Then you can finalize it either after the buyer responds to it or after a additional 7 days. This creates a strike against there account and does way more damage. 2 or 3 of these are there gone. International sales can be tuff and what ever you do Register mail the package as Ive heard others mention on here. Its the only way to protect yourself against charge backs and even that doesnt always work. No doubt I have way more problems with International shipments but now that I require Registered mail I dont do many International Sales:). Nothing pisses off a buyer more than when you file a NPA - They respond - You Finalize - Sale Done - Relist - STRIKE..... Your case above would have been a perfect one.

Well I went out and stood in line again for the Wii and got it. Beleive it or not it was worse this time here over the PS3. I keep hearing the words Gouging, ect on Ebay. Remember Its the buyers pushing this things up so high. Ya the sellers are listing them high but they arent pushing the buttons for the buyers. That would be like saying we have no contrl over ourselves. Personally I wish they hadnt went so high as I would have kept mine. For 3 times what I paid I had to sell. The wii however Im keeping. I ended up with 3 of these. Even though they are selling for 2 times the purchase price I havent listed any. I think all these horror stories seemed to be focused mostly on bigger citys? as we had no problems when it came to violence here. Mostly people irriated from being in the cold so long. Hell i was enjoying it as Im a avid deer hunter and cold doesnt effect me much. I was on high alert though. I do agree the PS3 are propably already having there problems but damn the graphics are unbelievable. Hell my complaint is with the companys releasing these. Damn have stock built up before you release them. Shit its no secret that there are a trillion gamers out there.

Well mine sold in about 10 seconds for 1800.00 which is what I asked for it. Ridiculous Yes but whats a person to do . They have downloads that fix the problems with the old playstation games that wont play on the new system. Recalls o ya i see that coming soon. To be honest I stood in line for my son which also was there. I told him he would get half the profit and Im using the other for the Nintendo Wii system. So he made around 550.00 for 36 hours.
