  1. At the end of the day I hope the injection of the new members gives the band a good kick up the ass. As good as the last album was upon listening to it recently it sort of feels like they were going through the motions and definitely could have done much better!
  2. Not for me so far but I'm only 1.5 playthroughs in. Eclipse on the other hand grabs me from first track on first listen. Something must be wrong with me! Please get better....
  3. Check out the first song Flying High. Cover be very deceiving. This is not for me....needs more metal!
  4. That's a great find. Tragic album cover, funny video I guess but that mid-80s metal feel to those 3 songs is like a breathe of fresh air....as fresh as it can be after 20yrs! I dig it.
  5. If they were in the style as this EP I'd definitely give it a go. Probably wouldn't buy it blind, just like I didn't buy this one blind but my ears definitely wouldn't be closed to it. Some of my fav songs are hard rock and metal versions of songs from genres and bands I would NEVER listen to!
  6. Someone told me its ultra cheese. Surprisingly I love DT at their cheesiest and most melodic ie. Awake, Scenes etc. I'm in and will check it out.
  7. As it's not being released as an EP or a live album but a deluxe edition of Armageddonize it can only mean that the Armageddonize album is the centerpiece of this release. That to me means that the live recording could be suspect along with the additional track and 5 acoustic tracks.
  8. Sorry Karpet, first was amazing, second was OK, third no good and this new clip sounds terrible!
  9. Oh FFS. Why not release a deluxe edition at launch so we don't have to buy it again. Or release the new stuff as an EP!
  10. Who would have thought that Coup de Grace was going to be as awesome as it was given how long they'd been away. I agree that the album title and soul searching remarks makes me think this could be a step back.....but then when have Treat ever not delivered? Ok, yeah a little in 1992 as they were imploding, as was the entire scene. What I'm trying to say is that they have always delivered and always deliver melodies! They know their way round a song. If they were putting out a thrash, aor, concept, rock opera, speed metal, covers or other genre of release they'd do a good job. Can't wait for this one.
  11. Great news that they're continuing on and there's a new CD in the works!
  12. But we haven't finished hating on the first one yet!
  13. Reckless Love have always been poppy. Monster is still poppy but in a more updated feel. I have no issues with it, the song is OK but I've generally liked the non-singles the most off their previous releases and hope for the same here. Not sure why people are dissin' on the lyrics. They're not much different to a handful of songs on each of their earlier releases. Shakespeare they ain't! I for one am glad for that fact.
  14. Wow! Really? That's a shitty song, regardless who's playing it. Oh shit. Pains me to say it, but I totally agree. Wow, what's wrong with u guys? A great song is a great song. I hate southern rock, blues etc. as well as classic rock in general but a good song is a good song regardless of genre. Skynrd had some absolute gems. The problem here is having a Euro band do something so distinctively American and it could never work. It's like putting nutella and cheese together in a sandwich. Separately they are great, together...hmmm no! The same thing goes for countless non-english speaking euro bands doing covers of classic British artists like Thin Lizzy eg. Pretty Maids, Scorpions and so on. Dreadful stuff!
  15. You're out your fooking mind, Terry. What floorboards said! What don't u like about it?
  16. Check out Pledge music for more info: http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/vain Looks similar to Enough Rope in that there's a mixture of old demos and new songs being recorded. Sweet!
  17. It's called Ghost of Graceland and out in Japan on April 13.
  18. I'd be interested to see if that remains there after you play it back. I always thought it was okay too - it does not stand the rest of time. I love the closing ballad, but could basically leave the rest, to be honest. Weak album, imo. Only their first two are worth a thing from these guys, sadly. Disagree, I still like it a lot. Yep. Just listened to it yesterday to see if he was right. Of course, no surprise, he was wrong. It's a solid effort. Geoff is right. The debut is easily their best and for me the rest of their releases are patchy and inconsistent. There's usually a great track or two, maybe 3 on all post debut albums. Shame, could have been a great band.
  19. Check out their live gigs on YouTube.. Awesome. He does say 'perform' and NOT record I'm digging the EP and like that I don't own any of the songs on my other CDs.
  20. Finally saw Star Wars VII which was good. Like the way the Empire and now whomever they are have a total disregard for OH&S. Here in Australia if you're working on the roof of a 2 story house you need to put up rails....obviously this is not an issue on the Death Star/Star Killer etc.
  21. Fuckers... http://www.shavershop.com.au/online-store/blade-shavers/gill-razor-fusion-power.html
  22. Batteries. Sure you wait and stockpile when they're half price but fuck me does the cost pile up when you add 3 kids into the mix! Fuck parking and razors! Oh, and not sure if I was seeing things at the supermarket or not but isn't there now battery powered disposable razors? Double the $ pain!
