  1. Johnny Horton - Comanche (The Brave Horse). This one is really old school. "Comanche", BTW, was the name of General Custer's horse. I love the way the "beat" slows then stops at the end to signify his death. I loved this track when I was little.
  2. Well said mate. Like you, I was a bit disappointed that someone complained to Dan. I'm hoping they were "non regulars".
  3. I'm stunned by this.
  4. Another one I've posted before, but it deserves to be in this thread. As i've stated previously, this is an a cappella group and every sound you hear is done vocally. Mind blowing talent! This is another great example of "Dark Country".
  5. Good to hear it mate. I look forward to enjoying and not commenting on many more of your threads as always. I think i've mentioned it before, but just because there isn't a comment, doesn't mean it wasn't appreciated.
  6. This quote in regards to Stefan is 100% SPOT ON! He's the backbone of this site.
  7. I've always loved "The Cult" and they have some great tracks. I do however, have a soft spot for this one. Another band that's hard to define. I would classify them as Hard Rock, but I reckon they're borderline Sleaze. Very much like "Aerosmith".
  8. I'm still waiting for the album. I don't know what the fuck happened with these guys, but this track is a cracker.
  9. That's a shock. Rest In Peace mate. I posted my two favorite Phil Naro tracks not long ago, but here they are again.
  10. Well, maybe not all my posts here will be old school. I do love me a bit of "Dark Country".
  11. A couple of Classics from a true Legend of the genre. I did say my posts here were gonna be predominantly old school.
  12. I agree. There must be something Dan could add to your profile that shows you're a proud recipient of that badge of honor, "one warning point". Your efforts need to be acknowledged. I bow to you Sir. ....but not in a "Geoff" way.
  13. You lucky Bastard!
  14. Robert Tepper is known for two songs TBH, but what songs they are! "No Easy Way Out" is, of course Legendary, but this one isn't too far behind.
  15. Just as a post script, I was wondering how you managed to miscalculate your post count?
  16. You know, this site is a lot of things to a lot of people. We all have different reasons for posting, but the love of the same music is something we all have in common and is why we all found this place. I may not agree with everything you post, but I don't have to. If racking up a large post count is your thing, then good on you. Just remember....
  17. Nice thread idea. My posts are gonna be predominantly old school.

That's crazy shit, especially considering that your comment seems to be the narrative that these bullshit corporations are touting at the moment. I never have and never will have a Facebook page. They did you a favor mate.
  19. Paul Sabu is another great "Hired Gun" that rarely disappoints.
  20. I really believe that this is the best thing George Lynch has done in years. Pure "Lynch Mob" ST vibe. Apparently "Lynch Mob" is no more, but if he concentrates on more output from this project, then I'll be very hsppy.
  21. Yeah, he was underrated as a performer due to "The Partridge Family" stigma, even though "I Think I Love You" was hugely popular and I think held some sort of record. It's a shame, but I think in his younger years in particular, he did very, very, well with the Ladies, so fuck him.
  22. A couple from "Quarterflash". These guys were going to be the "next big thing" at the time, yet faded into obscurity. Early 80s Female fronted AOR with plenty of sax. What's not to love?
  23. Two great tracks from their last couple of albums with "Dagfinn Joensen" on vocals. Strange name, great vocals. I love the little vocal hook in the chorus of "Bridges Are Burning".
