  1. H.e.a.t's Freedom Rock and Dynazty's Knock You Down are two albums that I can think of with alternate Japanese mixes.
  2. I've been rather impressed with Rod Stewart's new album, Time. It's his first album of original material in over a decade and he co-wrote almost all of the songs. I'm only a casual fan, so I don't know if it hits the mark or not for his hardcore fans, but I think that it's a winner. There are some really cheerful songs and also some sad or reflective numbers that are rather touching. Good stuff, if you're into this kind of thing.
  3. I heard a song yesterday. I feel like I should know it, or at least know who does it, but I don't think that I do. The chorus went something like, "Anytime I wanna, every time I'm gonna" (I think that I might be wrong about the last word or two). The singer sounded like Udo Dirkschneider, but the song sounded too commercial to be Accept or his solo material, and I haven't found anything online about any Accept song with those words. Do any of my rock brethren know what song I'm talking about?
  4. A couple of things... I liked this album when it came out, but I came to really love it just recently. "No Time To Lose Ya" and "Time Of Our Lives" are probably my two favorites. "L.A. No Name" is a really cool instrumental and one that definitely holds the interest of a non-musician like myself. Speaking of Jeff Watson, does anyone know what he's been up to?
  5. Freedom Rock is what really made me a fan. I had heard some songs from the debut and thought that they were good, but I wasn't totally in love. I don't think that I checked out Freedom Rock until Address The Nation was about to come out or maybe already out. Freedom Rock is still my favorite.
  6. Interesting. I'm a huge KISS fan and I like Brighton Rock, but this one is a little odd.
  7. Not bad. I feel like it could be a pretty cool album track. If they can make more songs as good or better, I'd be curious.
  8. They released a lot of great stuff and then seemed to go on hiatus. My best guess is that there's just not enough money in a niche of a niche. I hope that I'm wrong and that they continue at some point.
  9. Yes, I do agree with that!
  10. Yeah, the album cover isn't for me, but I still have high hopes for the album.
  11. day of the dead? its more a voodoo vibe isnt it?? what do I know ??! lol I'm no expert. Day Of The Dead, voodoo...not quite my vibe. But I think that it'll be another great album. They're one of my favorite current bands and they haven't let me down so far.
  12. I just saw that they posted the album cover. I'm not really a fan of it (I've never liked Day of the Dead imagery), but I'm still looking forward to the album.
  13. The samples sound good. I'll have to hear more to decide how good, but this sounds like it will be a solid, enjoyable album. I definitely like that these guys are back and making new music.
  14. Cool! It'll be nice to get these songs all together.
  15. Thanks for the review, Nightrain. I still need to check this one out.
  16. They made a lyric video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpdCfnA5pt0&feature=youtu.be
  17. It's a lousy industry-wide practice that's been going on for longer than I care to remember. As a huge KISS fan, this one is worth it to me, but I don't like it when any artist does it. I've actually started waiting 6-12 months to buy a lot of new releases, just in case a reissue comes out shortly down the line.
  18. I plan to buy this one. I'm a sucker for fun party rock.
  19. Richie was in the band from 1999 to 2002. He was on Get Over It and Actual Size.
  20. That's pretty much how I feel. Eliminator may have higher highs, but Afterburner is just 10 great songs and my favorite ZZ Top album.
  21. Well, it's been about eight months and there hasn't been a ton of activity, but after reviewing their website and their Facebook page, it looks like they have been recording, have played some shows, and have put out some new merchandise.
  22. I voted for Down For The Count, but with as good as their albums are, a lot of them are way up there. Their albums from 1981 to 1990 are virtually untouchable.
  23. This one continues to get a lot of plays from me. It's one of my favorites over the past half year or so, actually.
  24. From Reckless Love's Facebook page: "Our next album, entitled Spirit, will see the light of day 30th August! Check out the tour dates so far. Plenty more to come... In other news, Animal Attraction has been certified Gold in Finland!! HUGE thanks to everyone who purchased the album!!!!" https://www.facebook.com/RecklessLove
  25. Welcome! Y&T is hugely underrated! You belong here for sure. I've been fortunate to see them a handful of times here in the Chicago area over the past seven years.
