  1. That drummer sure pounds those drums.... lol Not a bad song. Goes to show you're never too old to act and dress like a 1980's 20 year old
  2. I like the second song posted much more. And for those who don't like censorship... FREE THE NIPPLE (just so Geoff can give the song another go ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-umDKKUDmM
  3. Logan Lucky. Not bad. Seth McFarlaine wasn't in it as much as I thought, and Hilary Swank's character was terrible (as was her acting) Unlikely I'll watch it again, but I enjoyed it.
  4. Nice cameo from Jesse James Dupree there. Shame the nipples were blurred out - surely this isn't an issue these days. They had a song a couple of years ago that was killer - Get A Little This song is pretty damn good as well. Nice pub rock
  5. I really like 5 or 6 songs off the album. Not going to try and qualify it. Seems most here hate it, Different strokes...
  6. Yeah that's pretty fucking good. Looking forward to this one
  7. Gonna see them both. I'ma Tom fan, and Wesley Snipes is good most of the time. passenger 57
  8. Love me some Bobaflex but I don't like that song (or the original)
  9. Would be a lot better without the piano tapping throughout. I can imagine it with some really heavy guitar chords and being pretty great. As it stands it's OK, not sure if it will grow on me. Sometimes it's the songs you don't like on the first listen that you either start to really like, or learn to not hate.
  10. Didn't see it all. Was on late when I was using the TV to drift to sleep. It worked lol I'll try to catch it. Saw Dial M for Murder the other night for the first time. Was pretty good.
  11. I saw some of the original Dunkirk the other night. Made in the late 50's from memory. Was a completely different story about a group of men who's leader dies and they don't know where everyone was retreating to. From what I saw I'd enjoy it far more than this recent movie...
  12. I just picked this one up last week and have listened a couple of times. I've never been a massive Mr.Big fan, just your average run of the mill fan who likes some of the songs, but I've never gone out and desperately waited on a new album. Never even made a best of mix of their stuff. So I went in with a pretty open mind, and I really like it. Good light rock with lots of hooks and melodies. Well produced, voice sounds good. Sad that everyone here except Peter seems to hate it. I wonder if everyone listened to the whole album, or just a few posted songs? 1992 is one of the worse songs on the disc for me.
  13. As long as its nothing like the last one and goes back to style of the last few before it +1
  14. Most will probably hate this. Not sure if I've posted it before, but I heard it again the other day and it was for sure my song of the day. One of the few cookie monster vocal songs I like. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_1v_vtoZy8
  15. WOW Interesting how people can have such different opinions on songs. I love them both, particularly the second one.
  16. With Doc or Dave? I saw them at A Day On The Green a couple of years ago with Dave Gleeson and I was shocked at how much better they were than the last time I saw them with Doc at the Middle. Having said that, obviously they were on their last legs and Doc may have already been ill then. Years and years ago I saw them many times with Doc and they were great. Rocktober, Myer Music Bowl
  17. I love that album. Bubblegum rock I'ma gonna call it
  18. 62 songs? Wow. Mine would be half that. I do like Great White. I find that their songs for me are generally easy on the ears, even if they aren't spectacular.
  19. Saw Dunkirk tonight. Weird movie. I didn't really see a story as such, more like a snippet from a bigger picture. All the time changes annoyed the hell out of me and made it impossible to follow. Most of the actors looked the same and it was hard to tell who was who and what was happening. More like a documentary with Hollywood production rather than a movie, and there's nothing wrong with that, but i kinda wish I knew going in, and I would have waited to watch it at home. Way overrated for me.
  20. Just grabbed some tix to Rose Tattoo/The Angels at the Palms Crown in Melbourne. Not cheap at $75 each but what the hell. I really enjoyed the Angels last time I saw them and I've never seen the Tatts I saw the email come through and went straight to the site and managed to get front row centre, so I guess that makes the price fair.
  21. Not sure if this has been posted yet. THE ANGELS BROTHERS, ANGELS & DEMONS Out August 4, 2017 through Liberation Music “They went on to become one of the bands that changed Australian music for ever” – Jimmy Barnes This is it, folks, over the top! It’s a hell of a story. And now it’s all on one massive album – Brothers, Angels & Demons. This is a must-have for Angels fans, a collection of favourites and rarities, with nearly 50 years of music, starting with the Moonshine Jug & String Band, and also featuring choice cuts from The Angels’ chart-topping years with Doc Neeson, gems from the BrewsterBrothers repertoire, plus some cracking tracks from the recent line-up of The Angels, with Dave Gleeson on vocals and John Brewster’s son, Sam, on bass. “We’ve survived all these years and gone on to make new music – something we can be proud of,” John Brewster says. Brothers, Angels & Demons coincides with the publication of the first Angels book, The Angels (through Penguin Random House), written by Bob Yates with Rick and John Brewster, featuring a foreword by award-winning author Jimmy Barnes. Barnesy recalls the early days in Adelaide when Cold Chisel did gigs with the band then known as the Keystone Angels. He saw them become one of the greatest Australian bands of all time. “Powerful, aggressive and joyous,” Jimmy writes. “If you wanted to show an example of great Australian pub rock then The Angels were it.” Brothers, Angels & Demons, a 36-song collection, was curated by John and Rick Brewster, the backbone of the band. The album concludes with the last songs recorded by the classic Brewster/Neeson/Brewster/Bailey/Bidstrup line-up, at the “Symphony of Angels” show in Adelaide in 2010. “A great legacy,” John states proudly. And a fitting tribute to the Angels who are no longer with us – Doc Neeson and Chris Bailey. “It’s been an amazing journey,” John says. “A story of family, lots of good times and some bad … Brothers, Angels & Demons.” DISC ONE Whitewash Station (Moonshine String and Jug band) Save Me Some (Moonshine String and Jug band) My Gal (Moonshine String and Jug band) If You’re A Viper (Moonshine String and Jug band) Do It Again (Brewster Bros) She (Brewster Bros) Lives Of Grace (Brewster Bros) Shadows Fall (Brewster Bros) Passing Through (Brewster Bros) Engine of The World (Brewster Bros) Waiting For The Sun (The Angels with Dave Gleeson) Wounded Healer (The Angels with Dave Gleeson) There Comes A Time (The Angels with Dave Gleeson) Talk The Talk (The Angels with Dave Gleeson) I Come In Peace (The Angels with Dave Gleeson) Call That Living (The Angels with Dave Gleeson) Can’t Shake It (The Angels with Dave Gleeson) DISC TWO Night Comes Early (The Angels) Alexander (The Angels) I’m Scared (The Angels) Back On You (The Angels) Into The Heat (The Angels) Shoot It Up (The Angels) Easy Prey (The Angels) Man There (The Angels) When The Time Comes (The Angels) Movin’ On (The Angels) Soul Surgeon (The Angels) Invisible Man (The Angels) World Stops Turning (The Angels) Strait Jacket (Symphony of The Angels) Outcast (Symphony of The Angels) Dawn Is Breaking (Symphony of The Angels) Skidrow After Dark (Symphony of The Angels) Love Takes Care (Symphony of The Angels) Fashion and Fame (Symphony of The Angels)
  22. Came in 56 for me. I tend to agree with your comments about Europe these days. Last great thing Joey Tempest did was his first solo album which is my 10th favorite album of all time. Stryper are the same for me. Michael Sweet also 'jumped the shark' after his first solo album
  23. Movies are taking a back seat to Game Of Thrones and Aussie Survivor. Was going to try and see Baby Driver tonight but feeling a bit off and decided to stay home. Still have the last 20 minutes of Chips to watch. It put me to sleep lol
  24. I like that one a lot as well. This is turning out to be one of the releases of the year
