Is that really a thing? Maybe I missed it, but I don't think I've heard anything like that.

Pretty much the opposite of what he's saying and doing now. He's not a strong Leader, never has been and Countries like Russia with Leaders like Putin are more than willing to take advantage of that. As for what he should specifically be saying or doing, I have no idea and I don't think anything he could have done would've averted this. It was a done deal once he won the election.

This one's gotta be right up there.

How the fuck has America become so weak? All I can say is that it's lucky Russia decided to invade Ukraine instead of the US. Basically Red Dawn without Patrick Swayze and that's not good. (Wolverines!) Bring on '24 and the return of Trump. It's gonna happen. Metal T mentioned buyers remorse regarding the Biden administration. I think the midterms will reflect that 100%.

I've posted this one before in the covers thread, but it belongs here as well. A KILLER cover that slays the original IMO. I consider us all as "Rock N Roll Outlaws". Pump this one up!!!

Unlikely Celebrities that have released Great tracks.

This one is by no means a great track, but very unlikely. I remember when this song was released and thinking "WTF?". -

A new one featuring "Keel". Great stuff. -
No. You're not.

Actually, this question has shown how pathetic our stand up comedy roster is. There is of course, Hannah Gadsby. I'm sure Cody would love her. She's very easy on the eyes as well.

Yeah, Micky Flanagan is great. This is a good clip. We don't really have any controversial stand ups down here. I guess you could say Jim Jeffries, but I'm not really a fan. Go back to the 80s and there were a few including Col Elliott and the Legendary Rodney Rude, but they were more "dirty" than controversial.

Also a favourite of mine. I'm interested.

"House of Lords" have remained very solid over the years IMO. Having said that, their first three albums are by far their best. Here's one from each.

James Gunns Peacemaker playlist on Spotify

Maybe when I was your age, but I'm too much of an old fart now to go to gigs. 100% get your point though. -

I was thinking the same thing. "What goes around, comes around". We could be on the verge of a resurgence of our music in the mainstream. Stranger things have happened. Although, I have to say that I enjoy the fact that our music is quite niche and not know to many. Just the chosen few. -
Yep. Rockaholic for me as well. Favourite track is of course, "Dusty's Revenge".

Yeah, when it comes to being AWESOME! Nailed it.

What about the LFL? The Greatest form of the game. IMO.

I'm trying to think of a witty reply, but the beers are kicking in. I'll get back to you.

The Mother Rockers - Canada's answer to Steel Panther
Darkstone replied to whiplash1972's topic in Music Videos
Steel Panther own this genre and always will. -
Even though I have many, if not all in digital form, I'm not familiar enough with them to also select a favourite track, so I'll abstain and that also includes other years I haven't commented on. Also, a big thank you to Auslander. Great threads mate.

Great riffage! Thanks for the heads up DP. Been a fan of these guys from back in the day and I've loved their recent incarnation.

I agree about covers adding a bit more to the original without reworking it to within an inch of its life. There are a few notable exceptions of course. Joe Cocker's "With a Little Help From my Friends" springs to mind. This version of "Love Gun" by "Stone Sour" is great, but as CTS said, ultimately, I'd rather listen to the original.

We get to knock off early, but yes, yes it does.
