  1. As was mentioned, there are some similarities between many of our top 10 picks, so at first glance it can seem like only a handful of standouts. There are a few choices (like H.E.A.T.) that didn't click for me, but I've also found a few that I hadn't heard and ended up really enjoying. Plus the lists that Dan and the guys will be posting are bound to have some albums that no one else selected.
  2. I like it, not your typical song structure. During some parts the vocalist reminded me a little of Mats Leven while the guitarist has a somewhat similar playing style to Zakk Wylde.
  3. I've always liked their debut and I think I have demo versions of most of these songs on a cdr. From what I recall, the band had just replaced the original singer and recorded them for their 2nd album back in the early '90's.
  4. Better than I was expecting, nice tune
  5. Nice album, as you noted it was unfortunate that the band broke up. It would have been great to hear more music from them.
  6. I've seen their name mentioned before, but I've never heard any of their prior releases. These songs for their upcoming album all sound pretty good to me.
  7. Glad to see the band is working on new material. They always displayed a fun sense of humor and that still shows in this press release. Dirty Weapons was my fave, but their other releases were solid too.
  8. I doubt this will sound anything like the debut, which was one of my favorites from 1990, but I still look forward to hearing what they come up with.
  9. Legendary heavy metal band Judas Priest returns with their 18th studio album Firepower scheduled to be released in March. 1 - Firepower 2 - Lightning Strike 3 - Evil Never Dies 4 - Never the Heroes 5 - Necromancer 6 - Children of the Sun 7 - Guardians 8 - Rising from Ruins 9 - Flame Thrower 10 - Spectre 11 - Traitors Gate 12 - No Surrender 13 - Lone Wolf 14 - Sea of Red First Single/Video:
  10. I agree with prior comments about the really bad album artwork and odd band name. Decent tune, but I was expecting better.
  11. ...I'll give Marq credit for trying something different, but I'd rather listen to the tune released by the former Bulletboys members (Lies, Deceit & Treachery), which interestingly had a similar song title.
  12. Nice pick once again. I bought this on vinyl years ago. Pretty good album with the song Cherry Bay being my favorite track. Years later I finally heard the Japanese version. That is the version to get, in my opinion, as it has two of the band's best songs (Burning Through The Night and My Way) on it. Both of which were left off the U.S. release . Hopefully this will get reissued again, but with all tracks from both versions included, as the copies of the Japanese version I've come across were rather expensive.
  13. Very cool, I hadn't heard about the reissue, long overdue. Thanks for sharing the info. I'll be placing my order.
  14. Agreed, style is similar to their debut and singer seems like a good fit. I'm stoked that they are back with new material, solid tune, but it falls a bit short if I compare it to my favorite tracks from the band
  15. That one is really rare. I only recall seeing it once on Ebay, a few years back, and I believe the bidding was over $300
  16. Nice choice. I bought this on cassette back in '88 after hearing the song Power Love and wore that tape out over the years. I wish someone would reissue this on cd.
  17. Pontus? I am figuring it is someone other than Pontus Norgren as he is quite a bit older than anyone pictured.
