  1. Takes me back to a time of easy listening light hard rock. Nice song.
  2. Yup. Are you unfamiliar with the story of Desmond Doss? He survived WWII as a combat medic without firing a single bullet. The definition of a hero. OK, I'll give it a go.
  3. I wasn't sure I needed to see yet another was struggle film. Does it do something different?
  4. Deerek Davis - Revolutionary Sould. Because I am open to giving different music a go (sometimes) and this one was worth it. Quite a few catchy tunes...
  5. The Founder - The story of the creation of McDonald's. Was ok, just a story 'based' on a true story so you don't know what was exaggerated. Best part was Ron from Parks & Rec without his beard. Lion - the based on a true story of an Indiia born Australian who chases his memories to try and track down his paternal mother. Not bad. My wife made me watch this as part of the deal we made when she watched all of the Rocky movies with me. I still have a few movies to pay her back with. Million Dollar Baby - apparently was one of those that won lots of Oscars or something. Was ok, with a few twists and turns that were unexpected. Classic Eastwood direction
  6. OK, I feel like a bit of a dipship. I played my Cockroach CD and apparently I did get in to it and like it. Must have listened to the Paul Laine version and maybe assumed that the songs were from post Cockroach. Anyway, yes the songs you listed are good. There will always be songs you like better than me and vice versa. I just dig Turn It On. I know it's no Bohemian Rhapsody, but it's hooky and catchy and makes me wanna get up and party. I actually prefer Screw It! to S/T Don't really like Beat The Bullet, but I love Crazy Nights and Monkey Business Off S/T I don't like Rock America, and Naughty Naughty is only OK, but I like Bang Bang and One Step From Paradise Anyway, at least we can agree that Cockroach is a good album. I think I gave it a listen and didn't like it at all, then I must have pushed through that and forced some more listen until I liked it
  7. Illuminati confirmed! haha, not really just giving you shit because more often than not we disagree on many songs. I live S/T and Screw It! Remember I come from less of an AOR perspective, so while Feels Like Love and One Step From Paradise etc are awesome songs, and I love listening to them, the songs that really hook me in are the ones with harder edges, and Turn It On is a party anthem. For me it just tips out the others as a stand alone D2 song on a compilation..
  8. My Sebastian Bach book arrive all beat up and even water damaged. Ordered from Fishpond who drop shipped it from the UK Arrived in a thin cardboard wrapping which protected it in no way, so I sent it back for a refund and reordered from Booktopia. So now I wait longer....
  9. You probably won't like it. Dangerous Toys - Cure The Sane? I do like that song, obviously. I also like what it says. So many people trying to conform rather than being themselves. But for whatever reason, my favorite song is Until You Suffer Some by Poison Long story to do with the film clip and where i Was at that point in my life. But also the hooks and melodies etc Some others that are up there would be Believe - Stryper Love (I Don't Need It Anymore) - Union Halfway To Heaven - Eurpoe Take The Dog Off The Chain - Babylon AD Turn It On - Danger Danger Tales From The Boogieman - Jester You Are The One - Hair Of The Dog Wanna Be The One - Haywire Hard To Be A Rock'N Roller - Wig Wam Touch - Bad City Face Down - Hot Action Cop Love Song - Tesla Love Is A Lie - Great White So Easy - De Mont Stronger Now - Warrant I could go on, but I'll stop there and copy & paste that list to be the start of a new compilation disc. Can't remember the last time I went and made one of my favorite songs...
  10. I'm not a huge fan of this style, but I actually really like this CD. There is some really catchy stuff on it, just need a few listens. I would have rated my all time favorite song a 4 or 5 when I first heard it. After a few more listens obviously it's a 10 for me. Your absolute single favourite song of all time? Which one is that? You probably won't like it.
  11. Song games. LOTS of song games. Which only a couple of people participated in which made them redundant. They'd also kick out good songs before crap ones. eg: a bands hits singe would go out before song 1 on the disc which was "intro"and lasted 15 seconds
  12. I'm not a huge fan of this style, but I actually really like this CD. There is some really catchy stuff on it, just need a few listens. I would have rated my all time favorite song a 4 or 5 when I first heard it. After a few more listens obviously it's a 10 for me.
  13. Won't be for everyone here. Described as Soul/Funk/Rock Party music Guarantee most people here will prefer any of the songs below to anything off American Blitzkrieg New Babylon AD this year as well hopefully. 1 Revolutionary Soul 2 Rapture 3 Valerie 4 Think About It 5 Love and Abuse 6 Nobody Knows You When You're Down & Out 7 Vicious Heart 8 Woman's Gotta Have It 9 King of Fools 10 Picture of Love 11 Stop! Wait a Minute 12 All the Roads https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpQLSC1exGI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rN1BzzMocFA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdXHCe_IlYk
  14. I've heard it once and wasn't very impressed. Hopefully it grows on me as well.
  15. Great song - great clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_l4Ab5FRwM
  16. I read Geoff's comment before I listened to the song, and it was pretty much as he described. But by the second verse, it wasn;t as bad. I think I'm annoyed more by the way he says "Johanna" I'll give it a few more listens. I think it will grow on me....
  17. Best female sung songs I've heard since Halestorm. In fact I think I prefer this to Halestorm. I'm gonna check more of this out.
  18. Sounds ok but very generic. Maybe 10 or more years ago I'd have been more interested. The singers tone is kinda annoying to me, which is strange because he sounds like Juno Roxas. In fact I'd describe the band as a cross between Roxus and DiAnno.
  19. Interesting how different people like different songs instantly. Probably some songs that you liked instantly that needed to grow on me.
  20. I like Blackie ballads. Some other bands can't really do them well, like TS (except for The Price)
  21. Here's what I think. my rating system is a bit more straight forward 1 Sign Of The Times – Took a couple of listens, but I quite like this one - GOOD 2 She Moves Me - meh - AVERAGE/WEAK 3 Crazy – OK, probably grow on me a bit I guess - AVERAGE 4 Love Don’t Live Here - the best song. Most like great white - GREAT 5. My Addiction - I like this one, kind of reminds me of vampire type music. What you’d expect on Lost Boys etc - GREAT 6. Anything For You – a nice little ballad. Nothing new or exciting. Not a song you’d probably want to whack on a disc with other songs unless they were all like this. - AVERAGE 7. He Saw It Comin’ – Kinda funky, a bit Beatlesque possibly at times. I like it at times, then Jack sings “he saw it comin’” over and over and kills the song - AVERAGE 8. Don’t Let Me Go – Another funky song. I like this done much more than the last. - GOOD 9. Spy Vs Spy – It’s ok, may grow on me - AVERAGE 10. Blame It On The Night – meh - AVERAGE/WEAK 11. Godspeed – What the hell? Run out of songs much? I get what he’s trying to do, but Billy Joel did it already 30 years ago. - WEAK
