  1. I'm sure we're all aware of the Toni Basil version, but I just found out today that it was a cover. Amazing. "Racey" were great BTW and had some great hits.
  2. Very old school, very soft, very great.....very Satanic?
  3. Interesting, I'll have to keep a look out.
  4. A couple of old school Aussie AOR tracks. John Swan is the older brother of Jimmy Barnes and the lead vocalist of "Swanee". These two tracks were very popular down here in the early 80s I've posted "Temporary Heartache" before. It's one of those time machine tracks that takes me right back there.
  5. C'mon mate, that's his best material. What about Midday drunkposting?
  6. Great track. I've always loved this version also.
  7. I don't think Keith Urban gets enough credit down here. There hasn't been too many other non Americans to have such an impact on the US Country Music scene.
  8. Complaining to Dan about someone via DM's is very Fucking weak IMO. I hope Cody reconsiders.
  9. I can't stop listening to those tracks. Hopefully this album should be big.
  10. A couple from the killer "Roxy Blue" debut. One of my favourite albums that I think may be generally underrated.
  11. When it comes to press releases, a lot of bands these days "talk the talk" when it comes to capturing the 80s. These guys definitely "walk the walk". Can't wait for this one.
  12. Spot on. Pretty much anything without "Priest" in the name.
  13. Killer stuff, but I think he's doing himself a disservice with the Band name.
  14. Juice Newton - Queen of Hearts. I can't begin to tell you how big this song was for me in '81, when I was 9.
  15. When I was a youngster in school I was devastating at coining "Nick Names". No offense Rob, but if we went to school together, you would always be known as "Rob Grabcock".
  16. I'm finding myself in not only a Country mood, but also a Western mood. When it comes to old school/new school transition, Mid 80s Dwight Yoakam was as good as it gets.
  17. Yeah, I've always felt that Country music from all eras has never been that far removed from the music that we all love in some form.
  18. What do you think of this one from 1983? An old school classic, but not as old as my previous posts. Ronnie Milsap was a legendary artist at the time. A blind Country music Pianist/Vocalist. I've always loved this track.
  19. This is genre that I love, but I'm not as up to date as I should be with the recent stuff, so I'm gonna stick with the old school shit I grew up with. This is a Country song for sure, but Gene Pitney was more of a Pop artist at the time. Had some Legendary tracks. BTW, if you haven't seen the movie, then do so immediately!
  20. Agreed. I'm enjoying your contributions to all the "Song of the Day" threads mate. BTW, to all the youngsters out there, this is the way to build your post count.
  21. She also appeared in my favourite TV show of all time.
  22. One of my favourite Tony Martin tracks. The Ian Parry stuff on this album is great also.
  23. "Bachelor Party" will always be one of my favourite movies of all time.
