As a result of the last 2 years, they well and truly know that when they say "jump", citizens "Worldwide" will say "How High?". Maybe the Worldwide response to Covid was some sort of trial run to see how much they could get away with. As it seems, quite a bit. As for who "They" are, I wouldn't have a clue, but I do know know that average Joe's like me and you all, are quite a fair way down the "food chain".

I'm guessing they named themselves after the Gotthard Pass in Switzerland, but i've never really know how to pronounce it. Is it Got-ard, Goth-ard or God-ard? I've always said God-ard.

I haven't seen that series, but the true story of "Oak Island" is fascinating. Shades of "Rennes Le Chateau". This video is a 2 hour deep dive, but as interesting as fuck.

Yeah. I leave for work well before "Today" or "Sunrise" (the other main Aussie morning show), but most mornings I watch the USA Today show, which is on here in the early hours. I used to flick between that and Good Morning America, but we don't get GMA here now. I miss Ginger Zee.

If he had doubled down after checking, then fair enough, but I honestly don't understand the controversy. Let me phrase the above paragraph differently. You made a comment.
