  1. Yes, very tough, especially the top 2 rows. I've gotta go with Dokken.
  2. That's the problem with a two party system. Same shit, different bucket. On the subject of Patriotism, I think being overly critical on the state of ones country and it's Government is the epitome of Patriotism. It's good to see that Canadians seem to have the support of the Military. Throughout history, Civil unrest, protests and Government upheaval have come to nothing without Military support. Just ask the OG JC. Unfortunately, at the moment down here, the Military and the Police Force are toeing the party line. The surreal experience of going through checkpoints on my way home from work manned by Police Officers and Soldiers requesting my official work permit and proof of address at the beginning of this shit will always stay with me.
  3. "Norman Gunston - KISS Army". I'm sure the name "Norman Gunston" (A.K.A. Gary McDonald) is fondly remembered by all the Aussies here. I actually had this 45 back in '80. I was 8, so thanks Mum! I remember the B-side was a parody of "Humdrum" from "Countdown", called "Normdrum". Only the Aussies will know what I'm talking about. I've included his press conference interview with "KISS" during their 1980 Aussie tour. Fast forward to the early 90s and "Norman" made a Glorious TV comeback. I've also posted his press conference interview with "Guns 'n Roses" from '93. Apparently that 90s comeback put a great toll on Gary's mental state and he suffered from huge anxiety attacks as a result, which was sad to hear.
  4. Just A Wish × 3. The "ISSA" version is nice. The "Far Corporation" version is great with "Robin McAuley" on vocals, but the "21 GUNS" version is my favourite for sure.
  5. We have the "Last movie you watched?" Thread, but it's not enough. This thread is about anything movie related. New trailers, classic scenes, favourite movies, soundtracks, interesting facts, whatever. I'll start with a recent retrospective on one of my alltime favourites. "The Adventures of Ford Fairlane". What a Legend the "Diceman" is. I was lucky enough to obtain most of his CDs back in the day, which I regrettably don't have now. I remember on one of them he gave a heckler the best comeback ever. "I fucked your Mother in the ass and she had you." GOLD!
  6. Paradise inc. The latest post from a great youtube channel I'm subscribed to called "Patrice AorMelodicRock". The interesting thing is that a lot of obscure stuff we talk about or post in the forum, frequently pops up here. Maybe a coincidence, or maybe Patrice is a member or guest?
  7. Spot on. A "Diplomatic boycott" means Fuck all.
  8. Just a comment on how ridiculous of a "sport" it is... and also, as you may have noticed, I like using the old "quotation marks". Putting the term quotation marks in quotation marks is pretty Meta BTW, you have to admit.
  9. There's a similar thing happening here, although there's zero mainstream media coverage about it. I've posted a few videos from "Avi Yemeni" and "Rebel News" before. In the current climate, I think that this very much qualifies as Aussie Patriotism. I wish I was a part of it.
  10. I loved "Winter Games" on the "Commodore 64" and "Steven Bradbury" is a legend. That's about it. If an Aussie is competing, I have a slight interest. Having said that, I found myself watching Australia vs China in "Curling" this afternoon. Interest subsiding.
  11. Firstly, I think that anybody reading this post has above average taste and appreciation of music. If I had a gun to my head, when it comes to musical taste here, I'd go with Stefan every time. Glen would be right up there and you wouldn't be too far away yourself mate. At the end of the day, everybody here has something to bring to the table. Except "nyoilers" of course, because ... well, you know. BTW, poking shit at "nyoilers" is another thing I love about this site. It's a great outlet. Thanks mate.
  12. One from last year that I missed. Thankfully there's a site on the Internet that posts annual best of lists when it comes to "our" music. I can't remember which one.
  13. I try, but It's so hard to keep track of everything and these lists are a nice bookend to the year. I inexplicably missed the "Big City" and "King Zebra" releases. As for who the "Winner" is, I think when it comes to these lists, we're all winners. That sounds as corny as fuck, but it's the truth.
  14. You're right about the "rarely" implication, but I love "Darkhorse".
  15. This one brought a smile to my face. Although, I wonder how friendly the dog would be if someone climbed through the window. When my Mum married my Step Dad I was about 5. He had stables at the time and two "guard" dogs. Two Red Heeler brothers, Bing and Bowe. Bing was the nicest, most gentle dog you would ever meet. Bowe was a fucking Psychopath. Bowe was the kind of dog that, if you walked past the property, no worries. If you attempted to enter the property, no worries. If you entered the property, no worries... but good luck getting out. I'm sure we've all had encounters with mad dogs over the years. I've had a few.
  16. They should've gone with the "Washington Dragons". That would have been "Grand" and it would compliment the "Wizards".
  17. That's a nice little '21 collection mate. It's 29 more than I bought. More than enough to qualify for membership to this site.
  18. Thanks guys! As always I look forward to immersing myself in the lists over the next few days.
  19. Don't worry mate. That ship has sailed. * *There's a dancing banana involved, so of course I'm having a laugh mate.
  20. Ahh... yes. I thought that point had been made clear throughout by those opposed to it.
