  1. The 80's here in Baltimore were fucking amazing. I often wish I had been born just a few years earlier. In the mid 80's through about 1992, the music scene here was KILLER. We had so many rock clubs with live music. Every night I was with friends at a different club to see so many of these amazing talented bands. It was like living in LA or NY. But as soon as grunge hit, it was all gone. One by one, clubs started closing left and right. The ones who remained (even the legendary HAMMERJACKS) turned in rap/hip-hop clubs. It was sickening and very depressing. From 1985-1992...... the best of times.
  2. I'm 47. Can we be friends?
  3. They were surprisingly good at M3 last year.
  4. why oh why is your hole so wide I tried and tried even used astroglide but it's so loose I nearly cried and cried found out that she took a horse inside she went for a pony ride, a pony ride.
  5. Oh and I forgot to add, Damon threatened them not to post online about his deception and thievery.
  6. It's really upsetting. The Turney's are really good people. Sounds like they got taken for a ride by Damon.
  7. They are reuniting for that show but it's unclear if it's a full-fledged reunion with new music on the horizon. I guess we will see.

GUNS Signs With GOLDEN ROBOT RECORDS; New Album Due In The Spring November 8, 2019 29 Comments AddThis Sharing Buttons Share to Facebook FacebookShare to TwitterTwitterShare to PinterestPinterestShare to RedditRedditShare to More More20 Steve Riley's version of L.A. GUNS has inked a deal with Golden Robot Records. The band will enter the studio later this month to record a new album for a tentative spring 2020 release. In other news, Riley's L.A. GUNS has signed with New Breed Management and the Bigg Time Entertainment Inc. booking agency. The group said in a statement: "We are very grateful for this opportunity and we want to thank you all for your support throughout the years. Also we are looking forward to seeing you all on tour in 2020." This version of L.A. GUNS made its live debut this past May at the M3 Rock Festival. The drummer is joined in the group by Orlando, Florida-based guitarist/vocalist Kurt Frohlich, bassist Kelly Nickels (a member of L.A. GUNS' "classic" incarnation) and guitarist Scott Griffin (who played bass for the band from 2007 until 2009, and then again from 2011 to 2014). M3 was the first time ever that an L.A. GUNS performance did not feature singer Phil Lewis or guitarist Tracii Guns, who are currently playing together in their own version of the band. A dozen years ago, Frohlich was recruited to front a second incarnation of FASTER PUSSYCAT by three of the group's original members, who were unhappy with both the musical direction of the band and singer Taime Downe's "drunk and erratic performances." At the time, bassist Eric Stacy said that the Frohlich-fronted FASTER PUSSYCAT would perform the band's songs "the way they were written and recorded." Soon after a European tour in the spring of 2007, the second version of FASTER PUSSYCAT disbanded. The Downe-fronted version of the group continues to tour regularly to this day. Frohlich has also played with Marky Ramone and a group called THE UNDERGROUND REBELS. He performs acoustically in the greater Orlando area on a regular basis. Riley is the longest-tenured member of L.A. GUNS, a group he joined shortly before the release of their 1988 self-titled debut. (While he is pictured on the album, he did not actually perform on it.) Although the band has famously featured more than 50 members in its ranks through the years, with the exception of a two-year period in the early 1990s, Riley was the sole constant from 1987 until the end of 2016, when the group that he and Lewis managed to keep alive for nearly 15 years without founding guitarist Guns (who quit the band in 2002, on the eve of the release of their acclaimed album "Waking The Dead") dissolved. Since then, Lewis and Guns — who, after years of acrimony, buried the hatchet in 2016 — have forged ahead as L.A. GUNS while Riley focused on other projects. The Guns-Lewis version of L.A. GUNS released a new album, "The Devil You Know", in March via Frontiers Music Srl.
  10. Nope. It appears on Phil/Tracii's L.A. Guns tour schedule.
  11. Some of those choruses just embed themselves in your brain.
  12. Another thing to consider is that most of these bands are a shell of their former selves. A lot of them might only have 1 original member. So it's not like Tyketto firing on all cylinders in 1990..... it's Tyketto 2019 with only Danny and Michael left. Not even near the same band.
  13. Loved when they just had that bay area thrash sound. They were pretty badass.
  14. Those vocals are terrible. Song isn't too bad.
  15. My best friend is that way. Huge lover of 80's hard rock and metal. But he has no clue about any band after 1992, except for.... you guessed it Glen..... Greta Van Fleet.
  16. Problem is the people coming for the classic bands probably have no idea who HEAT or Crazy Lixx is.
  17. I really liked Show No Mercy and Hell Awaits. They kinda lost me a bit after that.
