I NEED HELP - mythos2010br
hardrock80srule replied to LV KIX's topic in Good and Bad Traders, Buyers, and Sellers
That is my question..? The thing I worry about is him sending "registered letter" (so he has proof of mailing it) and then putting $5.00 in it. He would have a record that he sent something to me and I would have no proof of how much he sent me. Ebay always seems to favor the buyer.. that is why I am a bit unsure if I should go on with this. Ebay won't get involved in a mailed payment even if he shows proof he sent something. If the guy wants to send cash that is definitely the way to go. Apprantley he isnt the smartest since he is more likely to get ripped off this way than using paypal with a credit card -
Your friend must really like the heat. Its been in the 100s for Days here(missouri) and will be all the rest this week. We havent seen any rain in I would guess 2 weeks now. Its like being in the Twilight zone. If you remember the old Rod Sterling Twilight Zone Episodes, How dreary they always looked. Thats what it looks like when you look outside here. Just a haze and everything dying.

Anyone Else Use www.gohastings.com?
hardrock80srule replied to Fat Freddy's topic in Dumpster Diving
You have had better luck than me with condition. Hopefully the ones you receive this time are in as good of condition as your last batch. Me personally I wont order from them. Anytime I am on Amazon placing a order i will skip right over them to go to a higher price if need be -
I also own the O Brother Where Out Thou soundtrack. The movie was so good I couldnt get some of the songs out of my mind for days so I bought the cd. The movie still rates high on my most watched Movie list

A couple of new (old!) releases coming on Feb. 14
hardrock80srule replied to heavyharmonies's topic in AOR and Hard Rock
I have never had one of those 24k cds but always wanted one. I went ahead and ordered the Dio. I figure it can only gain value in the future. Not that I would ever part with it anyway. I noticed while over at amazon there is also a Bryan Adams cd coming out on the 14th that is 24k. I think it was like 22.00 or something like that -

I've watched it 3 or 4 times. I thought it was pretty good but then I am so damn bored of watching the same old crap on the movies channels that anything different looks good -
Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame 2012 nominees
hardrock80srule replied to LV KIX's topic in Music Polls and "Best of" Lists
Although I am a huge GNR fan I went with heart Heart has more than earned there place in The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. GNR has plenty of time to get there. -
Is on my wantlist and now it sounds like i better move it up to the top of the list. Has anyone heard his 2nd release - You Want It You Got It- Any good?

Excellent Song but not compatible with these guys. IMO a easy song to cover by any band but not any band can take it to the next level. One of the better songs to come out of the 80s
-
I use to follow them but its like watching a Kansas City Royals game now. Kinda sad since I used to love to watch them play. I pretty much dont watch any football since they went to shit many years back. I dont think I have watched them since they brought Joe Montana on board back in 1993

Bad Amazon Buyer
hardrock80srule replied to HighNDryRulz's topic in Good and Bad Traders, Buyers, and Sellers
I see this shit all the time. They will have to return the item before they can get there money back. As far as I know they also have to prove they returned it with either delivery confirmation or signature. And they pay the return postage not you I get so sick if these freaking idiots buying without reading the description that if I was you if he doesnt send it back with proof of deliver just pretend it never came back. At some point these people have to learn to be responsible for what they do. -
IMO the best country band ever. I have ever single cd that have released accept for the 1000s of greatest hits cds they have released. They were one of those bands you didnt have to get samples before there release. You just new no matter what they released was gonna be good

I am glad you brought this up. I had forgotten they released it and just ordered it. After doing some checking I see they were originally called Huang Chung and had a 1982 release which was issued on cd in 1995 and may be hard to find. Ill have to check As for the 2/3/4 releases I thought were all quality releases. They had a 4th in 1989 but I cant remember this one without hearing it. Hell I need to finish of this collection up to 1989 so if I remember I will update the thread in the future

I am not a Anthrax fan but I love the intro to the song

Anyone a Jewel or Martina McBride Fan?
hardrock80srule replied to davesworld's topic in Other Music Styles
I could have helped out about a month ago but I was clearing out some cds and got rid of all them. About all I have left are Alabama(I have ever single cd accept for greatest hits that they released), reba, Brooks, and basically all they others are greatest hits from alittle bit of everyone. I never was a Jewel fan -
your favorite band and you!

Ac/Dc - No matter how many time times I listen I never get bored. The last GNR release I play daily and still think had it not been a exclusive to best buy would have had huge sales. I can also listen to any Twisted Sister, Wasp, Night Ranger, Quiet Riot, Survivor... Now I find myself putting together random cds with songs you just dont ever hear anymore. Slade/Runaway-Don Henley/Dirty Laundry-Reo Speedwagon/In Your Letter - Manfred Mann/Runner - Tony Carey/Fine Fine Fine Day, ect. -
Interesting argument I got into

Good band with more than just one good song. I think I own everything of their's from the 80s. -

Take a breath.......... Ive been selling on ebay since 1998 and full time since 2002 and have already been through all the stages. First unless the feedback has something really bad in it like phone numbers or cuss words it wont be removed no matter what you do. Also even if they remove the comment the negative stays. Man just forget it about it and move on. Dont waste your time it would be a losing battle. As for what started this issue. If you take alook back through some of the old posts you will find many people here that also get upset when they receive a BMG or Columbia House issue that was not stated in listing . Actually I am curious if those people are gonna speak up. For the record I couldnt give a damn whether its Columbia house or not. I learned my lesson many years ago on ebay that you better know what your selling and make sure you give this information or else it leads to this problem you are having. The negative is not a big deal. Most people buying really could care less and alot never even look at the feedback. If they want something they just buy it. Half the time they dont even read the description. -
Be Prepared for some of the most off the wall questions. I saw a news article the other day about employers(remember this aint the 80s or 90s anymore) asking trick questions. More of a personal interview if you ask me. Nothing to do with previous work experience. They want to see how you react and respond.

Twisted Sister to reissue UNDER THE BLADE

This ones for me. The DVD alone does it for me -
Wal-Mart is very strict on how many hours you get. If you go over even 1 minute you are subject to a write up. My wife sometimes works a register which is notorious for causing you to go over in minutes. Cure either extend lunch hour through week to offset it or what ever it takes to make it even out There schedules now are found also on the internet and I am assuming in the store were they work. Now keep in mind my wife has never mentioned someone changing the schedule but everyweek her hours are changed. They are never the same.
