  1. I can't stop listening to those tracks. Hopefully this album should be big.
  2. A couple from the killer "Roxy Blue" debut. One of my favourite albums that I think may be generally underrated.
  3. When it comes to press releases, a lot of bands these days "talk the talk" when it comes to capturing the 80s. These guys definitely "walk the walk". Can't wait for this one.
  4. Spot on. Pretty much anything without "Priest" in the name.
  5. Killer stuff, but I think he's doing himself a disservice with the Band name.
  6. Juice Newton - Queen of Hearts. I can't begin to tell you how big this song was for me in '81, when I was 9.
  7. When I was a youngster in school I was devastating at coining "Nick Names". No offense Rob, but if we went to school together, you would always be known as "Rob Grabcock".
  8. I'm finding myself in not only a Country mood, but also a Western mood. When it comes to old school/new school transition, Mid 80s Dwight Yoakam was as good as it gets.
  9. Yeah, I've always felt that Country music from all eras has never been that far removed from the music that we all love in some form.
  10. What do you think of this one from 1983? An old school classic, but not as old as my previous posts. Ronnie Milsap was a legendary artist at the time. A blind Country music Pianist/Vocalist. I've always loved this track.
  11. This is genre that I love, but I'm not as up to date as I should be with the recent stuff, so I'm gonna stick with the old school shit I grew up with. This is a Country song for sure, but Gene Pitney was more of a Pop artist at the time. Had some Legendary tracks. BTW, if you haven't seen the movie, then do so immediately!
  12. Agreed. I'm enjoying your contributions to all the "Song of the Day" threads mate. BTW, to all the youngsters out there, this is the way to build your post count.
  13. She also appeared in my favourite TV show of all time.
  14. One of my favourite Tony Martin tracks. The Ian Parry stuff on this album is great also.
  15. "Bachelor Party" will always be one of my favourite movies of all time.
  16. Johnny Horton - Comanche (The Brave Horse). This one is really old school. "Comanche", BTW, was the name of General Custer's horse. I love the way the "beat" slows then stops at the end to signify his death. I loved this track when I was little.
  17. Well said mate. Like you, I was a bit disappointed that someone complained to Dan. I'm hoping they were "non regulars".
  18. I'm stunned by this.
  19. Another one I've posted before, but it deserves to be in this thread. As i've stated previously, this is an a cappella group and every sound you hear is done vocally. Mind blowing talent! This is another great example of "Dark Country".
  20. Good to hear it mate. I look forward to enjoying and not commenting on many more of your threads as always. I think i've mentioned it before, but just because there isn't a comment, doesn't mean it wasn't appreciated.
  21. This quote in regards to Stefan is 100% SPOT ON! He's the backbone of this site.
  22. I've always loved "The Cult" and they have some great tracks. I do however, have a soft spot for this one. Another band that's hard to define. I would classify them as Hard Rock, but I reckon they're borderline Sleaze. Very much like "Aerosmith".
