I'm the only person in the world who thinks so, but I think that Freedom Rock is by far H.e.a.t's best album. -
Def Leppard considering legal action over new One Direction song
Deuce replied to Captain Howdy's topic in AOR and Hard Rock
I really don't hear it enough for this to be any sort of issue. There have been songs over the years that are way closer to "Pour Some Sugar On Me" than this one. -
His solo album, Highway, is on YouTube. I've known of it for years, but I've never actually listened to it. I should, because I definitely love the songs that he co-wrote with KISS. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUCAdrTzJYQ&list=PL433873271FF40F36

I think that their debut album is generally considered to be their best. For me, it's really close between the debut and Animal Attraction. I like Spirit, but it's not quite as high for me.
-
What a masterpiece that was and still is. It's what made me a fan of the band and I listened to it relentlessly for a year or two. Few albums have ever hooked me as much.
-
Sounds like one to check out.

New song and lyric video from these guys. I like what I'm hearing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Znf8h80RTFo

You've made good points, Captain Howdy. I think we can agree that it's a shame that many talented bands have to struggle for funding and never earn what they deserve.
-
There is no record label, hence the reason they do this. If there is no funding then there is no album. Those are two of my biggest points right there. There used to be an entire industry to make music happen. Now it's getting to a point where it's up to a select few people who really care to act as investors or it won't happen at all. That's why it's very sad that it's come to this. I understand some of the positive points. Bands have more control, fans feel involved, etc. But it hardly outweighs the old way. You mentioned that bands can keep more of the money now, but there's no way that artists are making anywhere close to the income that they were making when there was a real business behind them. One of the worst things is that new talent won't be fostered. Fans may be willing to invest in bands that they already know, but a new band that nobody knows about will have a very difficult time explaining why people should spend their money ahead of time.

I'm not at all singling out this band, who I'm a big fan of, but I hate that we the fans must now serve as the financial department of the record label these days. There have been so many of these campaigns lately on sites like Kickstarter, PledgeMusic, Indiegogo, etc. Some fans might be honored to help, some people might consider it a fresh new alternative, but it's really just depressing when you truly think about the reason things are this way now. Back to being positive, JettBlack rocks and I'm glad that they're making another album.

From Curran's Facebook within the last hour: *UPDATE* THE ALBUM IS FINISHED!!!!!!!! We've had to delay its release by a week due to a couple things we are working on behind the scenes (Promo/Tour etc.). We truly want to deliver the BEST product possible and we THANK YOU for your patience with us....TRUST US when we tell you , it will be worth it!!!! PLEASE keep checking back here all week for updates!!!! Still unclear if they'll be putting out a real release or not. "My Love Won't Let You Down" is a strong song and I'd like to hear more.

Their new album, Sweet Salvation, is supposed to be released next year. The song is okay, but not really grabbing me.
-
I'm a Daughtry fan, but "Long Live Rock & Roll" is not sitting well with me. Why couldn't it have been a rock song? Why would you sing "long live big guitars" in a song with no big guitars? It's an acoustic, campfire type of song, which I enjoy, but I feel like this one came together all wrong. My friend said it best, this sounds like a funeral for rock music.

No, you can buy the real thing here: http://stationnyc.bandcamp.com/album/wired

Great EP. I definitely hope that they release a full album soon.
-
I'm really liking this one. I might like it more than the debut as well.
-
Yes, they used to be in Roselle, IL, pretty close to me. They were in one location for years and then moved down the road for a few years, but then they moved to Colorado.
-
I hate to say it, but with all of these different versions, I'm going to be waiting to buy this album.
-
I thought the same thing. That line is pretty silly, and you get it three times, but that might be my favorite song from the album.
-
Have fun! Thanks for the Reckless Love songs.
